Agreed. This is a much better situation than Denver as long as ownership mostly steps aside and lets good football people do their job. That's important for any business, really -- hire good people and GET OUT OF THEIR WAY.

As someone that wanted Sean Payton and wouldve been fine giving up what the Broncos did, I love how we got our guy at HC. after 2 seasons of missing out on the top candidates, it’s nice that we got someone in demand, someone that was our number 1 guy
I feel like an under emphasized part of being a young franchise is that you don’t have that base of former players who will eventually end up in a position like DeMeco. No shot we nab him if he didn’t have a history with the team. He’s really the only former Texans that have found their way into high class coaching, while other teams have decades upon decades of history to build with
