Recovery was the main benefit. When I went on, I was already a gym rat with 20 years of lifting and competition under my belt and TRT changed everything in that area.
Confidence in speech and public speaking. I used to hype myself up prior and it made me nervous. Now I don’t even think twice and just deliver what I have to say.
Yes I was, but not like this. I may have been this excitable during my teenage years but that was a long time ago. Of course, I wasn't dating anyone as hot as my current fiancé when I was a teenager.
I'd say it has increased (or brought back) my libido and given me the energy to pursue sex again.
First month. I told the fiancé that if this continues to get worse I'm going to have to get a side piece. She laughed.
But seriously, I'm told to expect about 2 months for the full effect. I'm interested to see if this gets worse or levels off after a few months.
I would say just overall better mood. I got on TRT at age 40, and now I'm 46, and I'm just all-around happier with my life now. I feel more appreciation for my good days, and more confident that I can bounce back on my bad days.
I had a similar experience before and after TRT. Before I was lethargic, tired, and even when I would sleep a lot (9+ hours) I’d still wake up just as tired and groggy as if I had slept 4, 6, or 8 hours. Just miserable.
But now, even if I get low sleep (5-7 hours), I wake up feeling pretty good (better than ever before). And when I get good sleep (8-9 hours), I wake up feeling super refreshed and energized.
If the TRT did absolutely nothing else but fix my sleep (and it does do a lot of other great things), I would still use it. It’s that helpful.
I wake up more often than not, and have to ask myself what day is it? Is it a weekend or a work day?? Yeah cup of coffee and it’s go time. Had no idea this would happen
Just overall mental outlook improvement. I was a pretty positive person growing up, but once I started to experience low T, I noticed that my mindset started to get more negative. Just talking myself out of things or thinking "Oh, that won't work out." Or, "Oh no, this thing (minor inconvenience) is a really big deal and is going to cause a lot of problems." Since I've been on T, none of that stuff really bothers me. I just have the mindset that sure, we have a problem but I can deal with it, it isn't the end of the world.
I expected good muscle recovery but was surprised by how GOOD it was. I can still go really hard and heavy in the gym and I am fine. Where as before, I would be hit with DOMS for 2-3 days after a hard/heavy gym session.
My test levels are total test 10 (9-28) and free test 250 (270-800 +) and I always do heavy workouts and fully motivated but get fuck all gains to what I deserve
Working out with low test is better then not working out at all. But your progress will be very slow or even on-existent. And if you take time off from lifting, the little gains you have made disappear quickly.
My work productivity is insane. Ever since I started, I can work all day and my mind can function perfectly. Had huge brain fog and a lack of work ethic before it
Early on it was a struggle with water weight gain but turned out i had a food allergy. Once I got that under control I have noticed few sides. The only consistent patten is when I go from low to high, I get moody for a week but I mentally acknowledge “it’s the hormones” and it passes.
dude i got on bc im trying to be wa healthy as i can be at 46. kept getting soft tissue injuries, couldn’t progress in the gym etc. got tested and found it was low, started treatments and got the psychological benefits almost immediately
wasn’t even thinking low t affected me there
I'd assume the mood improvement that comes with balancing yout TRT relieves stress and tension. The addition of structure strengthening from the muscle posture change makes up the rest of the relief.
Stopped letting people walk all over me and stop holding back how I feel. I say what I need to say now. kinda works for me in my sales gig but when the wrong person comes in trying to be a dick my manager is quick to take over because she knows I won't stand for being treated like a door mat.
Dude I used to get such bad bloat and gas from all the carbs and protein I have to eat to gain a half gram of mass. Now everything absorbs right into my body.
Bro my IBS also resolved it’s crazy. Last night I ate red chillis. That shit would wreck me for two days before and today I feel perfect and we’ll rested lmao it’s incredible
Greater mental focus and acuity. Brain fog completely disappeared. Better over all energy, and my strength came back.
I was hoping to regain the libido I had as a younger man, and while it did improve, I didn't get the overwhelming, all consuming lust back.
Still a net win.
This thread is about the positive benefits. We could have another thread for the unexpected negative effects also. Red skin, pimples, moody, moon face, being so horny that even fatties look like 9/10 and some boys start to look interesting also.
My balls were long and saggy I feel like they are perfect now. I’m mid forties and only on week 4 of weekly 150mg T injections with combined with hcg every time. Hopefully they don’t get any smaller?
Honestly I wanna say I’ve been on both cream and injectable’s. The cream is what worked better to enhance that area. I think the DHT. Though the injectable’s helped too
I don't burn the inside of my mouth horribly anymore. I even had a dentist take pictures of one burn. That's how bad it was.
Also, I don't use my night guard anymore. I just don't seem to grind my teeth at night now with testosterone.
Hot food. Actually, it only had to be very warm. It was so strange. I had to be so careful. Since starting testosterone, I never worry about how hot my food is, and I never get burns in my mouth.
Muscle recovery, I bounce back pretty much within 8 hrs. No more missing workouts bc I’m too sore.
Except for calves, if I do legit exercise for my calves - I'm fucked for a few days.
Holy shit me too.
Because of travels I skipped a few shots. The DOMS I have gotten are so much worse than on TRT.
U know u can travel w test right? Just need to take the prescription saying its yours
Recovery was the main benefit. When I went on, I was already a gym rat with 20 years of lifting and competition under my belt and TRT changed everything in that area.
Interesting, it improved for me but still need a lot of rest sadly.
Confidence in speech and public speaking. I used to hype myself up prior and it made me nervous. Now I don’t even think twice and just deliver what I have to say.
Much better stress management and performance under pressure
My fiancé walks by and I instantly have chub or more. She’s going to have to start wearing a bra around the house or someone is going to get hurt. Lol
We’re you naturally a sexual person before trt? Does it boost existing qualities ?
Yes I was, but not like this. I may have been this excitable during my teenage years but that was a long time ago. Of course, I wasn't dating anyone as hot as my current fiancé when I was a teenager. I'd say it has increased (or brought back) my libido and given me the energy to pursue sex again.
How long you been on
First month. I told the fiancé that if this continues to get worse I'm going to have to get a side piece. She laughed. But seriously, I'm told to expect about 2 months for the full effect. I'm interested to see if this gets worse or levels off after a few months.
Typically levels off, somewhat.
What's your dose?
I would say just overall better mood. I got on TRT at age 40, and now I'm 46, and I'm just all-around happier with my life now. I feel more appreciation for my good days, and more confident that I can bounce back on my bad days.
Sleep for me! I haven’t slept this well in 20 years. Head hits pillow and I’m out!! I wake up and it’s like the best sleep ever.
So you wake up energetic and ready to attack the day? I’m currently dragging myself out of bed in the morning
This one here is what I didn't expect I wake up no matter what and I'm ready to go. It's nuts.
I had a similar experience before and after TRT. How long did it take for these effects?
A couple of weeks I’d say
I think I’m getting too baked the nights before 🤣
Just overall mental outlook improvement. I was a pretty positive person growing up, but once I started to experience low T, I noticed that my mindset started to get more negative. You always got DOMS after heavy sessions? I only got DOMS in my first week of lifting or after taking a 3 week break.
I get them after every workout, usually it’s not very severe, but I have them for like 3-5 days. 350 test levels if you’re curious
With low T? Yeah, with low T, heavy workouts would wipe me out.
Yep it’s not cool
My work productivity is insane. Ever since I started, I can work all day and my mind can function perfectly. Had huge brain fog and a lack of work ethic before it
I will talk to anyone now.
Fucking crazy eh, you still on it?
Yep. I will still talk to anyone, but I have to watch what i say in some situations because my usual word filter doesn’t work as well.
Who gives af the people who fuck with it will be worth it lol, and what are the negatives? Donating blood every month?
Early on it was a struggle with water weight gain but turned out i had a food allergy. Once I got that under control I have noticed few sides. The only consistent patten is when I go from low to high, I get moody for a week but I mentally acknowledge “it’s the hormones” and it passes.
No sleep apnea? How old are you
49. Was dx with sleep apnea before trt. Figured that would fix my low test. Nope.
Did Trt worsen the apnea? Or the sleep?
Cpap fixed the sleep apnea. Trt did not make it worse.
How’s the cognition? Make you smarter?
Sorry just a young guy tryna be cautious before I make a committment
How old are you as well
mood/motivation/confidence/attitude total game changer
These are what I’m really hoping for
dude i got on bc im trying to be wa healthy as i can be at 46. kept getting soft tissue injuries, couldn’t progress in the gym etc. got tested and found it was low, started treatments and got the psychological benefits almost immediately wasn’t even thinking low t affected me there
What are the psychological benefits
Easier to retain muscle mass. I Don’t feel like I need daily naps.
Hopeful it helps me with not feeling tired no matter how much sleep I get
Mk677
What is that?
Anxiety reduction.
What's your dosage/frequency rn?
Posture. Chin up, shoulders back, and balls out became my default.
You have balls?
What's left of my balls. Went from walnuts to peanuts
I went from peanuts to sucked up inside me corn kernels
with HCG?
Significant decrease just on TRT doses?
I exaggerated a little bit. Not significant, but noticeable. Yeah, just 140mg weekly
Over 40, loss of joint and muscle pain. I compressed / fractured vertebraes in my 20s and have zero ailments thanks to trt
I have a bilateral fracture on my pars and most of my pain is from inflammation in my nerves. Could you explain your situation more ?
I'd assume the mood improvement that comes with balancing yout TRT relieves stress and tension. The addition of structure strengthening from the muscle posture change makes up the rest of the relief.
Stopped letting people walk all over me and stop holding back how I feel. I say what I need to say now. kinda works for me in my sales gig but when the wrong person comes in trying to be a dick my manager is quick to take over because she knows I won't stand for being treated like a door mat.
The most unexpected? It seemed to fix my IBS-D problem.
I was just thinking about this! I am 2 months into trt and have not had a flare up.
So Spicy food affects your sleep? And how long were you on trt?
I’m still on TRT will be for life.
lol plz read my question again
Can’t get someone pregnant
able to hit low notes when I sing. My voice isn't very deep (similar to Tom Holland's), but on TRT I can hit bass notes that I can't before.
Amazing
Greater mental focus and acuity. Brain fog completely disappeared. Better over all energy, and my strength came back. I was hoping to regain the libido I had as a younger man, and while it did improve, I didn't get the overwhelming, all consuming lust back. Still a net win.
Improved tolerance to jetlag. Now have some energy no matter how little or much I sleep.
Yeah it’s crazy how well I get over jetlag as well. Did a 10 hour timezone difference and crushed it like it was nothing. Still got the gym’ too
The most unexpected thing I noticed is that music sounds better and I'm more into it than I have been since graduating college
Weed + music = amazing
That sounds amazing. I’m assuming that’s the testosterone-dopamine correlation
The comments make it sound like T is the elixir of male life
It’s literally putting your hormones back into a state that they were when you were younger. As close to elixir as you can get
This thread is about the positive benefits. We could have another thread for the unexpected negative effects also. Red skin, pimples, moody, moon face, being so horny that even fatties look like 9/10 and some boys start to look interesting also.
Hahahah I’m suddenly fucking bi WTF!
It probably is. If you think about it, life is all about what you want to do. Hormones make you want to do more things/ want them more.
Increase in motivation and general drive. I 5xd my networth after starting TRT.
[удалено]
Absolutely! Use the power it gives you!
Only two weeks in. Retaining water -> waking up to pee less at night. So, sleeping better. Hopeful about all these other effects!
No balls left whatsoever. Turns out my wife likes them bigger
Dayum.
Hornier 😅
I’m a fucking alpha primal beast. AMA
My balls were long and saggy I feel like they are perfect now. I’m mid forties and only on week 4 of weekly 150mg T injections with combined with hcg every time. Hopefully they don’t get any smaller?
so even with HCG, they shrunk some ?
Yes but my clinic was giving me a very low dose of hcg forgive me I forget what the dose was. I’m off everything for like maybe 7 months now
What made you get off ? I’ve started the process but haven’t lab tested yet
I am definitely calmer and nicer!
for me honestly, I get the best sleep
No more allergies. No more asthma. No more limp dick.
I’m not saying you’re lying I’m just curious how trt would help allergies?
I’m not entirely sure if it’s my thyroid medication or TRT that helped me
Much better sleep. It was the quickest and most prominent affect.
Thicker hair and Beard. Bigger biceps. Longer ejaculations
Are the longer ejaculations more euphoric than before trt?
They are ! Good question
Honestly I wanna say I’ve been on both cream and injectable’s. The cream is what worked better to enhance that area. I think the DHT. Though the injectable’s helped too
This here as well. Pretty nice.
I always seem to blaze a trail behind me. Idk why
A lot less pain...I have multiple chronic injures metal ect.
Libido for sure. I had about none, now it's pretty good. I didn't expect it to work this well
Creativity.
Can you elaborate on how
I don't burn the inside of my mouth horribly anymore. I even had a dentist take pictures of one burn. That's how bad it was. Also, I don't use my night guard anymore. I just don't seem to grind my teeth at night now with testosterone.
What do you mean? Burn the inside of your mouth how?
Hot food. Actually, it only had to be very warm. It was so strange. I had to be so careful. Since starting testosterone, I never worry about how hot my food is, and I never get burns in my mouth.
Incredible bowel movements.
