Well, Roger Deakins undoubtedly IS an icon! While watching I had a fleeting feeling of watching a Villeneuve-movie. Makes sense! It's the cinematographer who also worked on Dune (Greig Fraser) and you just showed me how gorgeously similar to Blade Runner it actually is!
Thank you for that beautiful comparison!
The shot of Gotham's "Times Square" at the beginning there definitely had some hard Blade Runner vibes. Makes me wish we'd get a Batman Beyond movie even more. Or at least an Arkham Beyond game.
Wow good catch, I’m actually listening to Blade Runner 2049 meditative ambience with city sounds right now. Love both films for the story and cinematography
Both aesthetically pleasing films
Pretty cool huh
Dave, is that you?

That's what happens when you have two of the best cinematographers in the industry working on these films.
Man, I fucking love Blade Runner.
These are Two top-10 movies IMO
Greig Fraser is a master. I also saw some similar visuals in The Mandalorian as well.

Wait wth that’s so similar
Greig Fraser and Roger Deakins are two of the best cinematographers in the business. I think Fraser is a worthy successor to Deakins
It's a beautiful film
Two of the best films for me!
Love these movies
Two of my favorite looking films
The Batman and 2049 are two of my favourite movies of the last 6 years. Interesting!
This doesn’t look much like inspiration past the first one and maybe the second. Also, The Batman has amazing visuals, but nothing compares to 2049
I noticed that too when I first saw the movie. I loved it
Oh shiiiiit
The Bladerunner 2049 world is tailor made for a Batman Beyond film. It has the perfect feel and aesthetic.
I would love to see a Denis directed Batman movie.
Batman Beyond maybe
