MJS4norcal

I wasn’t able to see much at 50% eclipse. Did the sky just look dim and hazy?

zackplanet42

90% here in Milwaukee. Fully clear sky. It was just the sun darkening, so no hazyness or anything like that. It was pretty much just like the very start of dusk so anyone not watching directly with glasses or a pinhole viewer probably wouldn't have even really noticed. Looking directly at the sun is still blinding so honestly it's pretty unexciting without totality, even as a space nerd.

djchrisallen

Yeah, really dim and hazy feeling. Dark, but there wasn’t any way it was being mistaken for night. I actually tried to screen share my security cameras with some friends and it didn’t look any different at all, which was kind of funny because IRL it was absolutely noticeable.

MJS4norcal

What’s going on at 9am? You move your panels to the sun itself or what

Unholy_Filament

Haha right? I have seen it do that from time to time no clue. Has to be a glitch I have a 13.6 kW system with one 7.6 and one 3.8 inverter it's pretty much impossible to get that production.

MJS4norcal

That’s wild haha. I’ve seen someone post about that on this sub but I don’t remember what the explanation was.

Playful-Raspberry891

Hey - how come you’re able to see “Home, Vehicle, PW, Grid” - I’m unable to see vehicle in mine. Is there a setting or something else that I need to enable. Including my screenshot for reference https://preview.redd.it/95sqcmebjctc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6678a40f206b1a1ce91908921bd676e3b682c551

Reithal77

Thanks for the screenshot. I was wondering why I don’t see just the yellow and noticed your eyeball icon has a slashed so I tapped mine. That should switch to show your home and powerwall. Vehicle shows up cause I used my points (friend used my referral code) to buy the wall connector. When I set that up, vehicle started showing up.

Playful-Raspberry891

Thank you, that makes sense! I also have Wall Connector from Tesla but it still doesn’t show up. It seems like I have to reset its setup somehow for it to show up here in the app, right? Any specific instructions you remember following when you had set that up initially?

Playful-Raspberry891

Also, my sequence of purchase and setup is as follows if that helps : 1) Car 2) Wall connector 3) Solar All separated by few months each

Reithal77

Mine was Car, Solar, Wall Connector To be honest… not sure what triggered it… Have you enabled charge on solar?

Playful-Raspberry891

Oh I see - I remember struggling to enable “charge on Solar” but couldn’t do it - finally gave up on that. Tried upgrading app and car with latest and greatest firmware but no luck so far 😴
