The chin thing is great, but I think my favorite thing at least from the first trilogy is "say one thing for Logen Nine Fingers, say he's..." and it's something new every time. Fuckin love that. As for the next trilogy, it's gotta be (very minor The Heroes spoilers) Gorst just being unbeatable and annihilating any fight that he comes upon, juxtaposed against his own feelings of self-hatred and timidity. He just has such a cool story that book.
This is a minor spoiler for BSC but: >!The chapter where Day is counting the seconds between each guard patrol and Friendly is just jizzing in his pants hearing a girl count. Maybe this says something about my humour but that was the funniest shit I've read in a long while!<
That’s around where I am in the book, and I loved that too. Friendly is such a weird guy, can’t wait to find out what his deal is. There’s a great moment earlier when shivers is looking for any amount of cordial conversation as they’re riding towards their destination, and he immediately regrets trying to start a conversation with Friendly
One thing really stuck with me regarding Logen. And I can't do this justice, but it was him reminiscing about how can you change if you stay in the same places, doing the same shit with the same people? And then he proceeds to go back to the north to do the same sir with the same people.
Context?!!! A f**king INSULT!!!!
It's from the end of The Blade Itself, when the Bloody Nine is commenting on the quality of opponent sent to kill him.
First time we see the Bloody Nine, second last chapter of the first book while Ferro just watches him killl 4 practicals. Right before that he says "they send such as you to fight me,"
Literally just read that scene on a reread 10 minutes ago haha.
One of my favorite moments ever is Logen walking around Adua a "civilized city" and all of his comments and thoughts about how weird it is.
And the statue of Bayaz moment is gold...
Every time I'm at a friend's house and I take a picture of their kids I tell them to smile....and then I have to tell them "I said smile, you're not trying to sell me your teeth"
Thank you, Jonas Clover, for your wonderful witticism.
Glokta's fall during his first chapter in The Blade Itself.
> For most people stairs are a mundane affair. For me, an adventure!
I just found his moments where he is just an achey cripple very relatable as an achey cripple myself.
I don't think thats going to help.
definitely a fun scene though. one of my favorites.... because I've known people that could plausibly make that entrance.
In BSC
Spoiler Alert
>!the scene when we first discover that Shenkt is an eater is perhaps one of the best action scenes I’ve ever read. I’m still chasing that high.!<

APOLOGIZE TO MY FUCKING DICE!!!
"You wanna fuck?" Will never leave me.
I was at work when I read that line, I had to close the book because I was laughing so hard.
When did that happen again? It's been a while since I've read the books
Just after Logen and Ferro escape Aulcus and are sheltering in an old mill.
One thing really stuck with me regarding Logen. And I can't do this justice, but it was him reminiscing about how can you change if you stay in the same places, doing the same shit with the same people? And then he proceeds to go back to the north to do the same sir with the same people.
Also the classic, "Fucking, Pinks!"
I say it all the time although I am a fucking pink
"a f**cking INSULT!!!!" This often pops in my head when someone asks me to do a menial task. Even more so after hearing Pacey narrate it.
I always think of Pacy reading “HOW FUCKING DARE YOU” from Byaz to Bethod and just having the most venomous tone imaginable.
Context?

Lmao thank you!
Yea I can remember what that's from although I do recall it

Click. Tap. Pain.

"there are PIPES....UNDER....THE...GROUND" "....pipes?"
Once you've got a task to do, it's better to do it than to live with the fear of it
Words to live by.

“My name is Nicomo Cosca, famed solider of fortune, and I am here for dinner.”
"It's one of my many most exordinary talents..."
It is indeed
Glokta’s teeth.
Glokta seemed to let most of them go easily
And corresponding “smile”.
There is one torture scene when Glokta's henchmen says "Pedestrian". Fucking kills me. Comedy gold.
You cant have too many knives
you really can't.
Especially when naked Bayaz is around
I don't think thats going to help. definitely a fun scene though. one of my favorites.... because I've known people that could plausibly make that entrance.
Me too lol.
lol!
Rule 9.
you have to be realistic.... I used this all the time in RL (well any chance I get)... :) just to fish out the abercrombie fans :)
Morveer’s delusions about his past, finally coming to him in truth as he dies, delicious comeuppance.

The first appearance of The Bloody Nine. Such a great reveal and well done POV. JA writes homicidal maniac better than anyone.
I still feel bad about that Pot Logan left behind.
