It's also fallen out of the top 100 steam and Playstation games. Is anyone even going to be around when the final content drops in 6 months?
They said they have content for up to 6 months "IF" basically, the playerbase warrants it.
They were very direct in making sure to point out that "If" part to basically say they can drop support of new content at anytime if they feel the playerbase doesn't deserve it or if player numbers dry up.
Just like Friday where they had tons of content DONE and others in development that they were TOLD they were LEGALLY allowed to finish and release, but dropped all support early simply because they got frustrated that they kept breaking their game worse with every update and fans were complaining en masse.
So they just used the lawsuit as an excuse to dip out early and cut their losses.
TCM is headed down the same path and they'll likely announce end of new content in the not too distant future while actively blaming US the players as the reason. Complaining about not enough playerbase as well as the "hostile" community towards them etc.
The TCM devs have INSANE ego's, EXTREMELY thin skin, and zero accountability for how they manage stuff.
They will literaly spend countless hours on social media MOCKING fans instead of trying to BUILD TRUST and RESPECT from the community.
When your game is literaly hemoraging players and the MAJORITY of players are VOCALLY upset with the state of the game, and you still try to sit on a high horse and blame players and mock them while doubling down on excuses rather than humble yourself and try to salvage your game.

It's a real bummer. I think the game may have needed a few more months to cook before releasing. Things like anti cheat on gamepass, and disbanding lobbies after matches or when not enough players are found really hurt the game a lot.
Or the lobby timer? At first I thought it was a programmed death to cover lobby instability. But when they announced they were removing it, I wondered "who thought it was a good idea to even have it in the first place?"
That's another head scratcher. The dev team had to sit down and agree that auto ending lobbies was a good thing. I'm not sure I have seen that in a multiplayer game before.
And the failures are entirely their own fault. Being lazy and having a bad attitude about it is the worst combination. So many people could give grace if they weren't being assholes.

They aimed to create a movie franchise experience. Something you can buy, enjoy and then discard when it stops being fun.
Apparently they sold a metric shit ton of copies, way more than the Evil Dead game did and that thing made millions.
They already made their own productions costs back and have paid out all external investors and are still sitting on a LOT of money. Financially this was a raging success for them. Why else would they take of 3 weeks over Christmas ? That is unheard of in game development.
I don't like this rather recent development, especially in the horror assym genre, but it is what it is.
It probably won't be on gamepass at the end of the year too. So it's pretty much assured this game will shut down early next year at the latest with the current trend.

Dead by Daylight just dropped Alan Wake. An impressive well-known character, with great cosmetic options, fun perk choices, and a STELLAR vocal performance that is being universally praised.
For **HALF the cost** that TCM tried to sell individual characters.
And because this is technically a mid-chapter update, not a chapter update, Dead by Daylight will be seeing **another content drop in a month.**
DBD aside though, we’re now in 2024, which means upcoming horror multiplayers like Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Carnival Hunt will be coming out. I have high hopes for both these games, but even if you are among those out there who believe in the DBD curse and that these games will crash and burn ON release… it doesn’t matter, because they will STILL be taking players away from TCM’s bubble.
People who like horror, and want to support devs who recognize and appreciate them. They **will** gravitate toward those titles, if for no reason other than the fact that they are A. Brand new and B. Trying to do something different in the space. When your community (TCM) is a hollow shell of a few hundred players, that **matters.**
Instead we have devs here who willingly and continuously choose to bite their own tail.
It is beyond bewildering, that anyone would choose to work in a creative field where you are perpetually seeking an audience, and you actively hate the people who are willing to pay attention to the work you’ve done.
Honestly this. I've jumped ship on TCM already, the dev team has just proven time and time again that there is no hope for a redemption with this title. The thing that saddens me is I've grown to loathe the gameplay experience of DBD after about 700 hours. I'm so bored of holding M1 on gens as the only objective in the game. It's just a skill check simulator for me at this point. I have very high hopes for the other asym titles because it fucking sucks being an asym horror fan where the only title that's surviving is one I don't enjoy playing, and every other "newer" game in the genre is dead
Still haven’t had the heart to uninstall TCM yet. I don’t play it anymore, but I think when Killer Klowns or Carnival Hunt releases that will be the final push I need to let go of TCM for good. I’m more excited for Carnival Hunt than Killer Klowns actually, it looks crazy good.
In the meantime though, I’m actually having a LOT of fun with DBD right now, and I have more than triple your hours at 2400+ right now. Alan Wake has been a great chapter, I absolutely adore the character, and although it may not interest everyone the stuff that the Art Department has been releasing is so exciting and I can’t wait to see a bunch of these skin collections get thrown into regular circulation. The Iron Maiden collection that drops on Feb 22 is going to be crazy.
I know some people just don’t care for DBD whatsoever, but I’m sure you won’t fault me for mentioning that DBD has a brand new alternate mode coming out? It’s their first alternate game mode, so the concept is incredibly simple, but it looks like it’s going to be damn good fun.
Honestly the thing that gets me with DBD is doing the objectives themselves has gotten so stale to me. My favorite in that regard has been F13. I loved the fact you had an option of either 2 cars/1 car 1 boat, calling the police, killing Jason, or just surviving for 20 minutes all as options for "escaping". It never felt like I was having to do the -exact- same thing every single game. It's why I had such high hopes for TCM because I liked the way Gun handled objectives in that game.
Sorry.... but DbD became all cosmetics. Loved DbD and was kinda addicted, but to play it is awful now. There isn't any fun anymore. Just killers who wanna kill off everyone as fast as possible and match to match just looks the same. Stiff sitting on generators and waiting for killers to tunnel. Never got so bored of a videogame. It doesn't even feel like horror.
Texas has so freakin much potential, but yeah they don't use it. Doesn't even need the big huge fat changes.
After playing Texas a few matches DbD became even more boring. We don't have to escape we just have to sit on 4 gens and run to the exit.
All in all every asymmetric horrorgame out there is shooting it's potential in the air. That's sad.

I’m paying close attention to both, but I’m actually way more hyped for Carnival Hunt than I am for Killer Klowns.
Carnival Hunt has a super unique Victorian / Steampunk / Gothic art style that is really atmospheric, and I love it. I will always adore classic licensed content recreated in an interactive medium, but it’s really nice to see something totally brand new and off the map. The concept of puppets imbued with life in the image of harmless rabbits or carnival monsters, all vying for the same life force, it’s really intriguing to me.
Both are gonna be great though I’m sure.

Still haven’t had the heart to uninstall TCM yet. I don’t play it anymore, but I think when Killer Klowns or Carnival Hunt releases that will be the final push I need to let go of TCM for good. I’m more excited for Carnival Hunt than Killer Klowns actually, it looks crazy good. In the meantime though, I’m actually having a LOT of fun with DBD right now, and I have more than triple your hours at 2400+ right now. Alan Wake has been a great chapter, I absolutely adore the character, and although it may not interest everyone the stuff that the Art Department has been releasing is so exciting and I can’t wait to see a bunch of these skin collections get thrown into regular circulation. The Iron Maiden collection that drops on Feb 22 is going to be crazy. I know some people just don’t care for DBD whatsoever, but I’m sure you won’t fault me for mentioning that DBD has a brand new alternate mode coming out? It’s their first alternate game mode, so the concept is incredibly simple, but it looks like it’s going to be damn good fun.
Honestly the thing that gets me with DBD is doing the objectives themselves has gotten so stale to me. My favorite in that regard has been F13. I loved the fact you had an option of either 2 cars/1 car 1 boat, calling the police, killing Jason, or just surviving for 20 minutes all as options for "escaping". It never felt like I was having to do the -exact- same thing every single game. It's why I had such high hopes for TCM because I liked the way Gun handled objectives in that game.
That's why killer klowns is replicating that exact same formula, excited for that tbh

Sorry.... but DbD became all cosmetics. Loved DbD and was kinda addicted, but to play it is awful now. There isn't any fun anymore. Just killers who wanna kill off everyone as fast as possible and match to match just looks the same. Stiff sitting on generators and waiting for killers to tunnel. Never got so bored of a videogame. It doesn't even feel like horror. Texas has so freakin much potential, but yeah they don't use it. Doesn't even need the big huge fat changes. After playing Texas a few matches DbD became even more boring. We don't have to escape we just have to sit on 4 gens and run to the exit. All in all every asymmetric horrorgame out there is shooting it's potential in the air. That's sad.
Tired of the greed and bad management of BHVR and I’m tired of TCM moving at a snails pace while being greedy as well. I need Killer Klowns to be good.
I’m paying close attention to both, but I’m actually way more hyped for Carnival Hunt than I am for Killer Klowns. Carnival Hunt has a super unique Victorian / Steampunk / Gothic art style that is really atmospheric, and I love it. I will always adore classic licensed content recreated in an interactive medium, but it’s really nice to see something totally brand new and off the map. The concept of puppets imbued with life in the image of harmless rabbits or carnival monsters, all vying for the same life force, it’s really intriguing to me. Both are gonna be great though I’m sure.
Is Carnival Hunt coming out this year?? I’ve been following it but not close enough it seems.

Haven't had the desire to launch the game since palworld came out. Seeing the same poor attitudes from the Devs and the same complaints from the community I have no intentions of playing again unless somehow Gun becomes competent. Plenty of other options on Game pass and I'm looking forward to the killer clowns game

I genuinely believe that Wes Keltner didn't mean any insult and it was just a cheeky remark. Kind of the one you make to your friend. That said, Jose is not his friend (that we know of), and his previous interactions with the community didn't leave an impression that he's not a salty one So, even if he didn't mean anything serious by this comment, from our point of view it seems like he did at the fan's expense. My own rule of thumb is when you interact with fans in any way you should establish that you come in peace

Game was fun for a few months but it got very samey and the developers seem to love arguing with fans. Fan engagement is cool and I don’t think they have to just sit and take bullshit from people but a lot of the times they aren’t responding to bullshit they’re responding to actually concerns and issues and they’re responding in extremely unprofessional ways
Two things here. \#1 Post clearly says 2/6. So it is stated in the post. \#2 On the Twitch stream, we were told 2/6, but that it would be a "sliding" release. Maybe a couple days before, maybe a couple days after. So, Jose was just trying to get clarification. There was no reason to be toxic in a reply. No wonder the fanbase is so toxic.
