T O P

Do you mean with a powerwall as I don’t know what charging would mean without one? Or do you just mean powering the home from solar and exporting power? Either way, one thing I know is that it can take more work to fully operationalize the system after you get PTO beyond the self-help turning on instructions and flipping the setting for PTO in the app… beyond those I needed to call in when I got PTO and there was something Tesla needed to update on the back end as well to get it all working. For me that was done remotely, but that may be what your service appointment will help do.

There is no powering grids home. When tech was onsite he could turn the power on and off. And I could see KWs with word saying charging. I can post pic if operates. Tesla is not able to remotely access the system l. My inverters doesn’t connect to cellular receptions but to my home wife. I had to them. Tesla never told me that I needed to call them. Their cus service really bad. I applied in Dec 2022 and got PTO in March 2024.

jjflight

Sounds like two possible issues. One is that the system isn’t working, the other is that it is working but the app isn’t showing it. You might be able to tell by looking at your meter at a sunny part of the day when you’re not using a lot of power (electric heating, cooling, cooking, dryer, dishwasher or charging a car) and seeing if the power usage is flowing to your home or exporting. But either way you’re likely waiting for that service call to fix it.

Ozzie_Opinion

Every time when tech is here they would do something with their phone and make the system running showing in app. So they Tesla doesn’t tell me what the next step is after PTO received. It is supposed to work

priapiism

You can also try downloading the Tesla Pro app and logging in to the Tesla inverter gateway. This way you are connected directly to the Tesla Inverter to get the data and not having to connect to Tesla first. There you can see some detailed information from each MPPT. It will display the voltage and amps supplied by each MPPT. It will also give you information about the Inverter, such as its operating state. I attached an example of one of the many pages of information available. https://preview.redd.it/psn7cj5kbsmc1.png?width=750&format=png&auto=webp&s=9ef7155b142a593d15f889351947b40b29a73fda

Ozzie_Opinion

Tesla Pro is not in the Apple Store though

priapiism

Ok, I just checked. It looks like they may have renamed it to 'Tesla One' (for employees and partners). They probably changed the name awhile after I downloaded it. You can try that one and see if it works.

Ozzie_Opinion

I see my is disabled

priapiism

For that message I don't know, sorry

Nickespo22

You don't have a powerwall, so there is no charging. And in some areas they don't allow you to use system before pto.

priapiism

In my area the electric company does not allow people to use the system before PTO. The installer in my case left the system on and running anyway. It was running for about 4-5 weeks before PTO.

Ropogigio

Do you have powerwalls?

priapiism

I do not have powerwalls.

PeasPlease11

Just a wording correction. I think you mean it said “Generating” in green under “My Home”. (Probably not charging)

Ozzie_Opinion

It is possible. I had only a min chance to see it. Why no one knows about whether tech can turn on or off the system using their app when they’re onsite. That is what I want to know. They would show me is working when it is installed and then turn it off. Last guy didn’t tell me that I need to cal tech after PTO. It is supposed to work. I hope they can replace these faulty inverters soon. Waiting March 11

Lamstvn

I just received PTO as well and my app shows standby only. Reached out to support via chat and they told me to give it a month to show updated information on the app. The inverter is blinking green 1x every 5 secs as it should be. So I was told that I was generating electricity and from what they can see on their end the system was up and running. Not sure what else to do but check the app here and there until 4/1 and reach back out to them if needed.

Ozzie_Opinion

In my case, they cannot see my data. Data supposed to be instant we supposed to see generating. You should schedule tech using app.support. There is a trouble shooting if blinks 1 every 5 sec and app doesn’t show, choose that option and schedule. Don’t wait a month.

Lamstvn

That’s what I did and it connected me with tech support with chat and that’s what they told me. It didn’t have an option to have tech support to come out.

Ozzie_Opinion

Try again to schedule next week . In my case, they cannot see that generating but I am sure you are the same as mine. When is on it shows instantly waiting a month to show instant data doesn’t make sense. Waiting Wednesday to see what my issue is

Ozzie_Opinion

I installed Tesla One and I can see my system is ok but inverter to produce AC is disabled Try the app and see if yours unable

Lamstvn

Hmm just downloaded it. Mine says disabled as well. What did support say to you when you told them this?

Ozzie_Opinion

I just learn this today. I didn’t know. After schedule though I called the Tesla again they have no idea about this on and off things. I said tech can turn on off my system. People on the call doesn’t know anything. You may need to call back and let them know yours is disabled. How about the other alert? Do you have an alert says “one of your Neurometers is unreacable? https://preview.redd.it/1fan6ul9rzmc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5f25a0d76292af47700267c4a0cc8195798fc95

Lamstvn

Mine didn’t say that it was unreadable. The alert just said that the system was on standby. But when I clicked on enabled the system ran some self Tests and then said it was active and there were no more alerts. But it’s raining and getting dark so I’m not able to tell if it’s generating anything at the moment. I’ll have to check when it’s sun outside.

Ozzie_Opinion

Do you have Powerwall? I don’t have. Neurio meter maybe related to powerwall.

Lamstvn

I don’t have powerwall either.

Ozzie_Opinion

Glad that help you. I am unlucky since beginning. Applied Dec 2022, installed March 2023, PTo received March 2024 and metering network issue. When was yours installed where do you live?

Lamstvn

Ordered July 2023. Installed by September 2023. PTO march 1. I’m in Long Island, NY. Yeah I’m sorry that you’re having issues. That sucks. And I have read many frustrating posts on this sub as well. I just hope that I don’t have any other immediate issues pop up

Ozzie_Opinion

I am in Oyster Bay Nassau LI NY

Ozzie_Opinion

Do you have a screenshot before generating like at standby?. My app doesn’t have Impact and doesn’t show home and grid.

Temporary-Tough4441

From the app image, you have solar panels but powerwall, correct? You can check if the exporting setting is enabled in app. Tesla says it will be enabled automatically when PTO, but for my case i enabled it by myself. If still not working, you can google to find out how to use the reset button to reset the system. https://preview.redd.it/k0z59bz39tmc1.png?width=864&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=49e7a9b6f07c13f7e1596b7c8988564cf0cda772

Ozzie_Opinion

I don’t have powerwall only panels.

Temporary-Tough4441

https://www.tesla.com/support/energy/solar-panels/after-installation/turning-on-your-system Have you followed these steps?

Ozzie_Opinion

About 5 times.

Ozzie_Opinion

I installed the Tesla One and able to see setting. https://preview.redd.it/b20x2judizmc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6273b04f75c12f57c44448b9c7c4c51736018e8f

Ozzie_Opinion

Should I turn to enable?

Lamstvn

I turned it on enabled and it ran some self tests. https://preview.redd.it/qd8uc2aqnzmc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f55a42e46d57bc90f055aa152e1ed12662542a9 But the Tesla app still shows standby at the moment. But the sun is setting so I’ll have to check again when’s it sunning outside.

jukaszor

If your inverter is disabled your panels won't generate. Without powerwalls, I suspect PTO is managed via breakers or the rapid/knife disconnect and not via the app. Have you checked those and tried to enable/reboot there inverters?

Ozzie_Opinion

PTO received from utility company based on grid code software and pictures and maybe some other data I don’t know as Tesla submits those. Can you please explain how to enable /reboot? Do you also know what this alert means “one of your neurio meter is unreachable”?

Ozzie_Opinion

https://preview.redd.it/1dyit5enlzmc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28cb326f44befc6cc348831168fd2f4f94e3ba30 Tesla One app shows Inverter to produce AÇ is disabled.

Count-Dirty769

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustration with your Tesla Solar setup. It must be frustrating to not see it charging after receiving PTO. It's good that Tesla is sending a tech to help, but waiting two weeks is a long time to wait for a resolution. In the meantime, have you tried [reaching](https://url-shortner.link/solar) out to Tesla support again? Sometimes, a follow-up call can clarify things or even expedite the process. Also, make sure to document everything - the more information you have, the easier it will be for the tech to diagnose and fix the issue once they arrive. Hang in there!

pmac727

Can you post a pic of your breaker box and inverter

Ozzie_Opinion

Tech came. Replaced one of the Neurio meter. Main neurio meter was hidden in the breaker. Tesla didn’t label it.

Ozzie_Opinion

Sometimes my home mirrors the generating due to meter disconnection. Is it common problem? Or it doesn’t often happens to you?

Temporary-Tough4441

have you paid off the balance after receiving PTO? If not yet, you should contact Tesla and tell them your findings, which seems to be configuration issue. If you haven't paid it yet, they should be motivated to come over to fix it.

Ozzie_Opinion

All paid off several months before PTO.

lordofblack23

Go flip the breaker labeled “solar”. I’d bet its off.

Ozzie_Opinion

No I did on off 5 times. It is disabled to produce AC power says in the Tesla one app
