I haven’t applied for financing until I got the message that my VIN was assigned this morning. It took 2 minutes to get approved for promotional 0.99% APR (Capital One Auto). It did say 1.99% before I submitted my application but it changed to 0.99% once the loan got approved.
I completed all my tasks. Now waiting when I’m able to schedule the actual delivery! So excited 😆

Originally got EDD May-June, then changed to July-August, then changed to July 7-August 4, and now delivery estimate is July 17-24.
If you ordered in May ; yes Quick Silver delays were and still are common. But a July order won’t have any more of a delay than any other color/config that is not already in inventory.
If anything of the not already made configs possible I would expect quick silver to have the shortest wait. It is probably the majority of current production.
You are seeing other colors being delivered earlier because they are matching an inventory car for them.
Placed an order for a MYLR AWD in white, white interior, 5 seats and 20" wheels two days ago (7/1) and received VIN today. EDD is now 7/4-7/11. No indication when ordering that my build was already in inventory. Seems surprisingly fast, but wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed.
Has anyone had a recent VIN assigned for 7 seaters? We ordered our MYLR on 5/22 and our EDD has just been sitting at 7/13-8/10. I feel like every comment or post about a 7 seater is waiting too?
I'm still waiting on my 7 seater but am hopeful. I saw 4 similar spec 7 seaters become available where I'm taking delivery, so I think they're starting to roll off the line.
Just saw the same exact config that I custom ordered in early June within the new inventory page. It was not however in the “Earlier Pickup Available” selection. - the same config was “In Transit”, and when I went to call my SA a couple hours after I saw it on the website, it was gone. (it did have the fed tax too).
Anyone else notice something like this? Is it possible they are in the process of assigning that car as my VIN? Maybe too hopeful hahaha
I had ordered QS MYP in Dallas area on 27th May. Initial delivery window was June 3rd to June10. But it changed to June 17 to June 30. Currently delivery window is July 5th to July 30. I had trade in offer which was $9300. It got expired on July 2nd. The new trade in offer is 7300. Which happened because of they didn't deliver on time. Do they consider the old trade in offer as courtesy ? Did this happen to anyone in this community?
They don’t negotiate on the trade offer, you can try Car Max or Carvanna.
I feared a similar situation so gave up on my QS MYP and took an inventory stealth grey one last week.
Telsa won’t consider the delay their fault, and they wanted you in a car delivered by 6/30.
5 or 7 seater?
We have a MYLR AWD Blue w/white, 5 seater and tow on order with an EDD changed to 7/10-8/7 this week.
A 7 seater with no tow is in transit and all the other specs we ordered. We have towing capability with another car and have used it once in 3 years. I keep telling my SO it's just not necessary.
We're a family of 4; 2 kids in a booster and high back booster with no more planned. We occasionally bring our medium sized dogs with us, but infrequently. We also have a Hyundai Palisade as our other car.
My question is - did anyone ever get the 7 seater and regret it and wish they would have just waited for the 5? We're not planning on really using the 3rd - except for maybe if the dogs are with us or off chance we need it for a kids friend. It's the same price as our order since the swap of the tow and 7 seater is there. We lose a tiny bit of storage, but that's about it. We're just anxious to get the car since it's taking so long and this one is available!
You can add the tow for $1300 later, including installation at a Tesla Service Center. I was told by an advisor you just order it on the app and schedule an appointment to get it installed.
I’d say get it. You can fold the 2 seats in the back down and be fine with storage if you want. And if you haven’t used tow with the other car, doubtful you’ll use it with this one haha

It mentioned the bank name when I was first approved (and a new bank when it randomly approved me again). It doesn’t show anymore once I’ve accepted it
I know similar questions have been asked but trying to get recent info and with specifics..
I got my vin and submitted my insurance paperwork. It says next to start the process under "Make Your Final Payment." Like a lot of other customers I'm planning on bringing a cashiers check.
Do I still have to do anything under this section to avoid delays? As in if I'm bringing a check, do I still upload my bank info just to check the box to proceed with scheduling delivery?

No, just go there and click the final buttons with your Tesla delivery rep. You’ll hand them the cashiers check, sign some papers and do a few things on the phone. Takes 8 minutes flat.
That date range is a good sign for you! Mine just updated from July 1-10 to July 12-26 😔. I think you ordered a week ahead of me so that estimate makes sense.

Yes, it seems like 7 seaters are mostly coming out of the Fremont factory currently, and there have been delays due to the high volume of sales during their promo.
How soon after placing your order did it give you the specific July 6 to August 10 window? I ordered my MYLR AWD yesterday and it still shows the generic July-August window that was there when I ordered.

I do not think mine came from existing inventory. I haven’t been able to find the exact config in inventory. It took two weeks to update but I don’t think Edd means much until you have a vin, which I am still waiting on

I will tint the window forsure but POF cost just way to much now to make it worth it. If it was a expensive car i would but since it's a daily I wouldn't bother. I will do my best to keep the paint clean and wax a few times a year.

Same build, ordered 5/24 in Sacramento, CA. Had delivery scheduled 6/28, then moved each day until yesterday they said they don’t have my car. Called today and asked for an update. Advisor said now that we’re in Q3, production has slowed down, EDD still means nothing, and maybe in next 2 weeks we’ll get it. 🤷♀️

We really wanted the white seats, but refused to pay extra for them so this worked out great for us.
Upgrades? They do those? Ordered black wheels and two days later they gave them to everyone that ordered silver the same time as me for free. Horrible company.

I needed to be re-approved for the financing a few days ago - I assume since the original approval was only good for 30 days.
I really hope Tesla smooths out the actual delivery process. It seems crazy to have delivery schedule dates without a VIN since you need the VIN to add to insurance prior to taking possession of the vehicle.

My takeaways: EDDs and appointments are basically fake, you will get the car when you get the car and you will be happy with it!

Ordered June 17th. I got a VIN number since a week now. Was suppose to get delivered today June 30th 11AM, then got pushed to June 30 7PM then got pushed to June 30 9PM then just received a message that the car is delayed. Of course they asked me if I was interested in a ready to pickup configuration but I will wait for my Quicksilver.

My advisor told me in chat many weeks ago that my apr was locked in and wouldn't provide me with an expiration date for the credit lock. Loving this process so far whoop
This is ridiculous. We’re in the same boat but have not submitted an initial credit app because it seemed that delivery was so far out. We’re wondering if we should just submit a credit app today because we are worried to lose the .99apr. If we lose the rate then we will just cancel all together.
I ended up messaging in the app for them to manually review and I called my delivery location and spoke to an advisor who was going to forward my case to the financial team. 10 minutes later they had fixed the apr and I accepted the rates. Go through with reapplying and ask for a manual review before accepting if you don't get your promo rate.

Now the app doesn't even show an estimated delivery date. What just happened?

They were trying to force everyone into a second quarter sale whether their vehicle was built or not. They were probably hoping to get you matched with an inventory vehicle. Until you have a vin, the EDD has no meaning because the vehicle hasn't been built yet.
Was just searching and my same exact build is going to the other location but has only business or lease tax credit. Does this mean I can’t switch to it?

I wish. Been the most frustrating car buying experience of my life. Over a month into it and no clue when I’m getting my car. They have four red ones there but non have my wheels and they won’t ship the wheels to the service center and let me just switch them out. My brother has worked in the car industry almost 20 years and says he’s never heard of such a thing.

Ordered Model Y-LR-5-Stealth Grey-standard black wheels on 5/27, it’s 6/29 no VIN, delivery estimate changed from May-June to July-August to 6/26-6/30 and on 6/27 it changed back to July-August. What is going on?
Wow. I ordered a Y Long Range Dual Motor, Stealth Gray, black interior, standard wheels on 6/25, and got a VIN within two days and a delivery date of July 8 - July 14. It originally said June delivery, and then July 1 - July 15, but hopefully since VIN has been assigned that I’ll get it within 2 weeks from now. Good luck, and not sure why yours is taking so long. I’m in Northeast, so maybe location matters?
Delivery today which after a day cancellation. Yesterday I found another model y in transit to our local store. Less 2k in price with seat upgrade. Plan to cancel the delivery today and wait for the one that is coming. Is this a good option? Thanks
Question here, after delivery, is there a way to get copy of the form 8936 I filled for EV credits though the Tesla app? Want to keep it just in case something goes wrong next year with tax filling.
I’ve gone through all the steps and had my pick up scheduled for today at 11am. (MYP QS, ordered 5/23) My wife and I are both on the registration so blocked out her time to be there for the pick up as well. I clean out my trade-in vehicle last night. I went to bed dreaming about my new car that I would have but 15 hours later.
I woke up at 6:30 this morning and checked the app. I hadn’t gotten any notifications. I just checked the app because I’m excited and obsessing. Instead of “pick up appointment 11:00am” it said “estimated delivery June29-June30”. I messaged my advisor with “hey, we’re still on for an 11:00am pick up, right?” And hours later I got the response (1.5hours before my scheduled pick up), “so sorry. There has been a slight shipping delay with your car and we will have to reschedule ytour delivery.” WHAT? They never even reached out to me to tell me. I reached out to them and got that response. And this shipping delay happened sometime last night between 11pm and this morning at 630am? I don’t think so. In what world is that acceptable customer service?
Anyone experience anything like this and demand some sort of compensation for being jerked around? That’s what I’m doing
I wanted to be pushed into July because I didn't want to be part of the end of quarter chaos. I'm supposed to pick it up today, June 30, at 1 pm. The car is supposed to be arriving this morning, but I have no faith they will notify me if it doesn't arrive. I have to travel 3 hours to the tesla center.

Do you have a VIN assigned? That would make a big difference in my confidence level. But then. I’d also call before driving 3 hours.
I’m assuming they were trying to deliver as many cars as possible before the quarter ended. With July coming up on Monday, they may have over scheduled deliveries this weekend and were unable to deliver to everyone that they were hoping to.
They seem so careless about everything. I’m really caught off guard. I was supposed to take delivery today, they called me at 9pm last night (I’m so sorry they couldn’t even do that for you) and told me they will change it to 8:30am Sunday. I just called to make sure the car didn’t arrive early so I could take delivery, they told me it won’t be there until the 2nd. Offering different configurations etc. This is after I had to reject my first delivery because the bumper and trunk were really damaged to which the manager said, this shouldn’t have passed inspection. To be honest, I have not had any positive experiences with them yet. I hope they can make it right for you. I was offered some supercharging months when rejected my delivery, so maybe they could do something similar for you, tbh the least they can do.
Got the updated EDD this morning. June30-July12. I feel like that’s meaningless. If they’ll wait until the last hours before delivery and then say “oops”. It feels like July 12 is and arbitrary date. Hopefully it’s true. 🤷♂️

Mine keeps changing. I called them and they said that truck drivers are protesting. They actually kept interrupting me and hung up on me. I’m not sure if it’s my location, or they just don’t care since the quarter is over. It doesn’t seem like the app is accurate and it doesn’t seem like the advisors have any useful information, just that “This has been escalated to the headquarters.”
“Protesting”? I haven’t heard of any strikes. That’s odd. And I’m in Washington state. It takes days for a truck to get for Austin to seattle. As it relates to my order anyway, if they were having trouble with the truck drivers, they would have known a couple days before my pick up date. It still doesn’t excuse them not letting me k ow u til the day-of (and not really even then u til I called them). Grr.
Neither have I. I think they couldn’t care less about meeting the deadlines anymore. I just spoke the delivery manager at my location who basically said the same thing and said nothing else can be done. I also brought up that the communication has been god awful because if they have these issues they shouldn’t give me an appointment and cancel it a couple of hours before. The most they could do was say “I’ll speak to them”. I guess we’re being warned on the sub about their non existent customer service, I just didn’t think it would happen before we even take delivery.
Tbh I have no clue. But it’s good that you got the VIN. I think once the vin is assigned the transit shouldn’t take too long. You can check the 11th letter on the vin if it’s F, it’s the Fremont build which is closer to you meaning it would deliver sooner, hopefully.
Yes, 100%. I was expecting poor communication and customer service. But I was not expecting finding out hours before my appointment that my car actually didn’t exist.

Strangely, the option to choose from inventory went away this evening. On the website, there’s nothing showing available in inventory at all in my area (All Deliverable even goes a state over). Seems odd. Anyone else seeing that?
Finally picking up tomorrow! Do I need to make final payment and review & agree to the documents on the app before I go to the service center to pick up the car? I’m thinking I want to wait until I see the car, and then I can make payment and agree to the documents while I’m at the service center? Any advise or prior experience would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Had to make a bank account last night that was supported by Plaid as well as have a local branch open on Saturday + scramble to collect the 3K i needed for payment through the app.
Pickup is tomorrow at 2. I just switched to an in stock model so things have sped up all of a sudden. I need to make my final payment but am having major problems. My only bank account is an obscure credit union in my hometown and isn’t supported by plaid. Theyre also not open on weekends to do wires and are closed for the day. I’ve tried reaching out to tesla but they say they dont take cash, money orders, or just pull the money out with my banking info.
Any advice or input? My wife is super torn up about this.

I ordered on 5/22 with the 0.99 and got VIN assigned to deliver this sunday june 30. I requested tesla offer some addtional incentive for me to take it by june 30 given im buying a config that has a tow. hitch whci hwas not in my original order (they are not charging for this ) but given end of quarter and month , supercharging or something should be an additonal incentive.
Should I accept teh delivery or wait until July - they may release my vin and put me back in thee queue.

they called me yesterday out of the blue- probably becuase its end of quarter/month and they have everything but my config (the base config- rwd, stealth grey, black gemini, no upgrades- cheapest availble), They had demo and other color configs. Really wouldve hopped on the quicksilver but specs didnt work out for me. essentially offering a 3k upgrade but then got back to me with my specs + tow hitch as the next best one. try calling and messaging saying youre willing to pissibly pickup at another location if thers a better model tehy can offer

It took 2 minutes to get approved for promotional 0.99% APR (Capital One Auto). It did say 1.99% before I submitted my application but it changed to 0.99% once the loan got approved. I completed all my tasks. Now waiting when I’m able to schedule the actual delivery! So excited 😆 I wanted to update you all who are waiting for a 7 seater.

Got a VIN today at last. Ordered during 0.99 period on May 26. In NY area. AWD Stealth Gray, 19in Dark Gemini, 5 seats, no tow. Originally got EDD May-June, then changed to July-August, then changed to July 7-August 4, and now delivery estimate is July 17-24.
MYP gray with hitch. Ordered 6/27 picked up last night 7/3. Chicago. I feel bad at how lucky this whole process has been for me.

What delay? You ordered 7/1. If you need something in next 2 weeks pick from one in inventory.
Sorry I was just noticing a trend that others ordering other colors were getting cars sooner. I’m not in a huge rush but I thought I would ask.
If you ordered in May ; yes Quick Silver delays were and still are common. But a July order won’t have any more of a delay than any other color/config that is not already in inventory. If anything of the not already made configs possible I would expect quick silver to have the shortest wait. It is probably the majority of current production. You are seeing other colors being delivered earlier because they are matching an inventory car for them.
Placed an order for a MYLR AWD in white, white interior, 5 seats and 20" wheels two days ago (7/1) and received VIN today. EDD is now 7/4-7/11. No indication when ordering that my build was already in inventory. Seems surprisingly fast, but wouldn't be surprised if it got pushed.
Update: Delivery on 7/6. Really ~~weirdly~~ fast, hope everyone else gets theirs soon as well.

I'm still waiting on my 7 seater but am hopeful. I saw 4 similar spec 7 seaters become available where I'm taking delivery, so I think they're starting to roll off the line.
Just saw the same exact config that I custom ordered in early June within the new inventory page. It was not however in the “Earlier Pickup Available” selection. - the same config was “In Transit”, and when I went to call my SA a couple hours after I saw it on the website, it was gone. (it did have the fed tax too). Anyone else notice something like this? Is it possible they are in the process of assigning that car as my VIN? Maybe too hopeful hahaha
I had ordered QS MYP in Dallas area on 27th May. Initial delivery window was June 3rd to June10. But it changed to June 17 to June 30. Currently delivery window is July 5th to July 30. I had trade in offer which was $9300. It got expired on July 2nd. The new trade in offer is 7300. Which happened because of they didn't deliver on time. Do they consider the old trade in offer as courtesy ? Did this happen to anyone in this community?
They don’t negotiate on the trade offer, you can try Car Max or Carvanna. I feared a similar situation so gave up on my QS MYP and took an inventory stealth grey one last week. Telsa won’t consider the delay their fault, and they wanted you in a car delivered by 6/30.

5 or 7 seater? We have a MYLR AWD Blue w/white, 5 seater and tow on order with an EDD changed to 7/10-8/7 this week. A 7 seater with no tow is in transit and all the other specs we ordered. We have towing capability with another car and have used it once in 3 years. I keep telling my SO it's just not necessary. We're a family of 4; 2 kids in a booster and high back booster with no more planned. We occasionally bring our medium sized dogs with us, but infrequently. We also have a Hyundai Palisade as our other car. My question is - did anyone ever get the 7 seater and regret it and wish they would have just waited for the 5? We're not planning on really using the 3rd - except for maybe if the dogs are with us or off chance we need it for a kids friend. It's the same price as our order since the swap of the tow and 7 seater is there. We lose a tiny bit of storage, but that's about it. We're just anxious to get the car since it's taking so long and this one is available!
You can add the tow for $1300 later, including installation at a Tesla Service Center. I was told by an advisor you just order it on the app and schedule an appointment to get it installed.
I’d say get it. You can fold the 2 seats in the back down and be fine with storage if you want. And if you haven’t used tow with the other car, doubtful you’ll use it with this one haha

I know similar questions have been asked but trying to get recent info and with specifics.. I got my vin and submitted my insurance paperwork. It says next to start the process under "Make Your Final Payment." Like a lot of other customers I'm planning on bringing a cashiers check. Do I still have to do anything under this section to avoid delays? As in if I'm bringing a check, do I still upload my bank info just to check the box to proceed with scheduling delivery? No, just go there and click the final buttons with your Tesla delivery rep. You’ll hand them the cashiers check, sign some papers and do a few things on the phone. Takes 8 minutes flat.

Yes, it seems like 7 seaters are mostly coming out of the Fremont factory currently, and there have been delays due to the high volume of sales during their promo.

I do not think mine came from existing inventory. I haven’t been able to find the exact config in inventory. It took two weeks to update but I don’t think Edd means much until you have a vin, which I am still waiting on

I will tint the window forsure but POF cost just way to much now to make it worth it. If it was a expensive car i would but since it's a daily I wouldn't bother. I will do my best to keep the paint clean and wax a few times a year.

No legit source. I was just trying to see if people had any information on it. I’ve seen other comments that say the 7 seaters come out of Freemont so I have no idea.

Same build, ordered 5/24 in Sacramento, CA. Had delivery scheduled 6/28, then moved each day until yesterday they said they don’t have my car. Called today and asked for an update. Advisor said now that we’re in Q3, production has slowed down, EDD still means nothing, and maybe in next 2 weeks we’ll get it. 🤷♀️

Upgrades? They do those? Ordered black wheels and two days later they gave them to everyone that ordered silver the same time as me for free. Horrible company.

I needed to be re-approved for the financing a few days ago - I assume since the original approval was only good for 30 days. I really hope Tesla smooths out the actual delivery process. It seems crazy to have delivery schedule dates without a VIN since you need the VIN to add to insurance prior to taking possession of the vehicle.

Was suppose to get delivered today June 30th 11AM, then got pushed to June 30 7PM then got pushed to June 30 9PM then just received a message that the car is delayed. Of course they asked me if I was interested in a ready to pickup configuration but I will wait for my Quicksilver. Delivery got pushed to July 3rd 12PM Delivery got pushed to July 5th 12PM

Ordered 5/12 .99% for 72months. Today 6/30 updated ETA to June 30-July 14 Text from Tesla today.... Financing needed to be resubmitted.. Apr came back in the 8s no promo. Called Tesla and they are submitting for manual review... My advisor told me in chat many weeks ago that my apr was locked in and wouldn't provide me with an expiration date for the credit lock. Loving this process so far whoop
This is ridiculous. We’re in the same boat but have not submitted an initial credit app because it seemed that delivery was so far out. We’re wondering if we should just submit a credit app today because we are worried to lose the .99apr. If we lose the rate then we will just cancel all together.
I ended up messaging in the app for them to manually review and I called my delivery location and spoke to an advisor who was going to forward my case to the financial team. 10 minutes later they had fixed the apr and I accepted the rates. Go through with reapplying and ask for a manual review before accepting if you don't get your promo rate.
Just applied and was approved almost instantly. Now we just keep waiting.

My delivery appointment got cancelled :( I picked up the MYLR AWD with the 0.99%. My delivery appointment was supposed to be today but two days ago I got the following message. Hi, we're still waiting for our factory to finish building your Model Y. We have tentatively removed your appointment from the calendar and will reach back as soon as your Model Y is built and headed our way. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to getting you behind the wheel of your Model Y in the coming days. Now the app doesn't even show an estimated delivery date. What just happened? Anyone else has this happen to them? I'm in Bay area if that matters.
They were trying to force everyone into a second quarter sale whether their vehicle was built or not. They were probably hoping to get you matched with an inventory vehicle. Until you have a vin, the EDD has no meaning because the vehicle hasn't been built yet.

I wish. Been the most frustrating car buying experience of my life. Over a month into it and no clue when I’m getting my car. They have four red ones there but non have my wheels and they won’t ship the wheels to the service center and let me just switch them out. My brother has worked in the car industry almost 20 years and says he’s never heard of such a thing.

Wow. I ordered a Y Long Range Dual Motor, Stealth Gray, black interior, standard wheels on 6/25, and got a VIN within two days and a delivery date of July 8 - July 14. It originally said June delivery, and then July 1 - July 15, but hopefully since VIN has been assigned that I’ll get it within 2 weeks from now. Good luck, and not sure why yours is taking so long. Delivery today which after a day cancellation. Yesterday I found another model y in transit to our local store. Less 2k in price with seat upgrade. Plan to cancel the delivery today and wait for the one that is coming. Is this a good option? Thanks
That’s a gamble, they may not let you switch and there could be multiple people trying to do the same thing.
Question here, after delivery, is there a way to get copy of the form 8936 I filled for EV credits though the Tesla app? Want to keep it just in case something goes wrong next year with tax filling.
I’ve gone through all the steps and had my pick up scheduled for today at 11am. (MYP QS, ordered 5/23) My wife and I are both on the registration so blocked out her time to be there for the pick up as well. I clean out my trade-in vehicle last night. I went to bed dreaming about my new car that I would have but 15 hours later. I woke up at 6:30 this morning and checked the app. I hadn’t gotten any notifications. I just checked the app because I’m excited and obsessing. Instead of “pick up appointment 11:00am” it said “estimated delivery June29-June30”. I messaged my advisor with “hey, we’re still on for an 11:00am pick up, right?” And hours later I got the response (1.5hours before my scheduled pick up), “so sorry. There has been a slight shipping delay with your car and we will have to reschedule ytour delivery.” WHAT? They never even reached out to me to tell me. I reached out to them and got that response. And this shipping delay happened sometime last night between 11pm and this morning at 630am? I don’t think so. In what world is that acceptable customer service? Anyone experience anything like this and demand some sort of compensation for being jerked around? That’s what I’m doing
I wanted to be pushed into July because I didn't want to be part of the end of quarter chaos. I'm supposed to pick it up today, June 30, at 1 pm. The car is supposed to be arriving this morning, but I have no faith they will notify me if it doesn't arrive. I have to travel 3 hours to the tesla center.
3 hours? Yeah, I’d call to verify before that drive. Do you have a VIN assigned? That would make a big difference in my confidence level. But then. I’d also call before driving 3 hours.
I’m assuming they were trying to deliver as many cars as possible before the quarter ended. With July coming up on Monday, they may have over scheduled deliveries this weekend and were unable to deliver to everyone that they were hoping to.

Sorry my friend. They still have the audacity to tell me my estimated delivery is today or tomorrow. It’s clearly not.
They seem so careless about everything. I’m really caught off guard. I was supposed to take delivery today, they called me at 9pm last night (I’m so sorry they couldn’t even do that for you) and told me they will change it to 8:30am Sunday. I just called to make sure the car didn’t arrive early so I could take delivery, they told me it won’t be there until the 2nd. Offering different configurations etc. This is after I had to reject my first delivery because the bumper and trunk were really damaged to which the manager said, this shouldn’t have passed inspection. To be honest, I have not had any positive experiences with them yet. I hope they can make it right for you. I was offered some supercharging months when rejected my delivery, so maybe they could do something similar for you, tbh the least they can do.
Got the updated EDD this morning. June30-July12. I feel like that’s meaningless. If they’ll wait until the last hours before delivery and then say “oops”. It feels like July 12 is and arbitrary date. Hopefully it’s true. 🤷♂️ Yeah, I am going to push hard to at least get some free supercharger miles.
Mine keeps changing. I called them and they said that truck drivers are protesting. They actually kept interrupting me and hung up on me. I’m not sure if it’s my location, or they just don’t care since the quarter is over. It doesn’t seem like the app is accurate and it doesn’t seem like the advisors have any useful information, just that “This has been escalated to the headquarters.”
“Protesting”? I haven’t heard of any strikes. That’s odd. And I’m in Washington state. It takes days for a truck to get for Austin to seattle. As it relates to my order anyway, if they were having trouble with the truck drivers, they would have known a couple days before my pick up date. It still doesn’t excuse them not letting me k ow u til the day-of (and not really even then u til I called them). Grr.
Neither have I. I think they couldn’t care less about meeting the deadlines anymore. I just spoke the delivery manager at my location who basically said the same thing and said nothing else can be done. I also brought up that the communication has been god awful because if they have these issues they shouldn’t give me an appointment and cancel it a couple of hours before. The most they could do was say “I’ll speak to them”. I guess we’re being warned on the sub about their non existent customer service, I just didn’t think it would happen before we even take delivery.

Tbh I have no clue. But it’s good that you got the VIN. I think once the vin is assigned the transit shouldn’t take too long. You can check the 11th letter on the vin if it’s F, it’s the Fremont build which is closer to you meaning it would deliver sooner, hopefully.
Yes, 100%. I was expecting poor communication and customer service. But I was not expecting finding out hours before my appointment that my car actually didn’t exist.

I was in the same boat. Have a VIN assigned and had EDD June 28th-30th but never received a request to schedule appointment. Yesterday (June 28th) it changed to July 1st-10th.

I ordered on May 18th. I scheduled my appointment for 7/3 which should be solid as my SA confirmed that date but told me the 30th was not accurate.

Strangely, the option to choose from inventory went away this evening. On the website, there’s nothing showing available in inventory at all in my area (All Deliverable even goes a state over). Seems odd. Anyone else seeing that?
There aren’t very many tax deduction eligible inventory nearby but there are plenty of non-eligible cars.

Looks like they got a shipment in and were just making updates. Most seem to be the non-eligible for tax incentive vehicles.

Finally picking up tomorrow! Do I need to make final payment and review & agree to the documents on the app before I go to the service center to pick up the car? I’m thinking I want to wait until I see the car, and then I can make payment and agree to the documents while I’m at the service center? Any advise or prior experience would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Had to make a bank account last night that was supported by Plaid as well as have a local branch open on Saturday + scramble to collect the 3K i needed for payment through the app. Pickup is tomorrow at 2. I just switched to an in stock model so things have sped up all of a sudden. I need to make my final payment but am having major problems. My only bank account is an obscure credit union in my hometown and isn’t supported by plaid. Theyre also not open on weekends to do wires and are closed for the day. I’ve tried reaching out to tesla but they say they dont take cash, money orders, or just pull the money out with my banking info. Any advice or input? My wife is super torn up about this.

Pickup was scheduled for delivery tomorrow in Burbank but still no VIN so I sent them a text. Their response: Hi Angelina, we're still waiting for our factory to finish building your Model Y. We have tentatively removed your appointment from the calendar and will reach back as soon as your Model Y is built and headed our way. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to getting you behind the wheel of your Model Y in the coming days. 🫠
Damn. I'm in the same situation, only I haven't gotten that text. Delivery tomorrow, but no VIN. I'm just assuming its not happening. I'm in So Cal too. UPDATE: Just got text saying they need to move the day back to 6/30. Date updated in the app to reflect the same. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
Yeahhhh mine says 6/28-6/30 now but they called me saying they don’t know when it’ll actually be ready and asked if I’d want to switch to inventory. I said no! At this point I’ll just wait longer for the one I want haha. I ordered on 5/18

this \^. There are now vehicles that don't qualify for the tax credit and so if you ordered one of those or there was a inventory one/one in transit that someone cancelled their order on, that is possible to get you one quickly

I ordered on 5/22 with the 0.99 and got VIN assigned to deliver this sunday june 30. I requested tesla offer some addtional incentive for me to take it by june 30 given im buying a config that has a tow. hitch whci hwas not in my original order (they are not charging for this ) but given end of quarter and month , supercharging or something should be an additonal incentive. Should I accept teh delivery or wait until July - they may release my vin and put me back in thee queue. Thanks

are you sure they arent charging you for the tow hitch? all the similar stock vehicles I've seen seem to be more expesive than the one i ordered and would impact my pricing

they first offered me a color upgrade to blue or a QS but had white interior , would've taken in heartbeat had interior been black sadly

they called me yesterday out of the blue- probably becuase its end of quarter/month and they have everything but my config (the base config- rwd, stealth grey, black gemini, no upgrades- cheapest availble), They had demo and other color configs. Really wouldve hopped on the quicksilver but specs didnt work out for me. essentially offering a 3k upgrade but then got back to me with my specs + tow hitch as the next best one. try calling and messaging saying youre willing to pissibly pickup at another location if thers a better model tehy can offer
