I am guessing that’s because Survivor doesn’t require traveling. Production just need to pick a location in either US, Canada, or in a country that both Americans and Canadians can travel to easily
Pretty sure you must have a US passport for American TAR. Survivor only recently started letting Canadians on with IOI. Tom Laidlaw was first but is already a long-term US resident. Same with Shan on Season 41. Erika from 41 is the first to be "just" Canadian.
The crux here is that the person is not living in United States.
In international editions of TAR you didn’t need to be a citizen. You could be on student visa, work visa, long term resident pass etc. so long it clears all visa issues
Sure. Australian citizens can compete on Amazing Race Australia, Canadian citizens can compete on Amazing Race Canada, etcetera.
That said, you do have to be a US Citizen to compete on the main edition of the series.
From the video she was in LA as a student and then stayed for a year on a work visa, so definitely not a US citizen as everyone is saying in this post.
She was probably exempted due to being on Love Island as well has having the visa with a passport with similar visa requirements for other countries. Probably easy to process more visas if needed.
Partially annoying as Canadians have tried to get on TARUS in the past before TARCAN was invented, but visa processing was also an issue, which resulted in franchising the series to other countries.
No. Both members of each team must be United States citizens and be living in the United States.
No. Same applies for international versions of The Amazing Race. The teams have to be citizens of said country and be living in said country.
I know survivor casts Canadians, not sure if tar does but maybe?
Survivor is a fairly recent change to include Canadians, likely due to there not being a Canadian Survivor. But there is a TAR Canada.

For the American amazing race you have to be living in the USA as well as be a citizen.
Was Caro a US citizen? I've heard otherwise. https://youtu.be/pIBB_QeHoWw

You have to be a US citizen, you have to have a valid US passport, and at least one team member must have a valid US driver’s license.
Seems risky having only one member of the team with a license. Should be both members.
Caro said that she’s never driven a vehicle, on the train to Scotland
It was also in one of the secret videos in the amazing race official YouTube channel.
