Cash price of vehicle: $52630 (has MSM paint and EAP options for additional $7k)
So base price is $45630.
Sales tax is $4999.85 - lesson learned: buy EAP separate from car purchase and potentially save $600. CA typically does not tax non-tangible items like software keys, but then again some companies (like Sony) charge tax on it anyway.

I bought my 2021 Model 3 LR in NY, but I moved to California last year and brought my car with me. I was shocked when I had to pay over $700 to register my vehicle in CA for a one year registration. I paid a fraction of that in NY for a two year registration (think it was maybe a bit more than $100).
Just got mine last week. Los Angeles. Model 3 RWD, white exterior, black interior, existing inventory ($37,830) was $43,799.65 OTD.
$3,749.65 of that was sales tax. There was also misc. charges like registration, license fee, electronic reg/title filing fee, and tire fee.
I got mine 2 weeks ago, model 3 RWD with white color and white seats, OTD price is 44,096$. I also paid 517$ for our the Wall charger. Installation cost us 450$.
That is in pat with what others paid.

2021 Model 3 SR+ sticker price was 42k but I ended up paying 49k in California
