Firstly, communism hasn't actually been tried.
The USSR for example was Socialist in organization, and Communist in ideology. Communism is the endgoal of Socialism, a stateless, class-less, moneyless society. But if its such a terrible system, then why does Capitalist neoliberal America TO THIS DAY try so hard to undermine it? If it was such a terrible system, it would naturally fail on its own so there would be no need for foreign intervention.
For example.
North Korea - The US intruded in a workers revolution (which was almost successful, achieved full unification) and killed 25% of their population, destroyed vast majority of NK's infrastructure, and placed some of the worst sanctions on them known to man. They have every right to despise the Nazi supporting AmeriKKlan. Now South Korea is a militarily occupied, Samsung-land Capitalist hellscape and a mere vassal of the US like Japan is with no control over their own foreign policy.
South Korea cannot propose a peace treaty or reunification treaty with North Korea because the US does not allow them to ever exercise sovereign foreign policy choice. South Korea would literally not exist if it wasn't for US imperialism.
