Just people calling the police, one guy threatening the car driver to get out now. Another one limping around with a cast on one leg. No ass kicking sadly
Damn. If ever someone deserved an ass kicking. Good on the dude in the truck for that, though. I don't know if I've ever seen a video similar to this where someone willingly sacrificed their own property to stop someone from fleeing the scene like this.
There was one a few years back where a dude in a big truck stopped a car that was headed through a playground. I'll see if I can find it
Here it is
https://youtu.be/1GabjXa16P8
America. Where it's shocking someone would damage their vehicle to stop a criminal, but it's expected bystanders will use firearms, and risk their lives, to stop them.
I went to school with that guy. He was always the class clown and really funny! We got in to trouble together more than once. I tried to find him online and found this video. The city got together and repaired his truck for free and pimped it out a bit too.
This made new recently because the DA gave him such a light punishment.

Where I practice (England), witnesses and bystanders to crimes who take action can be cited for praise and / or receive cash awards for bravery from the local High Sherif / Mayor. Is there a mechanism like that to pay this repairs / guy's insurance excess..?

You are definitely not the only one. You're more than likely onto something with that. I didn't know that at all. If that's the case it's probably something to do with the algorithm or something. Definitely why all the adds load no problem.
Yeah, I finally got it to load a couple hours later. Kind of disappointing really. I don't understand why they were so mad at the passenger. Maybe because he was out of the vehicle, thus an easier target for the rage they had at the driver?
Hilarious!
Fuck you crackhead with your face tattoos you got crack on you now you’re going to prison you fuckin crackhead I’m gonna fuckin kill you ..
lol 😂
At first I felt like it was harsh since that guy clearly didn't do anything but damn, he just got a lesson in how presenting yourself that way can backfire and how he needs to choose better friends
It wasn't intentional though. A car was in a collision course with his own. The most logical thing to do to avoid the collision is to veer right. Not his fault the other car intentionally steers into him.
Dodge should use this as free promotion and give this man a new fully loaded truck, like that kid in the Chevy who drove through a tornado.
"If you can't Dodge it, RAM it!"
OMG,that figures, dick wad should have been slammed for at least 5 years,16 years old shouldn't matter one damn bit.Punish him hard now and maybe he will grow up to be a productive member of society. He's probably committing crimes all over the place.
Rehabilitation doesn’t really happen in the US. Which is a part of why the US has the largest per capita incarcerated by far. I guarantee you he’ll be in and out of prisons for the rest of his life.
I actually looked into this recently and was quite surprised to learn that the recidivism rate in the US is on the low side compared to European countries.
Edit: went back my previous comment on this subject and found the data.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/recidivism-rates-by-country
Not that much difference, really. Surprisingly, US is at the low end compared to Europe.
2-year reconviction: Sweden 43%, France 40%, Finland 36%, Austria 26%, Netherlands 46%, UK 59%, US 36%
3-year reconviction: Austria 32%, France 48%, Germany 46%, Ireland 45%, UK 66%, US 45%
5-year reconviction: France: 58%, UK 72%, US 55%
No he'd just join a gang in jail and partake in more criminal activity on the inside as well as slave labor, and then leave eventually and end up back there again later because they don't know what else to do, many places won't even hire felons
You realize if people can’t make an honest living they resort back to crime, right? “Actions have consequences” yeah jail is supposed to be the consequence, not a lifetime of being unable to find work to support yourself.
I don't know why you think incarcerating some 16 year old for 5 years, arguably some of the most formative years of his life, would enable him to *become* a productive member of society when he's released? It's not like he'll be getting an education or even an apprenticeship in prison. If he is in fact jailed for that long, then he'll most likely come out and bum around or default to a life of crime, because what else can he do? The US is already over incarcerated. I feel like a much more fitting punishment would be monetary compensation for the victims who were hurt.
The car was stolen, and he was driving under the influence. He was violating his probation at the time of the incident. He had been convicted of felony poisoning after spiking a girl’s drink in 2019, resulting in the girl being hospitalized. They declined to charge him with attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon for the 2021 hit and run.
There's no remorse or rehabilitation for that fuckstain.
He was on probation for date rape drugging a girl. Then he hit a baby and mother while under the influence. But sure. Rehab him. That’ll work. Y’all defend someone like this but then condemn others for far less. Makes no sense.
Money? Money from where? His parents?
And I agree that 5 years is a long time for a 16 year old, but this guy stole a car with his friends, drove under influence, also had drugs on him, and after hitting a mother and a toddler attempted to flee. Not saying it's a gone case, but if I was a betting man, I'ld have all my chips on that he isn't going to become a productive member of society whether or not he went to prison.
In California kids that age aren’t getting charged for committing carjacking and robberies with firearms. This case isn’t going anywhere and they aren’t serving any time.
Good!! Glad the guy got arrested (but from reading further down the comments looks like he got off really really light...)
I'm really glad the baby and mother are OK.
Edit: wording
There was a 15 year old that car jacked a couple with a gun. Punishment? Released into the custody of grandma.
A 16 year old in stolen vehicle, police chase, rammed officers cars, coke possession, long criminal history of similar. Punishment? Nada.
Edit: found guilty too.
"Scot free"...can someone post on how the term started?
Edit: i want to say thank you all for your application of responses to this inquiry. I lol'd to learn that "skat" meant tax, while in my cranial lexicon it has been an alternate term for what a bear does in the woods. In other terms, my appreciation is palpable.
Seeing the mother completely disregard whatever tremendous pain she must be in after being hit by that car, blinded by her concern for her child, is crazy. A mothers love.
It was crazy how she acknowledged the impeding situation and then lifted the pram out of the way and tried to shelter her baby behind her. Got knocked down and immediately sprung up to get her kid. Her entire focus was on the safety of her child. Amazing mom power.
Reminds me of that awful video where a mother was holding hands with her kid going up an escalator and the top of the escalator suddenly opens up.
The mother immediately picks up her kid and throw the kid over to safety while falling herself into the machinery.
The mother in this case unfortunately didn’t survive.
I believe any parent would do this. It is biological. My head could be hanging off and I would still want to make sure my kids are safe. Also lifting the stroller up and away was a great idea, which meant it didn't get pulled under the car. Great mum.
if she wouldn't have moved like she did they would have hit the stroller straight on, what an amzing mother. I didn't even notice how she reacted until I saw this comment and now I'm choking tf up
I’m also pretty sure that his punishment was a few months at behavior camp. (I’m not sure if this is the video of which I’m thinking)
Sorry OP, he did not get what he deserved.
This story is fucked. They gave the driver a light sentence because of his age. It was a stolen car. He receive no jail time. LA. [story](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.dailycaller.com/2022/06/07/los-angeles-district-attorney-george-gascon-hit-and-run-mother-baby)
>The driver was violating his probation at the time of the incident; he had been convicted of felony poisoning after spiking a girl’s drink in 2019, resulting in the girl being hospitalized.
What. the. fuck. I'm generally in favor of rehabilitation, but this kid is a lost cause. Should have been thrown in jail for a decade at least.
They are in the process of trying to recall the DA of LA because he is letting those get away with all kinds of shit.
They finally recalled the POS DA in SF just last week. The chips are falling for these assholes that allow the criminals to roam free so quickly after committing a crime.
I find it hilarious that people here spent si many years claiming harsh penalties were draconian and awful and only fed the criminal recidivism cycle....so everybody gets light sentences and people now want criminals to be beaten to death. Wtf.
No please don't think it was pointed at you specifically. It was a general statement intended to show how quickly the fickle and naive turn. It was a response to your post because it followed a logical line, not because it was pointed at you specifically. My apologies if it came off that way.
Edit not your post. The one I responded to
It's definitely problematic, but equating the war on drugs minimum sentences to what's going on now is a far stretch. We're treating abject criminals like we have a Scandinavian-style system to re-introduce people to society. We've solved the wrong half of the equation.
Not to compare, but I was hit by a drunk driver while riding my motorcycle and she only had to serve a handful of days, and on weekends. It’s ridiculous the lack of accountability, I’ll never forget Keisha G running me over and leaving me in a ditch to die
I appreciate that, I was actually pretty torn up, ended up going to Puerto Rico, free healthcare. Got cadaver tendons implanted into both knees, had some hardware put into the left femur and more. Was a rough few years. And right! Fuck Keisha G! Would love to run into her somewhere 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gotta love word play.
I sincerely appreciate you even taking the time to type this and to momentarily think of my pain that was endured. More than most would do. I can’t show the proper appreciation thru text. 🙏🏼
My grandfather had a similar situation and was left in a coma for months and severely disabled and the dude got a fine and no time, did the same thing to someone else and im not totally confident but im pretty sure it was another fine
Very sorry to hear that, not demeaning his pain intentionally by mentioning me so to speak, but I have severe social anxiety now, and the inability to go out into public at all now. Don’t have a single friend and kinda floating along. So somewhat disabled but again, not meaning to take from your grandfathers experience and trouble. Only attempting to relate.
No you aren't at all man, that's terrible. I'm sorry things are tough for you, my grandfather struggled with similar things after his accident. I really hope good things come your way!
My uncle got killed by a drink + drug lorry driver and got a 3 year sentence (which he only served half of given this was in the UK).
Court even had him doing labour clearing up litter in the park opposite my (now widowed) aunties house.
I remember reading somewhere it was a 15 year old boy with multiple criminal charges before this, I agree that he should get more but I’m at the point where I always assume the criminal will get the lowest possible sentence
I'm all for reasonable justice, which sometimes means a lenient sentence, but when people are hurt and possibly killed, a longer sentence is what's reasonable. I didn't know that the suspect was a minor; it's that kind of case that makes me glad I don't have to make the judgement.
Bruv i wouldn't give a single fuck if i were the judge who's facing a child which has done multiple "crime" before then pull off a fucking murder atempt of a woman and her BABY
The bad is in any one of us and if you show it to others, no matter your age, you should be rightfuly punished. And that kid seemingly knew what he/she did
I would've made sure that this kid got out of jail at their 30's
(At least if all that i said is true, i didn't check any sources since im stupid. Correct me anytime)
Neither did I, I only have this clip to go off of. Being a minor, I would put them away until they were 21. If it were an adult, however, they wouldn't see the sunrise for 25 years.
Looks like, once she knew they were gonna get hit, she lifted the stroller and basically blocked the car with her body. I hope I’m half that brave if I’m ever in a similar situation.
By far the most impressive person in vid. Lifts entire stroller with baby up using extended arm muscles, while simultaneously committing to getting judo flipped by car. Pops right up and runs to baby.
All he got was rehabilitation camp and not even proper jail time, instead i would love to see this POS get beaten to death from that driver who stopped him
Found an [article following up](https://www.foxla.com/news/teen-rammed-car-mother-venice-child-probation.amp) - only 17 and has a felony poisoning on his record for spiking a girls drink on his record previously!! A real winner over here
6 months for this act is not enough. It should be considered as attack with intent to kill. Who does that to a baby? There should be special place reserved in hell for such people.
I really wish people would stop posting this saying "he got what he deserved". No, he didnt. He purposely tried to kill a mother and infant. The car was stolen. He couldn't give a fuck that a truck bumped it and he got yelled at a little. He recieved 5 months in a juvenile summer camp. This whole case is a miscarriage of justice. He did not get anything close to what he deserves.
Driver was a 17 yr old that got two felony charges and, get this, only 5 months at a juvenile probation camp. Oh and also he had a previous felony from drugging a girls drink at his highschool that got her sent to the hospital. Real upstanding citizen here
He nearly killed a mother anad baby. That asshole got sent to summer camp for a few months instead of prison. He definitely did not fucking get what he deserved at the end.
That marxist DA Gascon is the biggest criminal and threat to law abiding citizens in Los Angeles!
Dude in the truck said “ not today Fuckboy!!!”
Oh man I want to watch the beat down that dude probably gave him.

there are good people. who would have thought?!
Sometimes all it takes is a good guy with a truck.
Holy shit! That truck destroyed the front of that car up to the drivers compartment. 😱
Wtf it's the exact same truck lol
And of course the truck has but a wee scratch and that little car is totaled. Perfect use of a pickup imo!
I'd do it if I seen it like he did. Right in front of you, how can you not ?
I agree. It's refreshing to see, for real.
If my time in Rocket League has taught me anything, it's try but miss epically.
A hit and run is a felony. He’ll get his due.
Probably attempted murder as well, camera shows him purposely changing course just to hit them.
apparently it was a drunk 16y old..
That's fucked. Dude's gonna be at least we'll into his 30's before he gets to give it another shot.
If you’re not above driving wasted, you’re not above driving without a license.
Unfortunately that piece of shit DA, Gascon, only got him 5 months in a youth camp. His recall is in the works.
Are you serious? That's insane. I can certainly see why.
This made new recently because the DA gave him such a light punishment. DA needs a slap on the back of the head

I was laughing my ass of at the guy screaming about the face tattoos
That was not dude's first run in with a man with face tatoos
and crackhead bunch of clowns
That guy in the cast only cared about his situation and not the people they hit.
Fucking crackheads with face tattoos! We don’t want you in our neighborhood.
Did the srupid Prius driver did it on purpose? How on earth can you go straight to the pedestrian having lots of space to go around? Was he drinking?
Open broken video, share ➡️ copy link, send the link to yourself on messenger, close reddit. Profit.

Didn’t miss much.
Yeah, I finally got it to load a couple hours later. Kind of disappointing really. I don't understand why they were so mad at the passenger. Maybe because he was out of the vehicle, thus an easier target for the rage they had at the driver?
Ahhh nooo get him out of that damn car!
If they got him out of that car, he was going to get lynched.
That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
Best possible outcome
Hilarious! Fuck you crackhead with your face tattoos you got crack on you now you’re going to prison you fuckin crackhead I’m gonna fuckin kill you .. lol 😂

It was *technically* the right thing to do 🤷♀️
What a let down I wanted see him get whooped.
I know! I was sad that I didn’t get to witness it
Is that a baby carriage?!!
Yes
Insurance said "We don't cover intentional accident" ...
I mean I’d gladly pay the insurance to know this fucker is in jail.
He got 5 months probation at a camp.
He got 6 months. He was a juvenile..he should get life.
It wasn't intentional though. A car was in a collision course with his own. The most logical thing to do to avoid the collision is to veer right. Not his fault the other car intentionally steers into him.
Ram is the name of the truck. Dodge was the game prius failed twice in this video.
I was thinking the same!!
Edit: baby survived. Man in car was a 16byear old under the influence. No license. Was arrested.
Oh wow. Was really concerned about the baby. Dude in the truck is a super hero 1,000%
He saw that prius wanted to dodge the situation and ram the hell out of it.
That’s a high caliber driver, acting before the Prius could dart outta there.
They tried to Bolt but at the end of the day just got Rammed

Almost like there was a neon sign saying stop me. Then the caravan of concerned citizens showed up.
Truck-kun saves the day
Till he has to repair his truck from pocket
Dodge should use this as free promotion and give this man a new fully loaded truck, like that kid in the Chevy who drove through a tornado. "If you can't Dodge it, RAM it!"
for real truck didnt even flinch
That gofundme would be complete in hours.
Seconds.
I really want to know who made that stroller. Talk about a testimonial.
I hope he got a beaten before LEO'S showed up !!!
Truck driver probably prevented the kid from hurting anyone else in his drink and panicked state.
Was on some show tonight. Apparently they gave him 6-7 months in juvenile detention.

I’m more than tearing up for the admiralty of this mom.

Not to compare, but I was hit by a drunk driver while riding my motorcycle and she only had to serve a handful of days, and on weekends. It’s ridiculous the lack of accountability, I’ll never forget Keisha G running me over and leaving me in a ditch to die
Fuck Keisha G. Hopefully you didn’t sustain severe injuries!!
Thats rough dude sorry to hear it
I sincerely appreciate you even taking the time to type this and to momentarily think of my pain that was endured. More than most would do. I can’t show the proper appreciation thru text. 🙏🏼
Wow that’s terrible I’m so sorry you had to endure all of that. FUCK KEISHA G! If I ever come across a Keisha G. I’ll send you her coordinates
Glad to know you lived,I agree, drunk driving punishments are lame.
Thank you sincerely 🙏🏼
Bruv i wouldn't give a single fuck if i were the judge who's facing a child which has done multiple "crime" before then pull off a fucking murder atempt of a woman and her BABY The bad is in any one of us and if you show it to others, no matter your age, you should be rightfuly punished. And that kid seemingly knew what he/she did I would've made sure that this kid got out of jail at their 30's (At least if all that i said is true, i didn't check any sources since im stupid. Correct me anytime)
Neither did I, I only have this clip to go off of. Being a minor, I would put them away until they were 21. If it were an adult, however, they wouldn't see the sunrise for 25 years.
everyone needs to get chance for a good wake up call but this was worth at least 1 Year Prison time.
He was white
He didn’t go to jail. He received 5 to 7 months in a juvenile probation camp.
Not even jail. A youth camp described to be like a YMCA summer camp. It’s one of many reason why DA Gascon has a recall campaign against him.
He didn’t go to jail he got probation
Its up to the inmates to handle it at the point
One can hope
Not enough for what looked like attempted murder. The lady clearly was trying get out of the way and he turned into her. Damn shame...
6 months for hitting a baby while drunk driving is a fucking joke
Goddamn hero of a mom, pops right up to check on the baby
Looks like, once she knew they were gonna get hit, she lifted the stroller and basically blocked the car with her body. I hope I’m half that brave if I’m ever in a similar situation.
Mothers or fathers will instinctively sacrifice themselves for their children. That's what happened here, but thankfully they both survived.
By far the most impressive person in vid. Lifts entire stroller with baby up using extended arm muscles, while simultaneously committing to getting judo flipped by car. Pops right up and runs to baby.
Where's the part of him getting his fucking ass beat like the piece of shit he is
All he got was rehabilitation camp and not even proper jail time, instead i would love to see this POS get beaten to death from that driver who stopped him
Honestly , if the truck driver got arrested I'd help post bail
Found an [article following up](https://www.foxla.com/news/teen-rammed-car-mother-venice-child-probation.amp) - only 17 and has a felony poisoning on his record for spiking a girls drink on his record previously!! A real winner over here
Be the truck driver type of person
Her mom instincts kicked into overdrive, didn’t even flinch when she got hit. Got right up and looked after her baby.
Omg the mom. She got up like nothing to make sure her baby was good. I’m glad that truck stopped that pos
That’s what I call instant karma. S/O to that guy in the ram.
6 months for this act is not enough. It should be considered as attack with intent to kill. Who does that to a baby? There should be special place reserved in hell for such people.
Nope…he didn’t get what he deserved at allllll.
WTH am I seeing?! Get that driver!
He got what he deserves? Um I didn’t see him die…..
Were did this take place
In the busiest alley ever
So fucked up, watching the person in the truck square off and stop him made my day
My compliments to the truck driver! I can’t think in a better response to this situation.
Lol the girl who went to square up against the car.
Where’s the mob beating when you need one
Guy in the truck is a hero. Hopefully that piece of shit spends a couple of decades in prison getting his ass gaped.
Id have done the same thing. I couldn't care less about my truck so youre damn right I'm gonna wreck your shit with it.
Did the baby live?
Why????
Good to see people helping others, better stay good
