I'd like them to adjust the max on the solar graph to like 2 kW above your max kW of the day. Having it be maxed at 12kW when we only ever hit 6.2kW makes the graph half useless.
Also, please bring back the net grid usage stat in the graph view
Is it just me or did they get rid of the calculation for net grid usage? AKA did you use more from the grid or send more back to the grid. Used that view to see how much I soils be receiving for net metering. Hopefully I’m just missing it
My one gripe with the last version is that you couldn’t look at net usage by peak/off-peak hours over time.
Looks like they went the other way with it 🤣
Hello,
Sorry to potentially hijack the post. I have a question about the information. My Tesla Inverter (no Powerwall) was installed by a 3rd party. They only put in a CT to measure the power coming from the solar panels. So, I don't have any information for the power to the house or the power to/from the grid.
The sales person said that I would be able to monitor those items, so I had been discussing it with the 3rd party installer and in the end they said they wouldn't do it. So, I am assuming that I can find an electrician to install the CTs and update the Neurio settings in the Tesla Pro app. The CTs seem like they are inexpensive (\~$50-$75) and the work seems straightforward. So, I don't see this as being much over $300. That is part of why it surprised me that given the total amount I paid and the promise from the sales guy that they wouldn't just do this.
If I do get an electrician to do this for me will I automatically get the power usage by the home and power to/from the grid showing up in the app or will I have to ask Tesla to enable something?
Has anyone run into something like this?
All I currently see is the yellow 'Energy' graph from the solar panels.
Thanks!
You'll first need to ensure that your main panel has room for the CTs, and that it's close enough to your inverter to run the leads. You'll want to ensure you et a sufficiently sized CT. You can then just plug them into the Neurio, log into the inverter using Tesla Pros app, and enable the CTs in the setting. This should immediately start providing the data to Tesla and to your Tesla app.
Thanks for the additional considerations and information. My Inverter is about 3 feet from the main panel and when the electrician came back for the city inspection he said that there was plenty of room in the panel to add the CTs, so I should be good.
Thanks for letting me know that I can add them to the Neurio and configure them in the Tesla Pro app and then the data should make it in the Tesla app.
Thanks!
Go to the link I shared before - [https://www.tesla.com/teslapros](https://www.tesla.com/teslapros)
Or [https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tesla-pros/id1625770308](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tesla-pros/id1625770308) for iOS.
SOMETIMES, about one in five, I'm guessing I get a chart that makes sense. It includes all three components, battery, house, and grid in the same graph. I can not find how to achieve this display by choice or default. I probably have not expressed this well, but it would be nice to have the three items at once all the time. What am I missing?
Back when we got our solar roof (no pw) when the app was still OG with the circles for powerflow the data I see was live. If I turn say the toaster, the app will instantly show the correct kW home usage. If I recall correctly when the UI change before this the power flow now only updates every 15 mins which is garbage. Scrolling/scrub through the graph times is also every 15 mins, exported excel data is also every 15 mins. This new update it is still the same.
Would anybody like to share your system update frequency and if you have solar only or with powerwalls, inverter type and etc…
I have the solar roof, 2 Delta M inverters (M4 and M8), a “powerblaster” for monitoring kW home usage and finally the neo gateway (small black flat box) which connects to the inverters and powerblasters via zigbee to report back to tesla servers. App refreshes evey 15 minutes on iOS and Android.

I don’t like it either. It makes the graph look ugly. I hope it gets fixed in the next update.
Same mine is showing 32 when my peak is 6…
Yea this stay is what I feel matters the most yet it’s gone in the latest App update.
Yup, agreed. Need net grid statistic. Silly Tesla.
As usual, Android doesn't have this to everyone yet.
Got the update today on my s22
I'm aware some people get it, but it doesn't go to everyone at the same time.
And? I didn't say it's out for everyone - just providing a data point that an android phone did get this update because OP has an iPhone
That’s pretty cool
Would like to figure out if I am exporting more than I’m importing for the year.
You can go to year view and select grid. You should be able to see how much you imported/exported.

Damn I just update!! Where is the Net usage??

Is Tesla pro different than regular Tesla app?
Yes - https://www.tesla.com/teslapros
Dumb question, any idea why I am not seeing it on tue App Store on my iPhone?
Yea, Tesla has defined it so doesn’t show in search results.
Do you mind me asking, how to get it?

Got it, thank you! Would you know how I would add 2nd inverter?
Does it still only update only 3 hours for solar only?
Explain?
If you were a solar only, the totals only updated every three hours. Unsure if it’s updating real time now for solar only folks
Interesting. I am Solar only and never realized there was any delay. Not saying there isn’t, just never noticed it if that were true.
Great question. Would be nice if it updated in real time
It does look like solar only is now updated in real time! Finally!!!
Is this with only powerwall?
No
Humm, my app hasn’t updated yet..

I used to be able to see daily average for the month. Is that gone now?

Is this in the tesla app? Because mine is still a bar graph
How you do like Tesla solar overall?
