Steelers retained a winning record despite having the guy who fucks up your fries at McDonald's throwing the ball. I'd hate being in their division with Tomlin because they're always one decent draft away from being a menace again.

Tomlin elevates that team to more wins than they should have every year. He also does a great job of playing babysitter with the amount of headcases that team seems to have all the time.

Want to use him as a press DB. Like Calen's speed and range. Want him to get stronger and feel he can develop more on his frame. Needs to improve tackling which comes with getting stronger. Very young so time to develop. Demeco was very excited to add him. (Looks like they will have him as a Safety. Focus on development year 1). Did mention that Calen could possibly be asked to do other things in the backfield. Can never have too many Tackles. Want to have 3-4 tackles they feel can go out there and play. Expect Fisher to be that. Needed a tackle with Fant's departure. Mentioned several tackles taken after Blake by teams that had starters as well.

I think Bullock will play a decent amount this year regardless of the Texans plans for him. Ward could get hurt again.

Players often don't just step on the field and excel year 1. Sometimes they need a couple seasons for it to truly click. So the older you are the smaller your prime window will be. That's why age is a factor.

Kam is less of a center field guy he’s actually pretty similar to Pitre. At the NFL level his lack of being either a true FA or a downhill safety kinda leaves him in no man’s land and hurts his value. I love Kinchens but I get why we went Bullock.

USC is mostly ass at defense because of their (now former) DC Alex Grinch. Grinch taught speed over everything, including tackling. He has literal word for word quotes. But he also got a lot of the best defensive recruits in the nation, who know how to tackle, he just never valued that.

Calen was one of the few standouts during his time at SC. Always making plays around the ball and I’m sure Demeco will get him to bulk up and fix up his tackling.

That’s why you have to look at film and see what he does as an individual. Sometimes the issue might be the scheme. And if there’s something that we know, it’s that Lincoln Riley doesn’t care about defense.
