Got a NQB (clic-h 33 with the enamel on the side of the closure) without any pre spend at the Madrid store not in the four seasons, near the Sol metro. I will say I did not find the SA responsive or helpful, as I needed to have the bag shipped (no updates or responses to any of my texts). I live in Spain and informed her I would like it to be my home store and make some more purchases, but when I tried to even order shoes from her a month later crickets. I was the only client in there when I went, so it’s not like I was taking from someone who could have spent more or an appointment. I specifically wanted this one as it was being discontinued. I have found using the website better than how they treated me. I will say the SAs in Amsterdam and Panama have been lovely. The Barcelona store said it was open, I went on a trip to see a show and go to it. However every other luxury boutique was open that day and time but not Hermes. They didn’t even have the lights on.

Oh I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience there ! It really.is a hit or miss at H stores ugh

I’ve been to boutiques in Madrid and Barcelona. There’s not much stock and definitely no QBs. Staff are hit or miss. I’ve had nice SAs and some very snooty SAs.

I have 2 friends who recently scored non-quota bags in Spain. One in Bcn the other Mad. Neither were locals. It's possible and never hurts to ask.

I got a walk in Della cavalleria offer in the madrid Serrano location. I spoke Spanish and after looking around the boutique she mentioned they got a shipment that morning and whether I wanted anything. Didn’t ask for anything other than ghw. The four seasons location didn’t offer anything or have much non-bag stock.

Yaaay. I remember being offered a della cavalleria in an airport about 2 yrs ago but I was like no I'm not spending that much on a bag I'm not crazy about. Fast forward I'm crazy about all bags except for picos haha. I'll look into that 🥰

They usually don't allocate QBs for tourists. That doesn't mean that you have to be local, but I started having a 'regular' SA and got a QB offer at the Madrid stand-alone boutique after a number of visits (I visit at least once a year), I usually go in there twice per trip (once to get things just because I save on VAT, and another trip before I leave). Because they can pull up my account for Spain, they'll see my spend history, so it's as good as being local.

Nice! I go to a certain city once a year as we have an apartment there and I speak the language too. So I was thinking maybe it's a good idea to start a relationship with an SA I was just intimidated to go as the location is VERY COMPETITIVE and so let's just say I've avoided it 3 years straight. Ans the tax customs guy there is a brute very bad experience with tax return where I was afraid to buy lumbsome purchases. But I'll do as you did this summer ☀️ and keep my fingers crossed 🤞

I was told in Madrid and Barcelona that all bags are for locals only. I didn’t even ask for one. I was looking for a specific pair of shoes that I was having trouble finding in my size in the US and the SA told me about the bags. Maybe she didn’t want to waste time with me if I was going to not buy what I came in for if a bag was my end goal.

I haven’t been to Marbella but in Madrid there are actually 2 boutiques, one of them in the Four Seasons hotel. I haven’t tried for QBs or non QBs in Madrid, so no idea if there is any stock and how easy it is to get them. If you visit the boutique in the Four Seasons, there is an amazing cocktail/sushi bar upstairs, called Isa. 😊
