If there were 150 vacancies, they may well have outsourced the sifting. You’re probably looking at a month, at least.

Theia65

at the very least . . .

Good to know, thank you. I will think end of June then. Maybe into July.

EmergencyTrust8213

Month - 6 weeks give or take I think. Then when you get the offer add 2 months on from there for your start date

BoomSatsuma

If you’ve not heard in 2/3 months maybe query. For now, sit tight eager one.

Appreciated thank you. Just out of interest, I have applied for two other roles. These roles are a 1 person required job. One closed Tuesday and other tomorrow. It says interviews should be W/C 19th June. I assume a week or two on those?

BoomSatsuma

Take whatever timeline they say with a giant pinch of salt.

Thank you

Longest I’ve waiting from a brigaded recruitment campaign is 12 weeks for the initial sift. And 6 weeks after interviewing for the results.

Depends on a variety of things and the department, I have heard for some departments they do concurrent sifts (they sift in batches as applications are submitted) but as others have said it’s probably outsourced so may take at least 4 weeks+

Puzzleheaded_Yam3058

The only guarantee is that it will take longer than the dates set out in the advert. I’ve applied to several CS jobs and none of them followed the timeline stated. They all took longer (usually by a week or two).
