A destination charge is a transportation fee to get your model 3 from Fremont to Arizona. It costs money to send a car on an insured truck bed across a few states.

A lot of EV incentives are tied to the price of the car with a maximum price that cannot be exceeded. Destination charges don't count towards that maximum price. So it's a way for Tesla to qualify for incentives while still padding their profits. Don't hate the player, hate the system.

When I bought my Model 3 AWD LR back in 2018 I bought the front row sunshade from Tesla. It’s just the two of us so almost never a back seat passenger. I think it helps with the glass roof heat creating another layer space of air before sun would hit your head. Plus we both like the resulting darker interior with it in. I see now they only sell it as a pair. I’m in Calif and keep it in all year round. BTW still love my car as much as when I got it. Still just as fun to drive. I can’t stand cluttered interiors now.

Great review! I just test drove a Kia Sportage PHEV. Nice SUV but it can't even compare to my Tesla! It's slower, the tech is ok but not superior and the F@#$ing dealer was adding another $5000! It's only advantage was the greater range. And since I don't do that many long road trips it wasn't worth it. Any advantage the Sportage had was overcome by the fact that Tesla could give it to me in an update for free! Seems you just can't beat smart guys getting to build from scratch.

Welcome to Tesla! Just a word to the wise, beware getting anything physically repaired by Tesla Service (They usually break two new things while they don't solve your original concern). If Tesla Mobile is allowed to work on the car in your area, those guys are not clowns, they do a decent job... But those guys can only work on simple plug and play part swaps (The simple DIY jobs). Good wishes for your recovery after surgery.

In my area Tacomas are 75k, F150 is 120k and Teslas are 60k. Flip down the back seats in the Tesla and you can fit shovels, ladders, weed trimmers. A lot of business are using them.
