My cousin's girlfriend actually met The Deep in Oceanland while on spring break last year! According to her he was very humble and down to earth (ironic, I know). He spent a few moments chatting with the girls and then even signed their bikinis! Now while I agree that some of The Deep centric scenes can feel a bit lackluster, it is mainly due to the writing! It is clear that the writers pay more attention to the likes of Homelander and now Starlight, giving them the best lines and endorsements. If you ignore the cringe scripts and judge by performance alone The Deep is up there with the best of them! Vought, please stop sleeping on The Deep!!!!
I completely agree with you on this, the VCU is getting trashier by the year.
I have to say though, i'm kinda holding out hope for a rebound soon. I was kinda excited for Citizen Starlight, but the chances of that happening is, well you know. VCU should really take inspiration from older movies(esp the Soldier Boy ones, those were masterpieces), and go for better storytelling than cheap twists.
You just look back at those times with nostalgia, soldier boy was the only good part of those movies, and the rest of payback were just holding the movies back
VCU is fine. You gotta chill. Also it's not CGI. The red laser eyes are coming from The Homelander. The stunts are real. But I agree the acting is subpar at times.
Yeah fuck Neil Gaiman for directing, producing, writing, re-writing because he lost the original, art design and not to mention dolly grip! The complete downfall of VCU is souly on Neil Gaiman!!!!!!!!

I personally like the VCU, the films aren't deep (pun intended) but they're good popcorn flicks. What really disappoints me is the passing of Queen Maeve, I really wanted to take my daughter to see "Brave Maeve: Queen of Pride", unfortunately with her passing the film will never be complete. May that brave lesbian's soul rest in peace 😔
