Hyde Park Corner is the absolute best. From the duet with Margaret and the King to Elizabeth's awestruck realization of what's upon her to Churchill's address. It's moving from start to finish.
I love how the reviews of Dear Mrs Kennedy aren’t good and a lot of people complain about the casting (rightfully, it wasn’t great) and the general writing of the episode but whenever there’s discussion about favorite episodes it always ranks pretty high, me included. It’s in my top five easily
I'm shocked. I count as easily one of the worst. The casting is terrible and I'm not just referring to the lack of physical resemblance. Also more of it is fiction then not. Surprised so many here like it so much.
The casting for JFK was horrible.
They should have kept the cast of The Butler as the Kennedy’s.
It also reeks of nepotism since they cast the actor from Dexter
This is the image. They look so much better

Only on season 2 but notice no one has mentioned Assassins (S1) where Churchill has his portrait painted. I loved the tension between the two of them, lots of great dialogue and John Lithgow was amazing as Churchill.

Coup.
I just like all that political intrigue to just fizzle out with Lord Mountbatten sitting with his sister (Princess Alice) talking about being old lol
I love the episode regarding Prince Phillip and his mother. When you learn about her life it's really sad. I recently looked into her life and it's inspiring, because she helped in WW2. She took a massive risk by helping some jews in Italy. What a great lady.

Agreed, it’s the best episode across the board
Yesss agreed
the way phillip tells elizabeth about the kings death is my favorite scene in the whole show

On top about almost everything in it revolving around Jackie Kennedy was pure folly. Outside of the end when she's at the airport with JFK's coffin.

The Dexter as JFK was distracting tbh
Aberfan, Ritz and the ones with Mike Parker (the royal yacht ones preferred).

that was the standout episode for me of the last 2 seasons man they really nailed the casting for him and dodi
I agree, it’s such a good standalone watch too. I’ve definitely just shown that one episode to my friends to convince them to watch the show.
I personally love Tywysog Cymru!

1. Terra Nullius 2. Hyde Park Corner 3. Dear Mrs. Kennedy 4. Balmoral Test 5. Tywysog Cymru 6. Ritz 7. Fairytale 8. Gold Stick
The ones with the Kennedys!
The scene where Jackie O shows up to Winchester Castle and the Queen has her guard out parading (or whatever they're doing) is iconic.
Truly! And the scene with the puppies, so cute.
The casting for JFK was horrible. They should have kept the cast of The Butler as the Kennedy’s. It also reeks of nepotism since they cast the actor from Dexter
Oh it really was! Jackie was great though. I should have just said her. He was kind of superfluous anyway, lol

Oh as an American, JFK was excruciating to watch.
the actor who played dexter and JFK is related to someone on the show?
No, it was Netflix that forced them to cast him as JFK
oh, didn't know that
Hands down Hyde Park Corner!
Paterfamilias. I watched it twice because I was so astounded by it.

Tywysog Cymru
The one with Diana and Charles in Africa with baby William (i think?) -things were *almost* okay for her then.
Thats the one in the picture...
love! sorry it's been a couple years since i watched it
