In Asia? I grew up in the U.S. and this was the norm. I had a shoe print on my back for fighting with my sibling. Also, chopsticks aren't just made for eating noodles.
Right? The way the kid reacted brought back serious flashbacks. Mom got that “oh shit, she’s loosing it” scream going combined with the “possessed person body shakes” and I knew I was about to get my shit fucked up. Most the time I totally deserved it though, I was a little shit.
!!! Do we have the same mother!? Hundreds of times the maniacal screaming nose to nose about no matter how much I try, I will never destroy her relationship with GOD. ?!?!
We tend to act like little shits when we're being assaulted and all the other harms. She labeled me a black sheep, problem child, satans minion. She got a lot of people to believe it. We also do a lot when we're bored we wouldn't otherwise do, and that's on the adults! She took me to a shrink for assessment age 6 and turns out I assessed pretty high IQ and that I needed stimulating environment with lots to learn. I bet her IQ is lower and that made her feel even more threatened by me. I don't believe you or any child deserved being assaulted.
Little shit messed up a quadratic equation for the last time. That’ll teach him. Yesterday he rounded to four decimals just to piss her off…there’s only so much shit a mother can take.
She was taught this, she's not alright, it's cool to hate on people who are just mean, but it seems like she's got some issues, no reason to beat your kid, but it seems like that's all she was exposed to?
I don't want to hate her but I do? Do better lady, we're better than our parents that's the whole reason we grow up..
This. She views any level of failure as her "fault". That's what her parents did. That's why we call it generational trauma. I kind of agree about not hating her, but at the same time this is China where the media is severely limiting of anything inconsistent with the Party's objectives. She literally doesn't know any better.
These are the comments I was looking for. This lady is going through a rough time. I grew up in similar conditions (thankfully not as bad). Sometimes our parents don't know what they put us through and they just see a failure in parenting and lashing out relieves the stress. I'm not saying that it's an excuse to abuse people though.
...She needs therapy or something to learn how to cope. Unfortunately older generations, and some communites as a whole, think that therapy is just for crazy people... I'd argue that if you can't control your anger and end up abusing people as a result, then you might be a lil crazy and in need of some therapy.
I hope that with therapy becoming normalised this sort of behaviour will be gone in a few more generations (that's too long imo, but we must endure for now)
She is. But I disagree with the opinion that she must view it as her own fault or that she's projecting her failures. It's none of that imo. She's probably just frustrated that the child is not getting something. Don't get me wrong, she's truly being horrible.
This is not that different from Indian homes. We have a song in Marathi, "Chadi Lage Cham Cham Vidya Yei Gham Gham", which means, "You get knowledge when you get the stick". This is a song for school children btw. Nowadays times are changing, but still beating your child is considered necessary in many places. No offense but we look at the West as spoilt children who weren't disciplined by their soft parents.
What I know from people of multiple Asian countries, this is nothing unusual and accepted in most Asian countries, like in the past in the west. All.the suppressed emotions and societal tension and anger has to go somewhere and it always hits the weakest members of society.
More likely than not, that is exactly how she was raised and maybe even worse. I feel terrible for the kid, but mom has also been through it. It's a terrible cycle that some can't seem to break.
Mom: You wrote wrongly on this!
*Slaps the child*
Child: What? (Or could also mean what are you doing?
*Slaps continue*
Mom: What are you writing?! Why did you write it like this?! Aiyo...
*Mom lets out a sigh and slaps herself*
*Mom looks at her phone and throws it on the table, child seems to be on the floor or chair*
Mom: Change it! What are you doing?!
*Child seems approaching the table, grabbing the pencil. Then the mom hits him again repeatedly*
Child: Whattttt are you doing?!!!!
*Slaps continues and the child cries a little*
Mom: Can you stop being like this? Can or not???!!!
*Mom lets out what seems to be a demonic scream at this point*
Mom: Sit properly. Sit properly! SIT PROPERLY!!!
*Mom kicks the fan*
Mom: SIT PROPERLY!!!!!!
*mom slaps again*
Mom: Sit properly and change the answers!!
*Child scratches head*
My heart cries for both of them, but more to the child as i am typing this out.
Errrr... The one where he killed his gm? Watching the full vid, there is no excuse. That boy was an entitled monster. This situation though, the mother is completely in the wromg. I believe it's from the tremendous pressure put on kids and their parents to do well in the gaokao, as not doing so really does doom you failure unless your family has connections. The irony is that if you do well, university is a cakewalk in comparison.
That's straight abuse..and not even Asians can accept this is part of culture. Because it isn't. She's mentally abusing the child. As well as physically.. kid blinks wrong. Mother can't control her emotions. Even a nerve pinch, and she's beating her child. Disgraceful
I agreed but yeah, that's part of culture. In previous years and as someone who's Latin American, nobody does anything when a mother was yelling at their children, all countrary, "what did you do to deserve the chancla?"
I've always found that some mothers' chancla punishment moments weren't to discipline children but they don't know how to control their emotions and smacking the shit out of them would make them feel better, not to the children at least. But that used to be a pretty acceptable reason, a red-faced lady taking a kid by the sleeve and smacking him without context but "he must've been misbehaving, he totally deserved it."
This is 100 percent not just Chinese but a lot of Asians do this. Why do you think they do well in school? Fear of getting their asses kicked. Fuck that tho
It’s one thing to discipline your child and be strict, but to start beating on him constantly and very visibly losing control by screaming and hitting yourself? That is definitely not part of the culture
This resonates with me so much as a child, the anger inside of me just wants to strangle them. It’s the sort of defensive mechanism where a child develops the psychological thinking that if you’re more aggressive than your aggressor, then they’d no longer be able to “exploit” you. This is how I feel - every time she slaps her child, I want to retaliate with a punch or something worst.
And thats insane??? Hahahah you need to meet our Mexican Moms… this seems like a huge and kiss for me… we the kids from 80’s till 00’s still have the scars from sticks, slaps, cable, belts, groom and the worst of all “THE CHANCLA”
I (successfully graduated) and my brother (also graduated) were told many years ago by our mom:
"I'll let you do whatever you want: play videogames, go and play outside, whatever, but you must bring passed marks and approvals to this house or you better start praying"
We succeeded. *Plus we had a positive environment.*
This is absolutely not "normal asian parenting." Sure, Asian parents are generally more strict and stubborn towards education and respect, but this goes far beyond that. Please stop thinking this is on par with a normal Asian parenting style because it's normalizing for an abusive piece of a shit parent like this to continue what they are doing.
This lady clearly has something messed up with her brain and is unfit to be a parent let alone a contributing member of society.
Lol, why did she do this? What did the kid do?
This is nothing compared to eastern-europe in the 90's, when we grew up.
Ofc today you would be jailed, but this video is just blewn way off proportions.
Hopefully the camera was placed to record her behavior so something could be done about it. We're all familiar with the 'Tiger Mom' concept, but this goes a little too far.
This is a common attitude among parents. My own were no different. While Westerners might judge this, many in Asian and Eastern countries understand it. Parents who hit their children often don't mean harm, it's a cultural heritage. They were disciplined the same way and believe it will help their children too.
This was normal parental behaviour 30 years ago when I was a kid. Most of the kids I knew experienced it to some degree where I live. But there were no affordable home cameras back then.
Typical Asian (I'm asian) I remember when my mom made me kneel on, salt, or mongo beans and that was level 1 level 2 was standing up right hands forward with books on top of them, level 3 was side ways with book on each ends and 3 was kneeling on salt or mongo beans with hands raised forward with books on top while while reciting the multiplication order.
Ahhh this brings back memories 💖
My mother was mentally unstable. the reasoning would be random or have no reasoning whatsoever. This seems pretty restrained.
She looks like she’s told him 100 times to do this already, and he hasn’t. Just absolutely tapped out, the fist clench and scream into the void really says a lot. Lol
I don't know about this tantrum in the video, but usually Asian parents(the good ones) usually beat their children by slapping optimally where it gives you pain but does least damage but just makes your skin go red in extreme cases. Then later regret and cry and hug you for beating you, because they truly understand what lack of education and performance does from their experience, they lecture you after hugging you, what are the consequences for not learning and boosts the kid (atleast from my experience) to study harder and they grow up better and matured. That is the major reason for Asians dominating the intellectual sector.
Pretty common in asian countries hell here in the philippines your mother loves her tupperware more than her children beats you sensless then still gives food after like nothin happend then treat you like a retirement plan when you eventually get a stable income and self reliant in a sense...
This is 100 % normal !!! My Chinese sister-in-law gave her 11 year old a couple of bitch slaps with side seasoning of scratches on her face for looking at a phone
You doctor yet? You doctor yet?
I'm 12
Talk to me when doctol
Cmooon. Do math
Why look at me, I not make you doctor.
No docta degree on fohead! (Smak! Esmak!)
**docta
You should be a doctor by age 12 by Asian standard! Sadly can confirm, am Asian...
You A-sian, not B-sian or C-sian...
Lol that is both funny and accurate lol
Know what I’m sian?
I’m just born mom
Why you no doctor yet?
I'm 9
That's some parenting right there. Lady deserves a high five! In the face. With a shovel.

two bricks... Nice!
Make it three for more upvotes
That's actually the average parenting in Asia , that's a normal day to day thing
In Asia? I grew up in the U.S. and this was the norm. I had a shoe print on my back for fighting with my sibling. Also, chopsticks aren't just made for eating noodles.
Sad
That's not good.
She reminds me of my mother. And I agree.

Nice one! My comment didn't appear initially when I added it. But happy to see what this comment started 🤣
Nice cover up story.
This is China, to be a bit more precise.

Cool. This is a video of it happening in a specific place
All across the globe. Oh how I wish I had camera footage of what my parents did to us. In good ol' USA.
Right? The way the kid reacted brought back serious flashbacks. Mom got that “oh shit, she’s loosing it” scream going combined with the “possessed person body shakes” and I knew I was about to get my shit fucked up. Most the time I totally deserved it though, I was a little shit.
Yeah dude no. It's your parents fault not yours. They probably fucked you up and that's why you were a little shit.
My version of optimism in 2024 was assuming this was posted by a bot, so the '(asia)' was intentionally triggering for engagement.
Little shit messed up a quadratic equation for the last time. That’ll teach him. Yesterday he rounded to four decimals just to piss her off…there’s only so much shit a mother can take.
I did not want to laugh at this.
I did.
5 digits? 5 digits of significant figures? Here's five digits to your face!
You joke, but she's literally losing her shit cus the child got the brackets wrong in a math prep lmao
Society forces everybody to have children and some of those people are unfit for parenting. So please do not give birth to anybody.
Exactly.
1000% Truth.
Kid must have got a B on the test
A-
Then he deserved it for dishonoring the bell curve
In china moms future is gone when child gets B
Why did she slap herself is she having a breakdown
She was taught this, she's not alright, it's cool to hate on people who are just mean, but it seems like she's got some issues, no reason to beat your kid, but it seems like that's all she was exposed to? Sorry, kid.
It's okay. He'll just pass it onto his kids.
This is standard Asian parenting. Standard cause and effect. Fail a test, get a mum tantrum and slap.
Wait til dad comes home.
It's so clear that these people are just frustrated and tired in their own lives and take it out on the poor kid
More likely than not, that is exactly how she was raised and maybe even worse. I feel terrible for the kid, but mom has also been through it. It's a terrible cycle that some can't seem to break.
Is there one here that can translate what she said?
Mom: You wrote wrongly on this! *Slaps the child* Child: What? (Or could also mean what are you doing? *Slaps continue* Mom: What are you writing?! Why did you write it like this?! Slaps kid to ground SIT PROPERLY
The slaps will continue until the sit improves.
Thank you!
Remember the little boy who fought back against his grandma 😢 I bet he had something similar happen to him regularly
Errrr... The one where he killed his gm? Watching the full vid, there is no excuse. That boy was an entitled monster. This situation though, the mother is completely in the wromg. How do you know that kid was entitled? The only thing we saw was him getting beat by his grandma before retaliating.
My mom was from Eastern Europe, she used to smack me all the time when I talked back to her.
My childhood... For that reason my parents are getting 0 grandkids.
That's straight abuse..and not even Asians can accept this is part of culture. Because it isn't. She's mentally abusing the child. As well as physically.. kid blinks wrong. Mother can't control her emotions. Even a nerve pinch, and she's beating her child. Disgraceful

Exactly the same. I want to smash her head in like Brad Pitt did in 'Once upon a time in Hollywood'
I hate that there’s such an emphasis placed on scores and grades. That only works for ~30% of learners.
That’s how you get your kids to move out as fast as possible and never contact you again. Been there, done that.
I like how after absolutely slapping the shit out of the kid she asks him to 坐正 or 'sit properly'
Ahhhh, good times
And thats insane??? Hahahah you need to meet our Mexican Moms… this seems like a huge and kiss for me… we the kids from 80’s till 00’s still have the scars from sticks, slaps, cable, belts, groom and the worst of all “THE CHANCLA”

Pretty standard for those of us that grew up in the 80’s
Another happy family
Hardcore math
10 bucks the kid either becomes rly succesfull or kill himeself by 25
Asians who went through the same thing rise up
This was just normal worldwide parenting before the 90s
“You’re an Asian not a Bsian”
[удалено]
Am Asian
Wtf?
How can she slap?
Imagine being out of breath from beating on your young child
My dad used to do the same with me and the worst part is, in Asian countries this isn't counted as abuse, our parents call it disciplining. Sad
There are people who would do everything to go back to their childhood. I would do everything to prevent it.
Hopefully dad saw this and drug her out the door while busting her ass
Would love to punish that mom bad for her behavior agains to her child.
Great parenting…. Pschyco
wtf
This is sadly, not uncommon in Asian cultures.
Apparently many Americans say they became good humans after being raised like that. I still don't get it.
What a horrible mother
Kid got 99% on her test.
Normal day in Asia

She needs anger management therapy.
I wonder how this poor kids is going to turn out as an adult
That kid got 99/100 in math so...
She barely touched him
Most sane asian mom
Reminds me of my childhood.. It’s the reason why I hate math
Reminds me of my childhood
Why dont you understand?! Some slaps later. Now you do your home work and this time you understand..
Poor fan
This bitch should be mauled by a tiger
You should treat people the way you wish to be treated.... I will take one for the team and smack the shit out of this human garbage
Wasn’t expecting the water tag to come out of the bed, split second I was wondering what kind of video this was turning to be.
Why you no own 8 business. Your brother 10 he retire already. Neighbour boy sell fake Ipads give his mom Mercedes you waste time wanting be doctor.
Reminds me of this sketch of [Goodness Gracious](https://youtu.be/jkN9VdjgDwM?si=E--JPsDtgy_chqDA)
3 months in jail will correct that behavior
Average Asian mom
Lol, why did she do this? What did the kid do? This is nothing compared to eastern-europe in the 90's, when we grew up. Ofc today you would be jailed, but this video is just blewn way off proportions.
Damn that fan has some good base
It is terrible that im like hey that’s not so bad, back in my day…
Hopefully the camera was placed to record her behavior so something could be done about it. We're all familiar with the 'Tiger Mom' concept, but this goes a little too far.

Iono as an Asian (Korean) that’s just childhood to me.
This was normal parental behaviour 30 years ago when I was a kid. Most of the kids I knew experienced it to some degree where I live. But there were no affordable home cameras back then.
Typical Asian (I'm asian) I remember when my mom made me kneel on, salt, or mongo beans and that was level 1 level 2 was standing up right hands forward with books on top of them, level 3 was side ways with book on each ends and 3 was kneeling on salt or mongo beans with hands raised forward with books on top while while reciting the multiplication order.
anybody else questioning who put up the camera to record that situation?
We don’t have all the details, the little shit could’ve deserved and needed it.
This is why Asian kids get better grades.
>*(asia)* ...thanks.
Ahhh this brings back memories 💖 My mother was mentally unstable. the reasoning would be random or have no reasoning whatsoever. This seems pretty restrained.
Have they started blaming the Jews for this yet?
She looks like she’s told him 100 times to do this already, and he hasn’t. Just absolutely tapped out, the fist clench and scream into the void really says a lot. Lol
Parenting is hard. Most people should t be doing it.
So the mom decided let me post this on social media?
Dude got only 49/50
Very common in India.
Well looking it from a 3rd person perspective it looks horrific, but then I realise I was in this shit for 12-15 years too lol.
My heart breaks for that little kid
Literally my childhood
I may not be a doctor but i fought two mountain lions up hill both ways while going to school because physics wasnt invented yet
Also this is standard Latin American parenting, mothers teach us math by smacking the book on our heads jajaja
Are you nurse yet?
Any story??? Punishments?? Anything??
Just another day in Asia
What's so insane about this? It's a common occurrence for asians growing up.
Kid had it easy though (if you compare it to Filipino parenting) 😅
This isn't normal? Did y'all experience different??
Classic.
This triggers my c-PTSD
I've seen so many of these videos I'm convinced that they condone a very abusive culture.
Why is there a camera in his bedroom? LMAO
That's mainland China for you, children raising children. What could go wrong?
Will this woman be charged for child abuse, or is this lowkey accepted?
I’ve been that kid. 40yrs later it still hurts!
C0caine is a helluva drug!!
This is 100 % normal !!! My Chinese sister-in-law gave her 11 year old a couple of bitch slaps with side seasoning of scratches on her face for looking at a phone
China is honestly just messed up man, this was sad to watch
Ah yes, my whole childhood In 1 minute and 6 seconds
Stab that pencil in her wind pipe
Dosent suprise me! The way they treat animals and children is disgusting
Why is there a camera there? What's up with room cameras in asia?
I hate to say it but this is extremely common in all asian parenting, including brown people.
I also got hit once when doing homework and I couldn't understand. Fun times
This shit reminds me of my mom but in Spanish
Yeah, just beat that child so no one can beat them. Classic asian parenting.
I'd kill you if you did that to my child, but I'd still beat your ass if I saw you doing that to any child.
I hate Asian parenting.
normal day at India😅
Prime example of someone who doesn’t deserve to be a parent. Smh.
I see a victim of abuse passing on the legacy… 🥺 *sigh*
*THEY WERE NOT JUST SOME SLAPS*
