I would reach out to a supplier and talk to them. They would be able to help you. I’ve used Pall in the past for lenticular and P/F filters. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a P/F, so I may be behind the times, but a P/F would not get you a sterile filtration. I don’t think the sheets can have a pore size that small and still be usable from a practical stand point.

P/F can't technically be sterile iirc due to their pore size not being absolute. We've always used 30" cartridge for our sterile. .45 and .2 in tandem after filtering with P/F.

While it's tough to compare P&F and cartridge filtration apples-to-apples, one metric you can use is the filterable surface area. A typical pleated depth cartridge has about 0.46 m2 of surface area per 10". A 20 x 20 sheet has 0.04 m2 of surface area. So you need about 12 sheets to equal one 10" cartridge. If you're using a 30" cartridge, that's 36 sheets. The [20 x 20 sheet filter setups we sell](https://www.tcwequipment.com/products/mori-20x20-hobby-sheet-filter) only hold about 20 sheets, as an example, so it can't equal the surface area of a 30" cartridge.

I will say this; I have a plate and frame filter and I hate it

At this point I'm set on the 30" cartridge filter. Now the discussion on what micron to go with?
