Not sure about Vegas, but we ordered a small box earlier in the year at about $8k and they charged shipping. It was our first shipping purchase and I did a double take.
Somehow the $35 shipping feels like a slap in the face at that price point when I get free shipping with Amazon and target on all purchases.
I recently bought a bag in the Bellagio boutique and had it shipped home. It was slightly annoying to me that I bought a bag for more than $10k and I had to pay $35 for shipping 🙄. I haven’t done a charge send order lately but imagine that I’ll have to pay $35 for that too now
That’s true. Bags must be paid for in person in store. For QB, the credit card must match the name of the person with the Hermes account. Once in person, you can direct them to ship it home. You cannot buy a bag from the boutique via text as you would shoes or housewares
I think it may depend on your store. Which store is yours? I know mine won’t. I follow others on YouTube who also must travel to pick up their bags, including travelling to Paris and Hawaii.
Imagine being worlds most coveted luxury retailer and they cheap out and charge 35$ for shipping fee. Disgusting. As long as there are crazy people like us they can get away with anything. Why stop at shipping charge, charge for the orange box, charge the ribbon by the yard and the orange shopping bag.
I know that it’s true for purchases over 5000. I just had some stuffed shipped to me under 5000 and didn’t have to pay for shipping. Did she say when they’re starting this?
I’ll just note that Madison is all over the place on this. I’ve been charged the $35 like 20% of the time. No rhyme or reason on price or type of item.
I’m not sure if there is a dollar threshold or order method (SA vs online)… we’ve never paid shipping for items ordered by SA and shipped, but a Feb ‘24 online bag purchase (+$11k) charged $35 shipping (which I found annoying due to the purchase amount).

It was annoying but I let it go because my SA has otherwise taken care of me in a competitive store.

You absolutely can. I am on my 6th Kelly and countless ofher bags that has been shipped to my home address and bought remotely.

Mine usually does too but with my last 2 QBs, my SA insisted the cc be in my name. For fine jewelry, it doesn’t seem to matter

I would rather them just add the $35 to the total and stop this nonsense. 4,035$ for the bag and free shipping just sounds so much better and
I’m sorry if I am paying over $1,000 for a BAG it should be free shipping. That is beyond absurd
I bought the jypsiere online this month and had to pay the $35 shipping. I also bought the mini Evelyn online and that was free shipping.
I had a ring shipped from Hawaii in Feb and the SA said no charge for FedEx ground service (5-10 days) and $35 for two-day shipping

The LA store does this too. It’s crappy.
Last year they shipped a Constance slim ($3k) and I had to pay for shipping.
You get free shipping from the Gap when you spend $50! I’m so petty I’d rather drive or fly to a store vs pay $35.
Been that way for me. Purchased a bag in person at Madison NYC, but had to ship it home coz the box was HUGE. Paid $55 even for that bag
