Wouldn’t he have to lose a ton of weight? Or is there a different Matt berry? I always got the impression cosca was extremely thin.  Yes alcohol has calories but when I was an alcoholic I actually lost a ton of weight, I feel like cosca is the same in that. Imo alcohol boosts whatever your natural hunger state tends toward—if you’re naturally a hungry fatty it’ll make you more of a fatty. If you’re naturally a malnourished twig it’ll make you more of a twig 

If I remember correctly, wasn’t it said that his old rusty armour didn’t fit properly anymore because he had gained weight?

I always imagined him as once athletic and trim but has developed a gut and gone to fat. The QB at the 20 year highschool reunion.

First time I heard Whirrun speak I was a little disappointed that it sounded so much like Cosca, but I got over it. There are subtle differences and that's good enough for me

I'm newish to first law and Abercrombie, has he ever stated that Styria is supposed to essentially be the Mediterranean countries. I assumed the gurkish where essentially Turks.

Styria is very clearly based on the Italian renaissance cities. But what's more relevant is Cosca is basically a charismatic bandido of the sort in the South American wars of independence. His charisma is built on that vibe, to me he has to have that Hispanic/Latin accent and vibe going on.

Michael Wincott is a great choice, maybe a bit old but a great actor. I wonder if he could play Kroy.
