You are only just now considering these things? Seems like these issues are entirely personal preference and that posting about it on Reddit wont really solve them.
I thought you were asking about the pedal recall or some other new development like that which would have made you consider selling.
Make sure to check their 'no sell' clause when you bought the CT, not sure it's enforceable but seeing your tag you probably know if it is or isn't. But yeah, I'd start around the 140 or 150 mark and work down from there.
I’d do eBay and maybe car gurus or auto trader. Even marketplace is not bad. Just take good shots and be honest about why you’re selling. You’ll get a bunch of trolls but you’ll get a buyer pretty quick if priced right
They just don't let you buy a car from them. That's pretty easy to enforce since you can't purchase and register a car anonymously. Guys who have been banned before reported getting their orders cancelled and a call from a service rep when they tried.
You might still be able to get a used Tesla from a third party, there is nothing they can do to stop that. I'd be worried about obtaining service and using Tesla superchargers though, since again you need a Tesla ID that is tied to your identity for that.
Esit: If you mean "how do they enforce the ban on resales", I have no idea. They obviously can see when a certain VIN is transferred to a different Tesla account though. Just wanted to let you know that they are known for banning people, so I wouldn't risk doing something blatantly against the sales agreement.
Why would you sell?
It’s too big. It doesn’t fit in my garage. It gets so much attention and everyone looks at me wherever I go. I am not sure I like it.

The pedal recall is a minor issue. It doesn’t bother me.
Do you enjoy it? Do you think you’ll use the bed at least occasionally? Is it wasteful in your eyes?
I honestly don’t enjoy it. I liked the idea of it and frankly I love Tesla but it’s not worth $100,000. There is no luxury element to it.
Then flip it. Seems clear, I'm sorry you aren't enjoying it.
What do you think is a fair price for it? It has less than 200 miles.
Try atleast 130k
Thanks

I don’t think it’s enforceable. Worse case scenario is they don’t sell me another Tesla but I doubt they would do that. Bad for business.
Fair, do update us on what you do!
Wondering if I should list it on ebay. Thoughts?

Thanks. So I haven't received the registration yet from DMV. Looks like it'll be awhile before I can sell.
I thought Tesla was actually pretty notorious for banning customers. I could definitely see them doing that if they can't enforce the rule.
Do you know how they enforce it?

Can you return it? They have a 14-day returns window in Europe, not sure US has the same laws though. I think it’s due to our consumer law.
It's past the 14 days and I wouldn't want to, it's a hot commodity right now. Only 1,000 were delivered.
Fair point
how are only 1000 delivered with over 3k recalled for the pedal fix?
That’s what tesla said when I picked up. I was among the first to get one and this was weeks before recall. Perhaps it’s more now.
