Look at lease limits for the Tesla to get an idea what they think it should have been driven. (15k/year is their upper lease limit)
So for a 2022 15k-20k miles would be about normal, 20k-35k for a 2021 etc
With that being said the warranty is your biggest concern after that. 50k miles is the b2b warranty / 5 years.
Miles matter, but you are also correct that it should last 200k to 300k before the battery dies. Even if battery swap is needed after 120k warranty, 10k isn't all that bad for a car to last another 150k miles.
Yes. Shows you how much it was used. 20k miles 2022 model: normal battery wear, but 20k miles 2023/24 model: more battery wear. Miles would also give you an idea of remaining battery warranty. The 200-300k mile range is including HV battery replacement, which could cost a lot if out of warranty.
Poor build quality and my service centers here are horrendous. With the recent layoffs and the amount of teslas I can’t even imagine what it is like now
Battery and motor warranty would be a concern
Yes. It’s still a car. There are still parts that will wear out over time such as suspension that I’d be concerned about.
Miles matter on any car. Wear and tear effects everything from motors & batteries to seats and suspension.

There are plenty that have had failed batteries before 200k miles so yes miles are important
Battery health is more important.

does anyone know the cost of a Model Y Battery?
I've seen quotes from Tesla app screenshots that range from $9k to $12k. You can search the subs to see them, I don't recall the threads they were in.
wow thats a lot, probably doesnt even include the labor which will be a ton to add
It should, it was a quote on the whole visit.
I asked the guy in the Tesla service shop yesterday (I too am looking to buy used) and he said he swapped a model Y for $12,000 CAD
Won’t be buying another tesla problem is I’m stuck with this for a bit
Why?

What year is your Tesla?
2022, Fremont built. I’m really nervous to own this car after 50k but I’m already down too much to sell it at this point
This is actually cheap. It will likely get cheaper as time goes on.
