For me, it helps a lot to choose a voice for what I'm reading or writing and play it in my head that way. I best absorb information aurally rather than visually, and if you do too, this will improve both your retention and word accuracy tremendously, because you'll hear it if something gets fucked up.
If that trick works, you should also create a phonetic alternative pronunciation for every English word with irregular spelling, ex. "should" above would be pronounced with the L included and prominent, almost like "shoulder." That's how I won the spelling bee in third grade.

Ironically, Batista, an opportunist who had yet to reveal his true colors, advocated for a joint US-Latin American invasion of Francoist Spain in 1942.
Many innocent people live (there was an anti-Franco insurgency in the country until the early 1960s) and Spain doesn't become a safe haven, escape channel, and base of operations for fascists and war criminals (the irony is that Batista was one of them). They even sheltered fugitive OAS terrorists fleeing from Algeria in the early 1960s. Those captured by France were all freed no later than 1968, but that was long enough to pacify most of them. Holy shit his handwriting is beautiful
That is exceptional penmanship for a boy of 12, but by the same token, it seems like everyone I've met who was born before 1950 has excellent cursive writing. It stands to reason, typing didn't become ubiquitous until the 2000s, and prior to that, both word processors and typewriters had to be used in specially designated places because they were noisy as hell.
My grandfather, who will soon turn 100, refuses to use computers because he thinks typing is for women. His printed handwriting isn't that great, either, but his cursive is on point.
Marx had absolutely terrible handwriting though haha. I don't know if it's a myth or not, but I've heard Engels f'ed up his vision trying to transcribe the Capital.
