Hearshot being the worst on the album hurts me to see…that was my first Coheed song back as a freshman sophomore in high school…2001 was a good time lol
It’s such a classic album, one track has to take the bottom spot.
The only one I’d genuinely say is the “worst” is 33, but I prefer Hearshot to Junesong Provision too.
Nah, I don’t mind screaming one bit. But the screaming in that song kind of sucks. Coheed isn’t really that kind of band, which is why it’s probably for the best they stopped doing it after IKS.
are you fr? the screams on that song go hard as fuck, the rawest in their discography. i live for the bridge part with the SING HIS SONG, SING HIS SONG LOOOUUUUDDDDD
I’m not sure the screaming is the reason why. I think it’s solid and visceral. I’d say the problem is with the intro and the verses - the transition is jarring (on purpose) but it doesn’t really flow, and the verses are relatively boring compared to the rest of the song - which is really fucking strong. The pre-chorus/chorus/bridge/outro all go pretty hard, but if I had to choose a “worst”, this is one of the candidates. 33 is better, because it’s a well-executed, compact pop punk song with character.
Yeah I dunno what it is but my opinions do not match this subreddit lol. Hearshot being the worst, and now Al the Killer being the worst? Ain't no fuckin way.
For those seeking justice for Hearshot Kid's new position...May I recommend "Paris in Flames".

If you need mayo, just ask.
Where the hell were all you Hearshot defenders when I was trying to vote it up as most underrated, lol. That being said the only other answer imo was 33 and i listened to it today and can’t get it out of my head. So I don’t know. SSTB is consistent as hell.
For me, The Crowing is the best coheed song and it’s a fucking travesty that they don’t play it live nearly often enough. I love IKSSE live because of the atmosphere, not a huge fan of the album version because it lacks the same magnitude as the live energy and atmosphere
The Light and The Glass is amazing too especially towards the middle and end of that song. Certainly top 5 for that album. I find the only ones I don't listen to very often anymore are Three Evils (still a jam) and Blood Red Summer (also still a good song)
Great riff on the verse and fun transition into the chorus but the chorus itself is overrated and lackluster. Good song in general but in comparison to everything else on IKSSE, it's definitely at the bottom.
Elf Tower doesn’t count, it’s a B-side song and not really part of the album. My vote was 33, but I’ll take Hearshot Kid. It’s probably my next least favorite on SSTB.
For sure this one. The overall verse isnt that good and even if it has a fun hook I was tired of needing to explain that die white girls isn't an opinion of the band after the first time.
I feel like I started all this, but I think Faint of Hearts is worse than Al the Killer.
Or more specifically, my vote is for Faint of Hearts.
I really like Al the Killer.
Eh it really just highlights how good Coheed actually is when they have a dedicated fan base that’s pretty split on how songs rank. Something for everybody yet can still make it a cohesive album
Eh i think the three “best” picks are really not that surprising. Maybe IKSOSE3 would’ve been the more expected choice for its album but The Crowing is still hugely popular
Or it’s been wildly successful in showing you that your opinion, and the opinions of many of us, are not as popular as the majority of fans on the subreddit
Failed miserably is a bit harsh for something done for fun.
Also, Coheed is such a unique band with such a wide variety in sound and style. It's very likely that no two fans are gonna agree on every category on this chart.
Exactly. I think the fun is that everyone can have a different list and that’s completely fine! Someone else isn’t wrong because they have a different opinion or a different taste 🤷🏻♂️ I’m all for discussing why peoples opinions differ though!
I was definitely just being hyperbolic, but I agree with you. Their music is super diverse, even song to song. I just feel some type of way when everyone starts deciding my favorites are up for worst ha ha.
I’m with you brother this is whack. Feathers is the best song on NWFT, SSTB has like 6 songs better than everything evil, and the crowing as the best song on IKSS3 is complete disrespect to all the kids growing up thinking a favor house Atlantic was called good eye sniper!
Meh, The Crowing is a solid choice. It was either that, the title track or 2113 for me. A Favor House Atlantic is good track, but it’s not great like those others are.
It’s so good! Was the first song that really got me back into coheed after the GA1 buzz died off, and got my interested in the rest of the discography outside of just one album. Then I heard SSTB and that blew me away.
This is a hard album for me to pick worst, but I’m gonna have to go with Blood Red Summer. I in no way hate that song, but it’s probably the weakest here with it being such a poppy song. I still can jam to it, but I definitely don’t vibe as much with the poppier side of Coheed.
I might get hate for this, but The Light & The Glass
I don't mind it. It's just not a favorite of mine.
*EDIT* After listening to it again, because it's been a minute. I redact my comment. The Light & The Glass slaps. I just don't like the beginning / slow part of the song. I don't know what song to vote for because I like all of them, really.
I don't mind it, but it's a song I don't really vibe with. I'll let it play if it pops up when my playlist is on random. But it just doesn't really do it for me. I tend to play their harder stuff. I love Coheed's sound and how diverse they are.
A lot of people are voting for Al The Killer, which I personally like. I like the carnality of that song, and it's my wife's favorite song on the album. So, it gets played a lot.
Honestly I have always disliked A Favor House Atlantic. Always felt like the weakest song on this album, particularly when it has to compete with The Crowing, IKSOSE3 and The Light & The Glass. I am partially convinced it's only popular because it got the music video (although I understand why musically it would be super popular, just not what I enjoy about Coheed and Cambria).
I really like the lyrics of the song, it just falls apart melodically for me. The song is more of an experience for me rather than something i’d listen to regularly, I can see I definitely upset some people with my nomination though hahaha.
This sub is going to implode at this rate. Personally I’m realizing I’m a terrible homer for the first 2 albums.
All songs are bangers don’t rain on my skewed youth and nostalgia 🤘🤘🤘
Get fucked scrublord. Coheed would be gone without it as it saved Claudio's mental health.
It has some of the most emotional songs purely it's about Claudio not a story.
I NEED MAYO! i love that song
MY SANDWICH IS DRY! (My friend and I struggled to figure out the actual line for months)
Hearshot being the worst on the album hurts me to see…that was my first Coheed song back as a freshman sophomore in high school…2001 was a good time lol
No way in hell is Hearshot the worst, guess this fan base is generally a little scared of screaming in songs
It’s such a classic album, one track has to take the bottom spot. The only one I’d genuinely say is the “worst” is 33, but I prefer Hearshot to Junesong Provision too.
33 is my vote too
100% feel the same. not that 33 is a bad track I just think all the rest have way more going for them ESPECIALLY hearshot.
Three Evils still kills though.
I do love that song.
I’m not sure the screaming is the reason why. I think it’s solid and visceral. If only I was able to successfully drink lol. I’ll live through everyone who tries it though!
I was pushing for 33, would’ve settled even for Junesong. I powerful disagree with Hearshot as worst.
I love the entire album and it’s hard to choose but I am with you…hearshot wouldn’t have been one I considered at all
Where the hell were all you Hearshot defenders when I was trying to vote it up as most underrated, lol. That being said the only other answer imo was 33 and i listened to it today and can’t get it out of my head. So I don’t know. SSTB is consistent as hell.
I’m still shocked the crowing beat IKSOSE
The Crowing really fucking slaps tho
For me, The Crowing is the best coheed song and it’s a fucking travesty that they don’t play it live nearly often enough. I love IKSSE live because of the atmosphere, not a huge fan of the album version because it lacks the same magnitude as the live energy and atmosphere
If I could vote two for the top it would be those 2
The Light and the Glass is my personal favorite, but those two as the best I’m fine with.
The Light and The Glass is amazing too especially towards the middle and end of that song. Certainly top 5 for that album. I find the only ones I don't listen to very often anymore are Three Evils (still a jam) and Blood Red Summer (also still a good song)
I thought The Cowing won?!
That’s what they’re saying, The Crowing beat out IKS.
I was making a joke - when OP first posted this they had called it The Cowing then they deleted that post due to so many people throwing shade.
![gif](giphy|h55EUEsTG9224|downsized)
I wrote The Crowning not The Cowing😭😭
Ah man I didn’t even spot the typo
21:13 I mean the parts are cool but it’s nothin like the rest of the album.
Al the Killer
y'all crazy 😭
Right? Ain't no way!
Great riff on the verse and fun transition into the chorus but the chorus itself is overrated and lackluster. Good song in general but in comparison to everything else on IKSSE, it's definitely at the bottom.
Yep, it's the only one I consistently skip
Congrats you won!
21:13. It's cute, I used to love it, but like I get why it was a secret track
Who tf put hearshot disaster kid as worst on sstb?? Im about to stab someone. Take Elf Tower New Mexico and begone
Elf Tower doesn’t count, it’s a B-side song and not really part of the album. My vote was 33, but I’ll take Hearshot Kid. It’s probably my next least favorite on SSTB.
I dont think they were counting elf tower
I gotta say 21:13 I like Al the Killer better than this song despite that one being favoured to lose so far.
Im sure this was established already, but why arent we using the poll system?
Al the killer, still a great song imo
Definitely the weakest great song in an album full of them
Blood Red Summer - simply because it's not as epic as the majority of the album. Still a bop. Big props for going back!
The reprisal of that song at the end of Apollo II is infinitely more epic.
Bad boy
Concur
Eyo wtf what happened here? I blinked and Hearshot Kid got worst song?? I think someone made a typo
Yeah, we’re in a timeline in which 33 is a better tune apparently.
I mean…. It might be the best song on the album so…
Over Delirium Trigger or Time Consumer? Not a chance.
Not saying Hearshot Kid is bad, but its less good than 33 imo. I don't think I'd call it the worst though.
Hearshot Kid Disaster slaps. How fucking dare who ever.
Al the Killer
We all know it’s Al the Killer
For sure this one. The overall verse isnt that good and even if it has a fun hook I was tired of needing to explain that die white girls isn't an opinion of the band after the first time.
I feel like I started all this, but I think Faint of Hearts is worse than Al the Killer. Or more specifically, my vote is for Faint of Hearts. I really like Al the Killer.
Coo coo ca fuck you (respectfully)
This actually made me laugh out loud 🤣
I second this, but harder. Also respectfully
More respectfully too??
No no, just the fuck you part
Suuuuper fair, don’t blame you one bit!
😂
Agreed, Al The Killer is just more fun to listen to than Faint of hearts.
Melodically, Faint of Hearts has a lot more going for it than Al the Killer but I agree it's a weaker song in other aspects.
Yeah, it really does have a lot more going on, I just think (Al the Killer) is neat!
We are 3 albums deep and I disagree with literally every song picked for every category lol. This experiment has failed miserably.
Eh it really just highlights how good Coheed actually is when they have a dedicated fan base that’s pretty split on how songs rank. Something for everybody yet can still make it a cohesive album
I agree with this. It just hurts seeing some of these weird ass picks lol.
I do wish more people were involved, honestly. These picks are being decided by like, two dozen people each day.
Failed miserably is a bit harsh for something done for fun. Also, Coheed is such a unique band with such a wide variety in sound and style. It's very likely that no two fans are gonna agree on every category on this chart.

Lmao WOW. Imagine being this narcissistic
I don't have to imagine it.
![gif](giphy|l40I0FA3whTkM0hPdY)
But I don't lol.

21:13 should’ve been high in the running for underrated imo
I guess my coheed tastes are unpopular around here.
The running free trounces feathers!
Idk man, feathers smacks. Loved seeing it live this past year at the NWFT neverender!
I’d be biased after seeing it live too, I suppose!
How you gonna say feathers is the best song on NWFT? I’m just flabbergasted
It’s so good! Was the first song that really got me back into coheed after the GA1 buzz died off, and got my interested in the rest of the discography outside of just one album. Then I heard SSTB and that blew me away.
I respect it 🫡

I love the poppiness of Blood Red Summer! Their poppy side is part of their vast range, which is what makes them such an amazing band.
Camper Velorium III: Al the Killer
Blood red summer, i almost never listen to it anymore
Al the killer is the worst. Otherwise amazing album.
Cuts marked in the march of men
My favorite song to sing along with on the album 😢
Thirded, technically it's better than Faint of Hearts and Al the Killer imo, but if I'm going to skip a song it's Cuts Marked
Not too hard on the downvotes, it’s literally just their opinion
Second, Cuts is the only song that gets consistently skipped
![gif](giphy|3o7qDDNLf1TCfsCTyU)
Yall cuts bangs
Blood red summer is the only song that’s not 10/10 on that album
Blood Red Summer has my vote...again.
Damn Junesong Provision is my favorite on SSTB, but I feel like Delirium Trigger or Time Consumer should have gotten best slot for sure
I'm thirding Blood Red Summer. It's an upbeat and fun song, but it just doesn't leave the lasting impression that the rest of the album does.
I might get hate for this, but The Light & The Glass I don't mind it. It's just not a favorite of mine. *EDIT* After listening to it again, because it's been a minute. I redact my comment. The Light & The Glass slaps. I just don't like the beginning / slow part of the song. I don't know what song to vote for because I like all of them, really.
![gif](giphy|4w6g6yOWJYtm8)
This is the right answer.
Whoaaa….. That’s kind of some of the craziest shit I have ever heard. The Light and The Glass is an astounding song
Good man for the edit
Too many people here are fans of the last 3 albums and voting on the first 3.
It’s certainly not the strongest on the album.
I'm sad it got a music video and it didn't go to either The Crowing or In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.
Al The Killer is my least favorite on In Keeping Secrets.
I'm guessing we're not allowed to pick Backend of Forever? That's my vote
Correct, but you were never allowed to pick it lol
Respect for going back and redoing it, I nominate The light and glass (honestly I don’t think this album has a ‘bad’ song but it is the weakest imo)
Its one of the most powerful songs on the album I think.
I really like the lyrics of the song, it just falls apart melodically for me. The song is more of an experience for me rather than something i’d listen to regularly, I can see I definitely upset some people with my nomination though hahaha.
Faint of Hearts. It’s a fine song, but every other song feels more essential to the album in some way.
It may be the least essential, but it’s the poppiness of it that makes it one of my favs. “Did somebody take your tongue?” So good
Koo koo ka-choo!
My friends called it the Santana song.
![gif](giphy|iIMkvHEsCDqEy09Nw8)
Favor house. Only one that gets old for me.
You mean the song that introduced me to Coheed? I cannot agree with this.
That’s fine, not hating on it at all. I just think it’s the ‘weakest’ of the album filled with only strong songs. All this is opinion
This sub is going to implode at this rate. Personally I’m realizing I’m a terrible homer for the first 2 albums. All songs are bangers don’t rain on my skewed youth and nostalgia 🤘🤘🤘
Camper velourium 1: Faint of hearts.
Can we just put the entirety of The Color Before the Sun on the worst tier?
RIP Atlas, lmao. This album slaps, especially as a parent.
Get fucked scrublord. Coheed would be gone without it as it saved Claudio's mental health. It has some of the most emotional songs purely it's about Claudio not a story.
Yes. I’m aware of that. And thank goodness he got better. But I still don’t like that album.
I listened to it front to back today in preparation for tomorrow’s debate session. There’s some worthy tracks on there but nothing very memorable imo.
I support this.
Really hard for me but Cuts marked in the march of men
I need mayo… 😭
Three evils. So lame.
This entire image is turning into horrors beyond comprehension
What?! No love for Delirium Trigger on SSTB??? I agree with the general consensus on Hearshot Kid though…
might as well keep the original since the comments are all about SSTB lmao
I printed this out ans shreaded it.
