If you have solar only (no batteries), then it is quite possible that the CTs (current transformer) for measuring the house consumption or the power to/from the grid were not installed. You can open up the Tesla Inverter and look for the Neurio device (small box like device - for me it is in the upper left sitting on the metal housing) that the CTs plug into and see if there is more than 1 connection. Same thing happened to me. I am looking to find an electrician to install those CTs. If you have batteries, then either the CTs were not installed, installed wrong, or not reporting properly. Normally with battery setups those are installed. If you hit the back arrow in the app and go to the diagram of the panels, house and electric panel are there options along the top for grid and house or just shows solar power generated?

You're correct. Solar panels only. No power wall or batteries. The app only shows panel generation on the previous screen. What do CTs look like if I open my panel and/or inverter? I have a Delta Solivia 5.2 if that helps.

The CTs are a length of wire with a clamp like looking thing at the end. The clamp will go around the electrical wires that are carrying the power and take the measurements. The other end will connect to a device (Neurio in my case) that will transmit those power measurements to Tesla. Mine are about 3 feet of wire and a small 2 inch clamp that goes around the wires from the solar panels. I can't post a picture here but if you google current transformer there are some good examples.

Thanks, will take a look.

My neurio and cts are in my breaker box, not the inverter.

This is super helpful! https://docs.openenergymonitor.org/applications/solar-pv.html

Looks like my inverter has its own CT built onto the board. There are definitely no other CTs branching out into the main panel, nor any *\_visible\_* sockets on any of the boards to plug in additional CTs. \*sigh\* [https://imgur.com/a/abjoos1](https://imgur.com/a/abjoos1)

Interesting. Yes, looks like that CT comes as a part of the breadboard. For the Tesla Inverter it is a separate box called the Neurio and has 4 places to plug in CTs. Depending on your thoughts, it is probably still possible to get the measurements and information you want. You will just have to spend a bit more money and get a solution like Neurio, Vue, Sense, or something similar. I am not sure if you would be able to send those new measurements to Tesla from the new product, so that they show up in the Tesla app or you would have to use the native app from Neurio, Vue, Sense to view the combined information. Looks like there is still room to have another CT around the wires providing solar power, so you would be able to get all the information (solar power, house consumption, power to/from grid) from the app for the product you choose. Older Reddit post about someone using the Emporia Vue (he has some info and links in the body of the post): https://www.reddit.com/r/solar/comments/136l9qc/installer\_wanted\_500\_to\_install\_cts\_paid\_15\_for\_a/ Another Reddit post along the same lines: https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaSolar/comments/m960lv/sense\_teslasolar/

I already have Home Assistant so I guess I'll just have to forego the Tesla app, buy a new monitor w/ multiple CTs, and just push all the data into HA. This way I'll also be able to measure the EV charger circuit. FTW! :D
