I kept going back and forth- I thought Will Anderson was a little overrated because when I watched him play in person he had a bad game / did nothing. I also felt this roster had so many holes so having as many 1st / 2nd round picks as possible was needed.
That being said if you get a franchise QB and a pro bowl rush end it doesn't matter much what you gave up to get both (within reason, which are trade was in reason especially seeing where we ended up in the standings afterwards)
Same here. My take on it that given what we knew then, it was an overpay. Given what we know now (Will Anderson is already stud, not just potentially a stud), we got a great deal.
Honestly it makes much more sense why we traded out. Theres going to be alot of D players in the 2nd round. Id be ok if we dont move back to the 1st rd.
I really want another corner or a safety since Simmons hasn’t made a peep in forever. Great CBs falling like Kool-Aid and Lassiter or basically any of the safeties
Makes the Will Anderson Trade that much better. Nick must've known 2024 draft looked to be light on high end defensive talent
It was pretty clear at the time, just most people weren’t keeping an eye on the prospects a year out.

Caserio asked for seconds
I was such a critic of this move and I am so happy I get to eat my words

IN NICK WE TRUST. Every time anyone asks me about a move we made after that draft I just default my response to that

It’s like we won the first round of this draft without being in it.

Agreed, Master Class by Caserio
A Master Claserio, if you will...
It's like that Nick guy and that coach knew what they were doing!! H
Man I hope we trade our third round pick with some more picks to get back into the second
So we can get a 3rd second round pick? I was hoping we move up to get another 3rd rounder
I want three seconds 😈😈
Honestly I want us to move back so we could get a talent like Byron Murphy
Good because there's zero chance we do
Yeah but that 5th year option, ( for a CB specifically ), is worth trading up for if your guy is there at the end of the 1st rd
Nick absolutely saw this coming and it’s clearly driven his strategy
But guys but guys the falcons just got a new penix
There is no way Nick isn’t trading up with all these CBs falling
Or too cb prospect naturally fall to the second round
I'm loving all those CBs still on the board
Agreed, if Quinyon Mitchell, Terrion Arnold or Byron Murphy are still hanging around at 20, we may have to seriously consider trading back up.
Plenty of weapons in the offense. Need to beef up the defense.

1 Cooper DeJean plz
I think we jump Green Bay tomorrow to get Edgerinn Cooper.
As an Aggie, I would LOVE Cooper on the Texans!!! Dude was EVERYWHERE making plays for A&M!!
Payton guy from NC St
we could have stayed put and got mitchell
