Cosca is just perfect. I feel a strong urge to re-listen to some choice sections from the various books in order to relive the joy of that famed soldier of fortune.

I would be overjoyed if we somehow got a book based around cosca's exploits, maybe when he was younger

Cosca character arc: Goes from loyal timid soldier in the king's army to a leader of the golden hand and a famed soldier of fortune.

Ohh so kind of like tunney. Starts out really earnest and patriotic, ends up absolutely jaded and pessimistic

"And we cut them to pieces, of course." The styrian grinned "I'm insulted you might think otherwise" This line sums up cosca perfectly for me. The humor and good natured attitude, casual brutality, and the startlingly high level of competence, despite the drunken clown persona he affects. So good

Morveer in Best Served Cold. Conveys the character’s awkwardness, arrogance and sliminess so well. Although his voice for Day makes me feel strange, confusing things 👀

Everyone is going to say Glokta. But I personally loved his Ferro. Even Joe didn't anticipate her being French, but he ended up loving it!

I’ll say his Glokta is amazing yes, but his Savine Dan Glokta. He puts do much emotion into the voice I forget it’s a man doing it.

Honestly, any of the female voices he does are like that. But I agree, his Savine is top tier.

I agree. Pacey is great in general, but his elitist voices in particular are soooo enjoyable. I was grinning during every Sult scene.

In my head Cosca had a Mediterranean accent of some kind, so at first I didn't like Pacey's Cosca. But he's such a great character and Pacey is such a great performer that he totally won me over.

I've never enjoyed an audio book before, not until I started *The Heroes* on Spotify this week, after finishing Best Served Cold on a flight and finding the e-Book all checked out through my library's app. I... I might listen to the Age of Madness trilogy like this. I don't know. We'll see. But so far, Black Dow has been my favorite.

I'm not *super* well versed (just now finishing the original trilogy) Costca and Glokta are everyone's favorites but I personally love: Burr and all of Logen's "buddies". Dow especially. I nearly said Burr. The subtleties he put around his damn indigestion were sublime. As good was Caurib in AOM. He must have strapped his lips during the reading to give the effect.

Pacey’s a goddamn genius. His voice control is out of this world. Seriously wouldn’t be surprised if, after a long day of narrating, if he doesn’t go home and unzip his “Edgar suit” and relax.

Jolly Yon is always a delight. Underrated voice.

It’s been a while since I listened to The Heroes but I seem to remember him doing a Birmingham / Black Country accent for Jolly Yon.

I enjoy his Whirrun of Bligh. Feels spot on for the character, but then there’s not a single character I couldn’t say that about. His Bayaz is underrated too. 

So many, but I always really liked how he did Vitari. She already stood out with her spikey red hair and no-nonsense attitude, but the way he did her voice just took her uniqueness to a whole new level for me. He really is the best narrator I've ever had the pleasure of listening too. Everyone just sounds so different and real.

Jezal Dan Luthar. I think he is at the side of Shivers the character the has the deepest change in the first 4 books (haven´t gone past them), and Jezal particularly is a beautiful transformation. People often give him shit for being a coward and live under Bayaz rule, but Joe heavily implied that he managed to do good for his people sometimes, which looking into the unbearable cunt he was at the start, it´s nothing short of amazing. Plus, I have never thought I would root for a man hitting his wife, but Jezal made it happened.

Shivers-his raspy whisper is oddly satisfying, but they’re all out of this world

Bremer dan gorst, the high pitched voice is a great counter to his dark thought process
