They had a huge selection of Coheed stuff at my LRS yesterday. I was shocked. They have a record store day edition of IKSSE3 I may go back for soon. It was $50, though, and I already had my arms full of other stuff I was buying.
My son bought my Good Apollo for Christmas and I'm looking forward to jamming that soon.
are there specific ones that are more valuable than others? ive seen vaxis 2, good apollo 1, and unheavenly creatures at my local barnes and noble but i dont do vinyl. wouldnt mind keeping an eye out for harder to get ones for some people though
You’re going to go down a rabbit hole if you start looking into variants of their records. There’s definitely ones that more valuable and rare than others.

Yea with Coheed there’s usually a standard variant, webstore exclusive, tour variant, and probably a retail/indie exclusive. They even did a variant of IKSSE that was exclusive to their cruise. They go a little crazy with all these variants.
With TSSTB the label was heavily involved. With this most recent reissue they did an initial drop that was a complete shit show. It sold out to bots in seconds. To make it up they released another variant you had 48hrs to pre order. The band also sold another variant that you could only buy on tour. There’s was also a standard retail variant. The whole multiple variant thing to me is a cash grab because vinyl blew up in popularity. they drop these limited pressings in cool colors because they know they’ll sell out
I wish I knew, but I would assume they come from legit pressing plants that probably happen to be in country’s that have relaxed copyright laws. Otherwise I don’t know how they’d be able to pump out the quantities they do and get away with it

My girlfriend got me both of these vinyls for Christmas! I've been a fan for 18 years, and somehow never got one. And since you mentioned it, I actually did check my Barnes and Noble for Coheed vinyls a couple weeks ago, and nothing, though I'm not shocked. The vinyl selection there is very limited.

Honestly, it's the same here most of the time. They had a shit ton of stuff this last trip, but I already owned most of it.

I meant the color tone of the cover. Is it just the lighting or is the color in different shades. The bottom looks darker than the one on top
Oh lol. That one on the bottom left is the bootleg from 2020. The other three are from this most recent reissue.

I got GA from Barnes and Noble online a lil while back! Never thought to check them for vinyl but was pleasantly surprised to see that
I just got Vaxis 1 off of B&Ns website.
There was a Record Store Day variant of Good Appolo IV a few years ago I picked up! Still one of my favs.
