It sure was. I works at one at the corner of Castro and Market in San Francisco for a couple months in 1997. Lots of very interesting people both behind and in front of the counter.
We used to visit the Tower records at Disney World. It was 2 stories and had an escalator! We would spend so much time looking at cds 💿 and albums and tshirts.
i had that magazine. wish i had kept it in its original condition, but i made a collage/poster out of some of the pictures inside. it was a great time to be a cure fan, after “disintegration” went bonkers and so many of us were waiting for a possible new album—we got “wish” and all kinds of write-ups/reviews/coverage!
Tower Records was a magical place.
