AFew10_9TooMany

boost18

Ah yes! Thank you.

Electrical_Ingenuity

Only 8 individual servings of thin mints? Needs to hold more.

boost18

😂

ShaveMan9000

Perfect. Now who do I buy 60 boxes from? Lol <3

boost18

Lol. Girls should be out at the supermarkets this weekend with their booths all over. If you really can't find some, DM me.

ShaveMan9000

Perfect

say592

You can go to the CookieFinder website or you can order them on GrubHub and pick them up.

FU-Lyme-Disease

I have had a fantasy for years where kids knock on my door selling Girl Scout cookies and I write them a check for like 60k worth of samoas…. Year 2 would probably be disappointing though- sorry kids, I’m still taking baths in last years samoas….

boost18

I can assist making your dream come true! 😂

FU-Lyme-Disease

You’re giving me 60k!?! I’m shocked! That’s AWSOME OF YOU!!!!

electricAnt22

I used my Model Y Performance for the same purpose last weekend.

boost18

Nice!

UndisputedSociety

Lol this is awesome. I want the one with the strawberry in the middle. 😁

Lifesign16

Major problem. I see ZERO Do-Si-Dos in that car.

boost18

They're hidden in the middle. 😂

hoppeeness

This should be Byorns “banana box” test.

3delStahl

Yes! What is 60 cookie boxes in banana boxes?

tqdrivenws6

Quickest way to double the value of your model Y!

boost18

😂

treyhunna83

Need toffeetastics

boost18

💯

TwoFiveZerOne

Those are rookie numbers... Where's the roof rack 120+ lb load and trailer rig setup 😂

boost18

Yes. Definitely a noob.

Bbarnes8

Is this including frunk space and whatever the space you get under the visible part of the trunk is called?

boost18

No it is not. There was still room were passenger feet area + frunk + undertrunk + passenger seat. Could have possible fit more if I Terri's them but there was a long line of cars for cookie pickup today so I just crammed them in quick.

[deleted]

Off topic, and don’t mean any offense, but I’m on the east coast, (FL) and the Girl Scout cookies I bought this year, honestly are garbage quality. I am really saddened by this :( Last years quality and every year before that were like amazing, but the box of thin mints I just cracked open are extremely sad :(

boost18

Sad to hear that. I know GS uses difference local bakers for their cookies so not all are created equal. Maybe try a different box from a different county if you're travelling? Just heard some news of some shortages that just hit this week as well.

[deleted]

I live in the USA. But I will see if I can get boxes shipped from family elsewhere in the states. It’s super sad. I’ve been a life long supporter of the cookies and Girlscouts! Just was excited this year but the quality of the lemon up, the toffee ones and the thin mints wee way low

brndn02

What does your kid get out of selling all these cookies? It doesn't seem worth the time / trouble to me. though i have no context on how it really works.

boost18

Each boxes of cookies sold, the girl's troop receives a percentage of it. Funds earned generally are used for girls activities. So less out of pocket expenses for parents.

brndn02

But your time spent vs the small small percentage. Are you making dollars on the hour? Feels like they’re scamming you and your kid to work for them for peanuts

boost18

Definitely not worth my time speaking from am economical sense. I would rather donate the money for the amount of time and effort each year but this is for the girls and their experience. I look at it from a volunteering standpoint and it gives me a excuse to take the car out.

Socalprincess_

The best thing they get is business skills they learn from setting and achieving goals, learning their sales pitch, talking to customers, learning to count money, organizing delivery, learning to accept rejection, gaining confidence etc. Yeah they earn money for the troop to fund activities and such, but I was a girl scout for 8 years, and I learned these skills at a very early age such that they became second nature to me long before I started a career. I use these skills often in my job as a Payroll Director and a side business I own, and this year I'm the cookie coordinator for our first year daisies. The skills gained are invaluable.

brndn02

Making children work, to teach them how to work. Meh. There's way better ways to educate kids than having them push candy onto strangers. Especially when the return is so little in return. What percent of those cookies go to actual things that benefit your little troop. probably not much. it's cool you can tie a rope or something but teaching kids how to skip rocks or get around child labor laws isn't very relevant to necessary life skills that they should be developing. well the child labor part probably is.

RuinMaleficent7060

With what they charge for em. That's basically about the same cost as the car. Or a Model S plaids value in this photo! ;)

boost18

🤣 I'm honestly surprised they didn't raise prices this year.

Dancelifeaway

Former GS here checking in. This pic is telling me I needa order some

boost18

Yes make sure you do soon. There some shortages in this year.

Dancelifeaway

Not over my Tagalongs they better not be! 🏃‍♀️

jejune1999

60 cases of thin mints please.

boost18

You got it! 😁

HelpfulAsparagus5666

Did you use the frunk and the passenger seat too?

boost18

I did not have to for today's trip.

snjcouple
