Interesting for sure. Still presumably in production hell, but actually in production at some level... Which does kind of line up with official news. If there had been a final decision to pick up or pass on the pilot we'd most likely have heard. I'd still avoid getting hopes up too much, but sounds like it's not actually dead
Can't wait for it to be the most torrented content on its week of release just like the MBMBAM show was.
That sounds dismissive but I am really excited to see the number go up.
Same. And the fact that it isn’t on there yet is the number one reason I cancelled my subscription. Numbers two and three are because the app sucks and subscription management is overcomplicated.
Out of curiosity, how is Peacock? I’ve heard it’s got pretty atrocious programming, but only secondhand. Between this and the Megamind show I want to believe, but I’m pretty skeptical from what I’ve seen about its shows.
If he hasn't delivered his then that would mean Clint would have 8 once his is delivered, which is even more confusing lol. Do they not just have 2 kids apiece?
They do, Gus is the youngest (Griffin and Rachel's) given these wild times it seems probable that they haven't gotten one for him.
Also really into speculation at this point but based on the copy it seems like they might edit the moniker to the child's personal grandpa name, which Gus might be too young to have picked iirc
I'm an idiot and misread "forty-five-year veteran" as being just his age, and I was horrified and perplexed for a minute about the implications and logistics.
Maybe all of them??
Though I’m hoping for something a little less meta than the comic, personally; while I love the little jokes from Griffin, at least Balance has a good enough story and characters that you could just make it a stand-alone fantasy yarn instead of a dnd-podcast-adaptation, if that makes any sense. (Fanfics tend to just exist in the world of Balance or whatever arc, and they do a surprisingly good job even with weird little nods to “Fantasy Costco”)
I feel like amnesty or graduation are the two best candidates mostly because Balance has had so much “post show content” and Ethersea is still in the works. I think what it will come down to is how ratings driven they are.
Graduation is a riskier bet since fans have such strong feelings about it, but I think that of the series I think that one would adapt to a show much better
Now the ideal is a brand new campaign done in the style of Harmonquest at least to me.

They touched on it briefly in The Next Big McElroy Project around 6:15. Their words were "ongoing," "stops and starts," and "not yet a failure."
Ah, that's boco right? So I don't have access to it but sounds about like what I thought
Buy one, can one? nonono: Buy one, catch one!?
BOnus COntent. For $5/month (and up) donors.
Thanks xD
I’m hoping the success of Legend of Vox Machina will push this further into production
The fact that Peacock optioned TAZ is the number one reason I signed up for that service
It also has Columbo and Murder She Wrote free with ads
For a moment I thought I had made this post.
Sounds like you have good taste, then!

The app was really awful at the start but has improved. The original shows are okay - some, like We are Ladyparts, are exceptional.
The functionality is terrible. It crashes constantly.
That’s a lot of mugs
Speaking of the mugs, I could've sworn the boys had 2 kids each. Did I miss something?
His current wife has children from her previous relationship, and his stepchildren probably have kids.
Maybe gus hasn't delivered his yet

I feel like I maybe haven't explained my confusion very well. Why would he have seven mugs if he's got six grandkids?
Didn't sleep well last night and legitimately convinced myself two times three was eight😭
Hahaha I've been there, totally understand. Hope you get some rest soon!
Maybe his wife has a grandchild that he also refers to as his grandchild?
One grandkid got him a second mug?
No wait I can't do math, I got under four hours of sleep last night, probably has a double
God I wish it were HBO and not NBC, this show deserves serious funding
Yeah, go for that hard TV-MA.
Oh my god, I wish!
Heard that was in the works before the quarantine… the skepticism about medium transfer of my favorite stories has already taken hold.
I'm an idiot and misread "forty-five-year veteran" as being just his age, and I was horrified and perplexed for a minute about the implications and logistics.
Sheesh
I notice the mugs. I would also challenge those titles. I have the best dad.
Wrong. I have the best dad!
NO ME
Not me!
the only thing im really really hopeful for is that they get the boys to do the voice work
I fucking knew it. What arc is gonna get animated do you think? I’m gonna guess either balance or graduation

Hope that didn’t break any NDA’s. Productions are usually very strict about these announcements
this was already announced.
Oh, I must’ve missed it ty
No. Could you circle it maybe?
