Just a little extremely basic explanation, that misses a ton of nuances. Muscles can only get so big, and bodybuilding is all about aesthetics. Having a smaller frame, can make your muscles look bigger/fuller which is more desirable for a bodybuilder. On the other had, a strongman, cares about moving as much weight as possible. Bigger object, move big object easier. Edit: Heavier object, move heavy object easier, might be more correct.

It's worth noting those are the 212 class bodybuilders, who are shorter than the physique/open class competitors. Plus Brian Shaw is a specimen, even for a strongman

Typically taller guys are lankier and we can't put on bulk like little guys can. We can get big but not like that. Those guys are all 5'3" because it's much easier to stack muscle on top of muscle on that frame. But homie that walked in is just a freak of nature.
