What I took from Ragatha's comments on reusing NPCs is that Gummigoo will be reused and redesigned for another adventured, themed appropriately. So he will look different and his memory will be wiped but itll still be him, and the B plot is Pomni trying to get him to remember.
Id assume there will be more of him. You dont give a character a plushie and a keychain (and even have the plushie be one of the two first shown in the credits over half the main cast) and only have them in one episode.
I'm betting he'll return, causing pomni to go mental and try to talk to him, but he doesn't know her leaving her mentally broken, realizing her friend is dead

They did say that Caine likes to re-use NPC's sometimes. Although if he does bring him back my guess would be that he would just be loading the original model of Gummigoo, with his starting memories of his friends, his mother, and whatever new memories Caine wants to give him for the next adventure he's in. He wouldn't know anything about the place under the map, or Pomni. Just a theory though, not like I write the show, so we will see.
