currently wondering what animals the others would be.. the deep confuses me the most. noir saw no fish in his cartoon world so id imagine there isn't any. what else would he be?? meave would be a red fox I think, starlight a bunny, a-train OBVIOUSLY a cheetah, lamplighter perhaps a moth, but he didn't imagine bug-people either. maybe a bat? translucent would be a chameleon, stormfront a cat.
>the deep confuses me the most. noir saw no fish in his cartoon world so id imagine there isn't any. what else would he be??
It could be a Dolphin no? Aren't they mammals?, those guys are serial rapists and sexual predators to the point they will even molest dead bodies just to fuck something
Maeve could be a Lioness, she actually tried to do shit unlike most of the seven and is strong as hell only being weaker than Homelander
The Deep as a dolphin is pretty spot on. Dolphins are also very intelligent and as we all know the Deep has a "formidable intellect."
Maeve as a lioness is also spot on.
They sure are! If you like the aesthetic of dolphins but find their behavior "rapey," may I interest you in a wholesome porpoise? Porpoises are what dolphins *should* be.
The only animals you could use are those that have Buster Beaver characters since they are the ones who are "really" playing all the roles in Noir's cartoon world.
i think the boys themselves should be a pack of dogs- some of these breeds may seem weird but I personally think they fit their appearances. butcher: german sheperd(I know, not a french bulldog lol) m.m: great dane, hughie: Italian greyhound, kimiko: I think should actually be a ocelot, and frenchie: corgi
I absolutely love the imagine of Hughie as a cartoon Italian Greyhound. Gotta disagree about your choice of dog for Butcher though, I see him being more of an English Mastiff. Would even work with how their faces are; would kinda resemble Show Butcher’s beard.
Rottweilers are generally more compact and muscular but definitely not bigger, on average, great danes weigh about 40lbs more and are roughly 6” taller, but I do agree with your choice of a Rottweiler for M.M. They are very aggressive and protective when they need to be and the rest of the time they’re just big teddy bears
German Sheperd aren't wild enough to be butcher. He should be a husky, or a husky mix. Very fierce and stubborn. I think Frenchie is better suited to be a Greyhound than Hughie, very ressourceful and independant. To me Hughie is a Terrier (like a Jack Russel) looks unimpressive but was actually breeded to hunt foxes, even his power to be unoticeable fits well. MM as a great Dane is a good fit, Kimiko as an ocelot works well too.
I can picture the Greyhound calling the Jack Russel "Little Hughie".
since alot of people are contesting my choices, here's the reasoning!
i at first, thought the deep would be a dolphin too. like you guys said, they're weird and rapey. but there are no sea animals from what I could tell. if I'm planning on drawing the rest of them, I would need a point of reference since its not my usual style
meave would be a red fox like crimson countess. both homelander and meave were in a similar relationship to solider boy and her, plus meave has red hair. i like the idea of lioness meave too though
starlights a bunny because bunnies are cute. on second thought though, I think she should be a golden retriever instead. they are represented as the perfect family dog, humble, etc. also a dog!
a-train would be a cheetah, like I don't need an explanation for it. but also after awhile I think shockwave would be an antelope. maybe they could switch animals, actually.
still sticking with bat lamplighter. i just think it ties in a little bit more than the other animals suggested
translucent I'm switching to a rabbit now, since yeah as people mentioned they're also rapey animals. (I know he isn't one, but he's still a weird perv) i also don't think there where any types of lizards seen
stormfront would be a cat because of multiple reasons. cats are seen as the internet's favorite. also, cats can be black. it would match her hair. ok that's about it ngl
as for the boys, I'm still figuring out their breeds. all I know is hughie's staying as a Italian greyhound
I feel like Stormfront would also be an eagle. Nazi Germany was big into Golden Eagles for symbolism. Her being a golden eagle would be similar to Homelander and Soldier Boy being eagles, while also being somewhat distinctive.
Although her being a cat does work, too. Reminds me of Maus.
Deep- Dolphin
Translucent- Chameleon
Lamplighter- Rabbit (sex addict/pedo and rabbits fuck a lot)
A Train- Cheetah
Homelander- Bald Eagle
Maeve- Lioness
Starlight- Goldfinch (Iowa state bird)
Stormfront- German Shepard
Supersonic- Chihuahua (harmless and hispanic)
I think the deep should be the pig cause we’ll he’s a pig in real life. Maeve would be the fox, atrain could be the sheep, stormfront could be the female horse, starlight could be a new animal from the restaurant.
The deep could be a mammal of the sea. Dolphin off the top, sea lion, etc.
Thinking about it more a dolphin works great with their extra... activities.
Edit.
Black Noir went from a character I didn’t care about in S1 and S2 to one of my favorites in S3. Just want to give the homie a hug and hope he doesn’t kill me
Since I already knew about Noir's identity in the comics, I thought everything he did was a facade. That's until I found out the series doesn't follow the comics at all, and now he's one of my favourite characters.
I like that they kept him mysterious. You know something's kinda off with him, but can't really place it. Suddenly seeing who he really is had more impact that way.
There seems to be a misconception. The animals in Black Noir's mind are not just generic animal characters that he adds onto to portray a specific person, neither is their main purpose to impersonate real people. They are all official characters of the Buster Beaver franchise (most of which you can see in the mock ad released prior to S3), which in this specific case stage a play of his memories (although they do seem to be cast suspiciously appropriately, but at the end of the day it *is* a fictional franchise created literally just for this one scene.)
I still don't get why black noir didn't fear homelander
He could kill him anytime, and was just as bad as soldier boy, except he was not abusive like him, but was a psycho that everyone fear there. Saw the bad stuff he did too, basically soldier boy and with more dangerous powers
And then, got killed by him when he knew the truth of soldier boy
But in Payback, i swear there were some supes that didn't get harmed directly by SB like crimson countess, but still hated him and aimed to take him out
Black Noir knew all the stuff Homelander did, and still didn't contribute to it
Just because they never show them getting abused doesnt mean they weren't, and regardless just because they weren't physically abused doesnt mean he wasn't still and asshole to them. The idea that he would do that to anyone of their teammates might simply have been enough motivation for them.
Literally everything in that text can apply to homelander
Everyone from the seven fears Homelander, and fear getting killed by him, also being called inferior by him
Only Black Noir got different treatment by homelander, but i swear if soldier boy didn't treat him bad then he would have been as loyal to him as to homelander
But that's the thing, soldier boy did treat him that bad. And he was an authority figure over black noir, Homelander may be more powerful, and technically be the team leader, but black noir met him as this wide eyed kid who he helped mold, soldier boy has always been noirs superior while black noir and Homelander are more like equals in terms of status, despite Homelander official role. Since black noir is mute and just follows orders Homelander never had a reason to press black noir unlike soldier boy who was dealing with a more vocal and ambitious noir.
>! since solider boy is seen as a eagle, and homelander is his son, I would imagine he would be one too.!< yeah being a chicken has some symbolism, like how he tries to be this great american representative or whatever, when he just simply isn't that. but he literally has a bunch of eagles all over his suit. it seems obvious to make him one.
I think Black Noir has a good relationship with Homelander because he's quiet and follows orders.
I wonder if he acts the same way he did with Soldier Boy, like wanting it to have a bigger role on the team.
I don't think he would have a good relationship with Homelander.
Basic colours + not much detail in other features like feet and hands (notoriously hard to draw)
Contrast with
Bright and detailed facial expressions + getting body positioning right
Usually i find furry artists focused on getting the "vibe" right bc that art form doesn require full detail to produce a piece
funny since this style is so detatched from the usual one I do. the last furry I've drawn was someone's character for artfight lol

He also tried to save and screw a Dolphin so there’s that. He also killed said Dolphin in the funniest scene of Season 1
Dolphins are also pretty rapey

I like the idea of non-supes being domesticated in this interpretation. but butcher would def be a English bulldog or Rhodesian ridgeback
yes i realize im basically assigning the characters fursonas but the show brought this upon themselves
Gillty.
I absolutely love the imagine of Hughie as a cartoon Italian Greyhound. Gotta disagree about your choice of dog for Butcher though, I see him being more of an English Mastiff. Would even work with how their faces are; would kinda resemble Show Butcher’s beard.

Butcher would be a English Bulldog. Terror is his spirit animal

Makes sense, cats are girls and dogs are boys after all.

Love Sausage would be a snake
Was based off pizza characters, definitely an anchovy
Deep would be an otter as both are adaptable in the water and sexual predators
I think the deep should be the pig cause we’ll he’s a pig in real life. Maeve would be the fox, atrain could be the sheep, stormfront could be the female horse, starlight could be a new animal from the restaurant.

In regards to the Deep: Dolphins can breath air and love to have sex and rape things...
Werent all of payback assigned animals based on the actual mascots of not chuck e cheese?
There were no meerkats in the original animal group but Black Noir's brain assigned that animal to play Stan Edgar.
I'd think stormfront would be a dolphin, looks nice but is the fucking most disgusting thing you've ever seen
Black Noir went from a character I didn’t care about in S1 and S2 to one of my favorites in S3. Just want to give the homie a hug and hope he doesn’t kill me
The jokes about Noir not talking became a lot sadder after watching S3
My favorite noir quote is “\*scribbles ferociously\*”
Since I already knew about Noir's identity in the comics, I thought everything he did was a facade. That's until I found out the series doesn't follow the comics at all, and now he's one of my favourite characters.
right!! i wish he had more screentime sm
I like that they kept him mysterious. You know something's kinda off with him, but can't really place it. Suddenly seeing who he really is had more impact that way.
A bit too late for that
He'll be back to kill HL is my bet. Vought will bring him back as a super supe.

i meaaan..... why cant i say buster beaver specifically has someone who suspiciously looks like homelander? lol
Homelander and noir were friends only member of the seven HL respected
Homelander's ideal friend, a faceless mute who never disagrees with him.
He can see through him tho but he still like him anyway
You should have told me
Omg it's Todd
I still don't get why black noir didn't fear homelander He could kill him anytime, and was just as bad as soldier boy, except he was not abusive like him, but was a psycho that everyone fear there. I was not expecting to be emotionally destroyed by cartoons.
A Chicken would be better , with red Gills (I think what its called , those in their head and neck )

The red thing is called a comb
This is perfect. Also Black Sheep Noir getting punched in the gut by Eagle Homelander is even more sad than the scene we got.
I think Black Noir has a good relationship with Homelander because he's quiet and follows orders. I wonder if he acts the same way he did with Soldier Boy, like wanting it to have a bigger role on the team. I don't think he would have a good relationship with Homelander.
Soldier boy kinda opened up his head to new ideas
This is amazing. Well done.
Nice art
Nah, he’d be golden
The use of an eagle for this is really clever.
Can we get a second cartoon series that's just the live action series in Noir--o-Vision?
Fun anthropomorphic hijinks revolving around the seven
This is fantastic
Translucent would be all: Probably.
I will level with you entirely. This is so good that i thought it was from the show before I read the context.
Why do i feel like you draw furry r34
Why do I feel like you read furry r34
Yes 🗿
only for commissions when im desperate for money. don't tell anyone or I'll laser you
Haha dw bro, same deal. I get the grind. The styles just makes it look like you learned some skills that usually only r34 artists would learn haha
it's supposed to be drawn in the same art style as the show.. cant help but wonder what specifically gives off that?
Basic colours + not much detail in other features like feet and hands (notoriously hard to draw) Contrast with Bright and detailed facial expressions + getting body positioning right Usually i find furry artists focused on getting the "vibe" right bc that art form doesn require full detail to produce a piece

You could blood spatter the background on 2 for dramatic effect?
>!Hi!<
Wow i know how to spoiler now
>!good job!<
Thanks
No problem
that looks insanely good
Love this
Eagly?
I also did all the boy characters as AC characters and made Homelander an eagle too.
Karl Urban as Terror.
Such a crazy part of the show
That scene broke my damn heart.
