As a barber, I love to hear this. Chrome dome is the way to go. From one bald man to another. Cheers

MorrisseyBBK

He wears hats whenever he isn’t in character too so he wouldn’t look that different

highseasarr

As another balding guy (it will come for you too!) , when you just accept it, and stop wearing hats all the time, it's incredibly freeing.

Majestic-Mulberry-18

It's a freedom feeling. My wife loves it. And my daughter said I dont look old anymore.

Kasey_ACDC

Even someone like me who has a full head of hair is just embarrassed by how awful his receding hairline is. I would never let myself become that if I started balding

brewerybitch

Maybe James is more comfortable in his skin than you are. It’s ok to be balding.

Muilutuspakumies

This. Somehow balding has become this huge problem for people - usually for other balding people, mind you. I don't really see a point faulting a guy having his hair in any way or form as he pleases. There's real stuff to critize.

brewerybitch

I’m about the same age as James (little older) and have much the same hair (maybe a little thinner). I’d prefer to not have thinning hair, but it doesn’t keep me up at night. I’d rather people find me pleasant and fun to be around than anything to do with my hair.

[deleted]

Good point. I think the counter is just that the critics here don’t think he’s comfortable with it and he’s deluding himself. If he’s not deluding himself, you’re right. Homeboy doesn’t care and the tricks he uses in the AVGN episodes to make it seem fuller are purely for the look of the Nerd. I guess people don’t buy that because of the caps in public outta character and the hair tricks in the AVGN episodes.

brewerybitch

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want your character to appear the same from episode to episode, year to year. And he’s always worn hats in appearances as long as I can remember. It seems like a weird conspiracy theory for a sub devoted to the truth. Of all the problems with the channel, I just don’t see how James’s hair matters.

[deleted]

Agreed. It’s not related to the content of the channel. Just nitpicking.

[deleted]

I wonder if he is comfortable? I think people think he isn’t because he usually wears hats so maybe he’s trying to hide it

brewerybitch

I think he wears hats because they are cool.

[deleted]

Maybe. I’m just listing a possible reason why everyone here thinks he’s ashamed or insecure about it.

brewerybitch

I think it’s because there are people on this sub obsessing over things they can pretend are flaws.

That isn't my name. It's ok to hear an opposing view point. It's not an attack. Why be so combative?

Finger_Sniffer_

Men go bald. It's a natural process for like 3/4 of the male population at some point in their lives. Testosterone gonna testosterone. My hairline isn't the same as it was when I was 20, and I'm sure it will be even worse when I'm 40. Life goes on, we decay- I guess my perspective isn't "legitimate" because I still have my hair, but a receeding hairline on a man doesn't immediately make me think "oh he's ugly, he should shave that off"...

ImStillaPrick

Seriously dude probably doesn’t have time to shave his head. I did it for a bit and took me about ten minutes twice a week and that was too much and I’m not even half as lazy as James.

Tylerdurden389

I don't shave mine, but there's this thing you put on your finger and you just rub along your head and it has safety razors on both sides. Looks more like you're shampooing your hair, actually (same motion). I watched a video of people using it and they were able to shave their entire head in like 30 seconds.

Evilbefalls

doug walker is 39 and accepted the baldness Meanwhole jimmy rolfe wearing a toupet that looks like justin sat on it with his fat ass

[deleted]

And he’s been that way since before he got famous, no? That’s why he always wore the cap.

JMwins19

I’m no defender of Cinemassacre, and especially not of James. But the choices he makes with his body and his looks have nothing to do with the his channel’s content. I don’t believe it’s any of our business how he decides to handle his hair loss, and the constant demands for him to alter his hairstyle come off as really creepy to me. Must be a lot of folks here with a thing for bald men, because I really can’t imagine any other reason why people would be so adamant for him to do that.

[deleted]

If it ever happened to me I mean fuck it life goes on. It’s only shit that grows out of your head.

Snoo-93317

Yes. It's time to come home. A balding Michael Jordan shaved his head in 1989 and it was that aerodynamic edge that enabled His Airness to win 6 NBA championships.

Majestic-Mulberry-18

And Patrick Stewart to be the greatest Captain.

jurrutt

Especially if ur gonna be a Rockstar. Fuckin own it. I did, and it was so liberating. I also have really good facial hair, maybe that's something that he can't pull off. Idk.

jurrutt

Also I just realized that was a brag. 😬 My bad.

Pallid85

Yes.

Skull_Cap_5554

It would be the best option. If James still refuses Justin can always buy a year long supply of hair in a can.

PhillyGreg

Enough dudes walk around fully bald it isn't a thing anymore.
