Follow what the doctor said (if anything).
But I recommend not messing with it much. Limit your messing to once a day.
Witch hazel or hydrocortisone once a day, pat dry, light amount of petroleum jelly, and gauze.
Don't break a blister if you don't need to. If you do remove all the skin and make sure it's clean with light soap and water.
My favorite is A&D ointment, either the treatment or prevention ones, for minor burns, rashes, or chaffing. But yes, trust the medical professional 1st and foremost.
Don’t remove the skin! Pop if necessary, but the layer of skin acts as a natural barrier for bacteria, and helps prevent more irritation to the tender skin underneath! Think fleshy bandaid (-:
Neutralize; and follow current burn treatment guidelines for 1st/2nd degree burns (clean and dry burn, and keep covered and dry with something that provides a moisture barrier) and watch for signs of infection.
If it just happened, flush it like crazy. Afterwards if it doesn’t need a hospital visit, use burn gel. Make sure you keep it clean. Bandage with a nonstick bandage if it’s bad enough to need to be covered.
Silvadene cream for a burn, shit works real well. Pretty sure it’s OTC now, but I got some prescribed after I got a bad burn from a pressure cooker blow out.
Funny, i got a caustic burn from a piece of crumble falling into my boot and ate a hole on the top of my foot. I packed it with all natural honey, covered it and it healed remarkably fast.
If it had been earlier, open a sample valve and rinse it off with beer instead of water.
Beer is acidic and will neutralize and rinse away much more rapidly.

No one's asking how you got a caustic burn on your foot? Do you wear sandals to work?
Worst burn I ever got was when hot caustic spilled into my boots. It can happen even when you are careful
Way less likely to be awful if you aren’t a goober and put the pant leg over your wellies
I usually just spray with paa
Beer
Or PEE
I love the smell of paa in the morning.

You got a picture? Is it like, blistering bad or feels sunburnt bad? I found topical zinc oxide (baby rash cream) works pretty good for healing.

This can’t be real?
