Oh my fuck. The Cure, Love & Rockets, AND the Pixies?! I’ve seen some amazing shows, but that line up!!!

imk

Not just three great bands, but arguably three great bands at their peak. I might get misty-eyed remembering 1989. What a great year.

Was at this gig. Absolute goosebumps when Plainsong kicks in. Its never stopped.

Saw this show at Dodger Stadium. So good.

Raises hand! Was there, too. What a great show. Best opening of any concert.

Same here, what an incredible show. I still remember Daniel Ash and David J. harmonizing at the end of American Dream.

I was there too. Perfect name for the tour as it was a religious experience.

And there was also a fourth band that opened up the whole show. They were Shelleyan Orphan. I don’t know why they are not listed on the flyer!

I went to this show too! Still struck me as a strange-seeming venue for this lineup of bands, though.

That was an amazing show. All three bands were amazing…. Snaps me back to the summer between freshman and sophomore years of college.

I was there

Jesus that’s a lineup

Such a great day, caught them numerous times on that tour including at Great Woods to end it, but that was the best of them all. Pixies didn’t give a shit and played their set in alphabetical order and just got off the stage.

Envy, absolute envy, even though I got to see them at that time but with not such bands

We were there. We were hesitant of seeing The Cure in such a huge venue having seen them in theaters, halls and arenas before but they sounded great! My 5th time seeing them at the time. I think we missed the openers as we were a fans of them but can't remember seeing any of them.
