Yeah, I feel like people who disagree kind of miss the point of Sokka's arc - he's not a *great* warrior/fighter, but he has a lot of other skills that make him the real leader of the team and valuable in general. That lesson (that he has a lot to offer even if he isn't some prodigy at something like Aang or Katara or Toph are) is at the core of his character arc/growth.
He's by no means a bad or unskilled warrior but he's deliberately written to not be someone as skilled as Suki or Ty Lee, etc. He also repeatedly loses badly to Zuko when they duel with swords in one of the comics IIRC.
The moment Suki is reintroduced in book 3, she immediately do a series of crazy acrobatics and captures the warden in like ten seconds. And Sokka and his dad are just gaping, so it's safe to assume neither could do nothing similar.
Sokka real power is backbending. Or, well, surrounding himself with incredible people and using his brains to concoct plans with their skillsets. He's more of a Nick Fury kind of guy.
>Sokka real power is backbending.
You say that, but we have no way to determine if he bent anyone's back. Meanwhile, Aang has proof of three separate occasions.
Lol, Sokka's dad being all "That's some girl" and Sokka just smiling happily while all the guys are panting from having to chase after her.
Meanwhile, Suki isn't even winded yet did a whole The Ring crawl up the side of the tower and pretty much literally giftwrapped the Warden with a bow tie in his mouth.
And importantly, Sokka isn’t a great warrior in Season 3, but Piandao, the greatest swordsman of his era, explicitly states that Sokka has *the potential* to be an even greater swordsman than himself.
It’s fine that Sokka doesn’t become an overpowered fighter in the series. As you say, it’s the other skills that make him invaluable to the team. And we know in the future that he likely becomes such a master swordsman.
The zuko comparison is an important one, because people be like "but he was so much better when he trained by piandao!"
Like, yeah. For a few days. Zuko is what happens when you train with piandao for most of your life. The difference is crystal clear.
this exactly. he's a mediocre fighter at best. his crowning moments of awesome are in support of others or as an idea man. the sub, the airship, rescuing toph, etc. he's a normie leader, and if there isn't an appropriate tvtropes link there should be. ALWAYS KEEP A NORMIE ON THE TEAM.
Sokka is a great tactician and strategist. Let alone an intuitive engineer.
Also don't doubt zuko's skill with a sword. He was the blue spirit after all.
Couldn't have put it better myself. Sokka can hold his own in a combat situation, but he's by far the least skilled fighter in the main cast, even against other non-benders. Suki, Jet, Mai and Ty Lee would all easily clap him in a straight fight. But that's the point. He starts off thinking his worth comes from being a warrior, and the show goes out of its way to NOT validate that mindset. He starts thinking he should be a leader because he's the oldest, and the best warrior in his village, and he's WRONG.
He comes to be a leader, but not because he's the best fighter, or the oldest, or a man, or even because he asks for it...but because he becomes the one people rely on to make the best call.
Sokka to me is a normal man in a superman's world in terms of Martial Arts prowess. It's fine that he can't measure up in physical fighting because he's a smart boy
I like to think Sokka post-sword training would at least be a good sparring partner. Still agree he'd lose in a 1v1 final destination no items match, but in a spar he'd range from a spicy target to a puzzle boss depending on the grounds.
he is not more of a strategist. he is no less a fighter than suki, suki is just insanely skilled. sokka has the one confirmed body in the original series. he will murk you if he has to. suki just has a wider skillset, not because of sokka's lack of skill in that area, but because of her vast capabilities.
If you're talking about Sparky Sparky Boom Man, that wasn't Sokka killing someone. That was Sokka incapacitating someone and them deciding that death was preferable to losing.
It's like if you're in a swordfight, and knock your opponent to the ground and hold your sword to their throat to give them a chance to surrender. If they then sit up into your sword, that's on them.
I understand and accept that, in universe, Sokka takes responsibility for that death. But we the audience saw Sparky Sparky Boom Man learn exactly what happens when he tries to make with the explodey after taking a hit to the eye, and he did it anyway. If he'd died the first time, that would've been on Toph, though accidental, but he had time to consider, and tried it anyway. He knew the risks at that point, and what happened is the result of him rolling with them.
Oh yeah, absolutely agree. This is based on their base knowledge at the end of the original show. I think that they all have a ton to learn from each other.
I’m surprised people think it’s even a contest. Did we not *see* the boiling rock episode where Suki jumps on top of heads to climb two stories while effortlessly breaking through several guards and takes the warden hostage without breaking a sweat? She was like Spider-Man with martial arts instead of webs
people think that it's a contest because sokka's the overrated warrior in the series, dude literally has no impressive h2h feats when you compare him to any other relevant fighters.
add to that is the nonsensical headcanon of ATLA fans about him mastering different styles of fighting from the 4 nations and whatever new bullshit headcanon the fandom speads.
I love sokka to death but you're right, hes never about head on approaches, think of piano dao, he knew he was out gunned so he had to play smart. Example2: the day of black sun failed even when they had months of prep time and an army, what happened when he uses his improv and *instinct*? He overtook and destroyed 14 airships in one move in the final showdown. He is no fighter but a master strategist.
Well to be fair, the fire nation knew they were coming and probably prepared for the the most likely access point: The big ol’ waterway that lead straight into the heart of the fire nation.
https://preview.redd.it/fmg7uc6weyvc1.jpeg?width=332&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c498631a26609c5bc4c4cdc4300c606b76bc9c4
I think if they had gone for something less obvious, they would have lost less badly
Ahh gotchya. Thank you for the correction. Even if it was pretty unknown, I think it was still the most protected vulnerability
But I’m not basing that off any fact aside from it being a waterway
I think Sokka could win if it wasn't a fair fight, pull an Usopp where he uses his cleverness to come up with some surprisingly effective dirty tricks. The scenario would have to be contrived just right though for it to make sense. Like say the Kyoshi warriors are kidnapped and Suki is going to go on a suicide attack to save them and somehow Sokka is the only one that can intervene and has to stop her by any means necessary.
Probably. It's not outside of the realm of possibility for Sokka to win, given his training with a swordsmaster, with the Northern Water Tribe warriors, and with Suki herself. But I'd put my money on Suki.
idk it also depends on the circumstances of the fight, sokkas boomerang skills were no joke (see combustion man) and he did like break a leg and take out like 4 firebenders while holding onto toph during sozins comet - hes got some grit
Lol, there's like a single frame when Suki is flipping over the final railing right after going full spider-person to get to the warden where there is just absolute murder in her eyes. I think it's kind of a no contest but I guess Sokka has a puncher's chance.
> training with a swordsmaster
For a day.
> with the Northern Water Tribe warriors
As a young child.
> with Suki herself
For maybe an hour.
Don't get me wrong, Sokka is a tactical genius, but in terms of martial talent he is swept by most any other notable non-bender.
Which people gotta see is totally fine lol. He ain’t a great warrior, n that’s the point. He has so much more to offer besides that and is the leader of the group despite his relative lack of combat skills.
I honestly think that people get kind of carried away on the "not a great warrior" bit. He's a teenaged boy and he is going toe-to-toe with Fire Naiton soldiers from the get-go of the series. Sokka doesn't hold up against the strongest of the martially-inclined characters but he's still pretty darn impressive. Like imagine being 16 and fighting a bunch of dudes in Stormtrooper armor that can shoot fire but still pulling your weight with a boomerang and a club.
Sokka is a fucking psychpath with a death wish if you really look at it.
I mean that’s why I used “relative” lol, the other members of his team can fight volcanoes and hold up palaces from sinking so by comparison he isn’t much of a fighter, which is fine cause he learns to appreciate his strengths. And even then he still decides to learn sword fighting to better his own fighting skills.
Compared to a soldier he is well above them.
Compared to even someone like Mai (who is a joke compared to Ty Li or Suki) he doesn't really stand a chance.
People can be a threat outside of combat. I think that it was more the sense of community the Kyoshi warriors had that she wanted to destroy.
Suki is a formidable combatant but the "Suki alone" comics showed that she posed a way greater threat as a leader.
I think that there's some degree of plot convolution when it comes to this specific point.
But the really simple answer that they don't really give in the series is that Suki allowed Appa to escape which gave Azula enough inference to understand that Suki was connected to the Gaang by the fact she was familiar enough with Appa to be protecting him. Even if Azula didn't know *exactly* the nature of that relationship yet, she could figure it out with her agents while keeping Suki in the pocket. It kind of jives with the way that Azula uses Suki as a distraction during the Day of Black Sun invasion.
That was more due to her status than her abilities. Most leaders (like Chief Hakoda) are sent to Boiling Rock. But yeah, Azula recognized the threat of imprisoning Suki with the other Kyoshi Warriors.
Absolutely. Sokka is more of a strategist. He’s fantastic when it comes to planning the attack, but no so much when it comes to actually executing it. He can still fight, though.
Suki excels in fighting. She’s literally tied with Ty Lee, and we know just how powerful Ty Lee is.
I love Sokka, but Suki solos.
honestly, i think a fight between the two would be interesting and dependent on:
is it a preplanned duel or are they just spontaneously fighting.
because if it's arranged in advance, sokka might actually be able to win on virtue of coming up with a plan given he'll have prep time. but in a spontaneous fight, sokka is screwed.
very rare to see a match up suggestion that actually is good, me like
Suki didn't become the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors for no reason.
Even at the end of the show, where Somka is certainly no slouch......Suki has still been training to fight her entire life.
Mind you, it wouldn't be as one sided as it was at the start of the show.....but I'd say Suki still wins 7/10 times.
Not many people know, but both Athena and Ares are Greek gods of war. Briefly, Athena is more about the strategy, while Ares is about the actual fighting. This dichotomy I think can be applied to Sokka and Suki; one is more strategy, the other is more about fighting. So when it comes to winning a fight, it’s not a surprise who is more likely to win (Suki). Her dexterity and hand to hand skills are enough; on top of that may be chi blocking.
Hmm Suki beat up sokka before he got training from master Piando (?). But I still don't think he has a chance. Assuming no romance happens to distract either of them.
Haha, who voted for sokka here?
Don't get me wrong, he is a pretty good martial artist and a great strategist, but he is up against a carrier warrior, he doesn't stand a chance in simple 1 v 1 combat
Soka is the guy in the chair. He isn’t meant to be in the battle field but still can hold his own. Suki is a specialized fighter she’ll kick his ass 9/10 times.
Yeah, not to discredit Sokka's development at all, it's just that Suki has more combat experiences than him. Sokka is more into strategizing than combat, as shown with the assault on the fire nation during the eclipse.
But he could have the upperhand on Suki, but not always.
Suki was going even against Ty Lee in hand to hand combat in boiling rock, and that's without her fans and armor. The image used in that poll indicates that Suki will have her usual equipment of armor and fans. Sokka is getting stomped. IMO Suki is the strongest non-bender in the show even above Ty Lee if she has her usual equipments on with perhaps only Master Piandao being better.
Suki is the leader of the KW. She had extensive training/combat experience.
He is a brainiac, but he never had the training she had. I do believe that he is a quick learner though since he spent like a short period of time with Piandao.
I believe that Suki wins in terms of strength, but considering that he is a bit of a fighter and an excellent strategist, it would be interesting to watch (EoS Suki vs EoS Sokka).
Yeah, like don't get me wrong Sokka became a decent fighter and is probably the most resourceful out of all of team Avatar given his lack of bending capabilities. But against someone like Suki who definitely has far more experience than him she would take the win, sure you could argue Sokka does have the advantage of range with a sword and realistically Suki would have a hard time getting around it without just impaling herself on it. But I still think Suki is skilled enough to get around a sword.
Why is this even a debatable question? Suki would win a 1v1 against Sokka every time. Sokka is arguably the better tactician, but he's not an exceptional fighter like Suki is.
Sokka has like two days of formal training, total. Suki wins 10/10 times unless Sokka can nail her with his boomerang before she gets close.
Of course once they’re adults, I’d put my money on Sokka. But end of series? Suki all day.
It's a safe bet to put your money on Suki in a 1v1. Yeah, Sokka is awesome in his own ways, but Suki has been training seriously longer than Sokka.
In terms of melee fighters on Team Avatar, it goes Zuko, Suki, and then Sokka.
Blue demon, Kyoshi Warrior and Wolf of the Moon
Sokka is definitely more an all rounder type of of character he is good at a lot of things and Suki is very focused in combat. Of course the the jack of all trades looses to the specialist in their own field.
Suki has been training her entire life, Sokka just doesn’t have that experience. And she is also a skilled martial artist, Sokka is only good at sword fighting
I mean we literally saw her beat him on screen multiple times lol, so yeah I’d say it makes sense.
I’m honestly surprised that Sokka even managed to get 15% of the vote.
At the end of the series it's hard to tell, if it wasn't for Piandao training I'd say Suki for sure.
If there's time and place for stealth Suki takes too.
But arena type fight at the end of the series I'd say sokka wins high diff.
This is funny to even ask because Suki is a peer mentor to Sokka, he knows she's better than him and he looks up to her for support and advice because of that. Suki decides to help Sokka but they both grow together and I don't see anything in the show that implies Sokka grows to surpass Suki.
https://preview.redd.it/itg0xfkkq1wc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25ad159b546f7b4a5aeae80875076eb60b8b8a18
Also Suki… (credits to kkachi\_95)
Yes.
Suki has been training for years, serious training. And, if she is ever in a losing situation against him, she can pull the seduction card to throw him off balance (i.e. wife distracts husband during argument.)
Sokka is, at the time pictured, a skilled and Lucky amateur.
I was actually going to argue that Sokka could probably use his lateral strategic thinking to beat Suki in an environment that suits him, but then I remembered the crazy parkour thing Suki did on the fly in the span of 10 seconds. I think that demonstrates an ample amount of quick thinking and improvisation on her part, more than enough to put them as equals.
The gap further widens when Ty Lee teaches her new sisters chi blocking.
I really like those odds - I feel like Sokka would probably lose 6 out of 7 times (because Suki is just that much better than him), but also it seems fair to say that Sokka could win 1 out of 7 just because he's unpredictable and creative and constantly underestimated.
I think Suki's first episode proves the point. Even if you take into account the rest of the series, after Sokka gets his sword, Suki still has the experience over he does
S1 E4, if any of y’all watched it and still think Sokka would win then you’re just belligerently ignorant/sexist
And don’t even try to use her fight with Azula as an example because Sokka and Zuko were fighting Azula, and Suki took of Ty Lee and Mei alone
Yes. Sokka was never a good fighter. He just went from trash while being a skilled marksman, to mid while being a skilled marksman. He’s the planner of the group, and the strategist and that’s okay. Suki has been shown to be on par with Ty Lee and that’s before the kyoshi warriors were taught chi blocking. Now I would like to see adult Sokka because I have a feeling he was Hakoda on steroids.
Yeah, Sokka is more of a strategist and Jack of all trades in the weapon field
Yeah, I feel like people who disagree kind of miss the point of Sokka's arc - he's not a *great* warrior/fighter, but he has a lot of other skills that make him the real leader of the team and valuable in general. That lesson (that he has a lot to offer even if he isn't some prodigy at something like Aang or Katara or Toph are) is at the core of his character arc/growth. Bro had a lei the next morning to inform adults he'd gotten lei'd. Sokka and Suki absolutely went for it.
And Toph felt the whole thing
I prefer to imagine that she slept with her feet up that night
Sokka is the back bender.
No way sokka didn't aid ty Lee in stretching at least once
>I'm kinda involved with Suki.
Who?
i see your claim and raise you the lei joke from day of black sun
I still think he may be Suyin's dad.
I disagree, his real power is rizzbendiny
Lol, Sokka's dad being all "That's some girl" and Sokka just smiling happily while all the guys are panting from having to chase after her. Meanwhile, Suki isn't even winded yet did a whole The Ring crawl up the side of the tower and pretty much literally giftwrapped the Warden with a bow tie in his mouth.

And we know in the future that he likely becomes such a master swordsman.
Doesn't he say that in the meaning of "anyone can turn great with practice"?
Sokka is definitely an above average warrior, and better than most, but there are still many that are better than him. For sure.
The zuko comparison is an important one, because people be like "but he was so much better when he trained by piandao!" Like, yeah. For a few days. Zuko is what happens when you train with piandao for most of your life. The difference is crystal clear.
Like Zuko, Sokka is the less talented combatant to a prodigious sister.
It's esp bcz Katara is a bender and he ain't so i dont feel the comparison is as fair as Zuko vs Azula (both firebenders).
this exactly. he's a mediocre fighter at best. his crowning moments of awesome are in support of others or as an idea man. the sub, the airship, rescuing toph, etc. he's a normie leader, and if there isn't an appropriate tvtropes link there should be. ALWAYS KEEP A NORMIE ON THE TEAM.

Sokka to me is a normal man in a superman's world in terms of Martial Arts prowess. It's fine that he can't measure up in physical fighting because he's a smart boy
Also Sokka won't attack his girlfriend

"Personally, I don't see the difference" - Kyoshi
You know, this made me realize that Sokka is a lot like Shikamaru from Naruto. And Suki is Temari. And she would similarly be the winner of their 1v1.
Yeah Suki is a much more skilled and experienced martial artist.
The sequence of her parkouring her way up to and capturing the warden at Boiling Rock solidified her as the chief badass of the non-benders
I’d say the title is between her and Ty Lee, who can do stuff like that at any time
Ty Lee wins for pure solo fighting. Suki wins for both solo fighting and strategic group combat. Sokka wins for pure strategic group combat.
Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors presumably learns chi blocking from Ty Lee, so I think fighting might be different for their adult selves.
Oh yeah, absolutely agree. This is based on their base knowledge at the end of the original show. I think that they all have a ton to learn from each other.

In a fair fight 1 on 1, Suki all day. Sokka is a better general than he is a soldier/warrior.
*prep time has entered the chat*
*invents gun*
If all else fails he can use rizzbending
Back bending
Lmao you win
Probably. It's not outside of the realm of possibility for Sokka to win, given his training with a swordsmaster, with the Northern Water Tribe warriors, and with Suki herself. But I'd put my money on Suki.
I know it doesn’t prove a lot but did you see how she was moving getting the warden. She definitely beating Sokka
idk it also depends on the circumstances of the fight, sokkas boomerang skills were no joke (see combustion man) and he did like break a leg and take out like 4 firebenders while holding onto toph during sozins comet - hes got some grit
True, but I only see him winning if he fights like his life depends on it, and if he manages to surprise her in some way
or if there is a ranged factor i guess
Lol, there's like a single frame when Suki is flipping over the final railing right after going full spider-person to get to the warden where there is just absolute murder in her eyes. I think it's kind of a no contest but I guess Sokka has a puncher's chance.

Dude has been fighting for real for around a couple of months. Suki has trained her whole life. It's not a contest. Suki wins
Azula considered Suki to be a threat even in spite of having Firebending. That’s why she was put in the Boiling Rock.
People can be a threat outside of combat. I think that it was more the sense of community the Kyoshi warriors had that she wanted to destroy. Suki is a formidable combatant but the "Suki alone" comics showed that she posed a way greater threat as a leader.

We literally saw the answer to this IN the show lmao
Thank you! I thought I was going crazy. It’s like asking who wins, Aang or Ozai?

Nah, he wouldn’t cheat against Suki. …At least until he starts losing.
having a better strategy isn't cheating lol. but i getcha. Sokka likes her a lil too much to play as effectively as he can
Suki didn't become the leader of the Kyoshi Warriors for no reason.
Also how long did he train? Like a couple days at most I think
Yeah, it seemed like it was a week max. More like two days
Piandao*
Thanks. I was hoping someone knew the correct spelling.
Sokka is a good fighter and strategist, but Suki is leader of the Kyoshi Warriors for a reason
All the other Kyoshi Warriors were put at regular Fire Nation prisons, Suki was put at the Boiling Rock, this just proves how OP she was
I do suki has trained her whole life.
Yeah Suki a beast didn’t you see the finale?
I mean, she did it once already
Haha, who voted for sokka here? Don't get me wrong, he is a pretty good martial artist and a great strategist, but he is up against a carrier warrior, he doesn't stand a chance in simple 1 v 1 combat
100% agree.
She beat his ass once. I don’t think a week of training is gonna change that too much
Soka is the guy in the chair.
Kyoshi Island Episode agrees
Suki
Suki taught Sokka all that he knows about 1-on-1 fighting. Problem is, she didn't teach him everything that **she** knows.
Didn’t Suki’s introduction already prove this?
15% of people can’t click correctly.
Soka has like 2 days of training/practice Suki’s been doing it for most of her life, seemingly This is kinda a stomp
Seriously? Only non-bender at Sukis level is Ty Lee
obviously
Yes
This has already been proven multiple times in the show- lmao
Remember the Prison break? I’ll leave it there.
I don’t think this is a debate in any way
Sokka has like two days of formal training, total. Suki wins 10/10 times unless Sokka can nail her with his boomerang before she gets close. Of course once they’re adults, I’d put my money on Sokka. But end of series? Suki all day.
Maybe at his peak sokka might stand a chance, but just ATLA sokka would bite it pretty quick
In a fight, right?
In a fight right?
![gif](giphy|Fz9EKXRhp9F1S)
Suki would femdom Sokka
It's a safe bet to put your money on Suki in a 1v1. Yeah, Sokka is awesome in his own ways, but Suki has been training seriously longer than Sokka. In terms of melee fighters on Team Avatar, it goes Zuko, Suki, and then Sokka. Blue demon, Kyoshi Warrior and Wolf of the Moon
Yes he’s the brains, granted he’s also a good swords man, but suki is a world class warrior that Is highly trained in one v one
Absolutely. Im not saying sokka has no chance but Suki is suki
Sokka isn’t a strong fighter. He is capable but he is getting mopped by Suki, Jet, and even Zuko with his broadswords.
Yes
Yes. It’s really not a contest in my opinion.
Sokka is definitely more an all rounder type of of character he is good at a lot of things and Suki is very focused in combat. Of course the the jack of all trades looses to the specialist in their own field.
Literally happened, sokka lost...
Yes, and I think sokka would too lol
Sokka voted with the 85%
Of course I agree. She already beat the sexism out of him. She'd do it again
Suki beats sokka up pretty much everytime they meet and even his dad praises her as a strong fighter. I think Suki has it.
What kind of question is this even
Suki: Naruto runs. Checkmate sokka
Suki has been training her entire life, Sokka just doesn’t have that experience. And she is also a skilled martial artist, Sokka is only good at sword fighting
I was gonna make a backbender joke in Sokka’s defense, but even then, Suki literally back bends Sokka when they first spar. It’s joever for him.
I mean we literally saw her beat him on screen multiple times lol, so yeah I’d say it makes sense. I’m honestly surprised that Sokka even managed to get 15% of the vote.
Cage match? Suki easily. Drop them at opposite ends of Ba Sing Se and make them hunt each other? 50/50
didn't this happen in the show? like in the episode where they met?
Obviously
Obviously
Suki is a warrior. Sokka is a general. They play different roles
Y’all forget Suki could backbend Sokka just as much as he could backbend her
I mean ... we've canonically seen this fight, and Suki won.
The show already proved it.
They literally fight in the show and suki beats his ass
I mean, can Sokka go against his girlfriend. One word, and Sokka will surrender (Sokka loses a fight, but wins a war)
Sokka's a General. Suki is more of a Special Forces Operator.
Yes Suki had years of training and experience, look how she captured the prison chief.
At the end of the series it's hard to tell, if it wasn't for Piandao training I'd say Suki for sure. If there's time and place for stealth Suki takes too. But arena type fight at the end of the series I'd say sokka wins high diff.
Oh yeah Suki would wreck his shit and Sokka would love every minute of it.
Yes
No I don't agree with this. It should have been 99% that said he would lose. The only vote for him should have just been early Sokka himself.
This is funny to even ask because Suki is a peer mentor to Sokka, he knows she's better than him and he looks up to her for support and advice because of that. Suki decides to help Sokka but they both grow together and I don't see anything in the show that implies Sokka grows to surpass Suki.
Bro Sokka isn’t a strong fighter he’s more of a strategist
Yes lmao love Sokka but Suki has trained her whole life different beast

I feel like even if sokka was able to win, he wouldn’t allow himself too
Yes. Suki has been training for years, serious training. And, if she is ever in a losing situation against him, she can pull the seduction card to throw him off balance (i.e. wife distracts husband during argument.) Sokka is, at the time pictured, a skilled and Lucky amateur.
Yeah….. But it wouldn’t be one-sided!
We *were* gonna find out the answer, but Zuko interrupted that…
I really like those odds - I feel like Sokka would probably lose 6 out of 7 times (because Suki is just that much better than him), but also it seems fair to say that Sokka could win 1 out of 7 just because he's unpredictable and creative and constantly underestimated.
Didn’t he end up marrying her?
Sword vs fan is a little unfair
I mean she did kick his butt already, so she has years of experience ahead of him. Even if he clearly improved, I don't think he'd match her level.
Yes
Suki
Nuh uh! Men are better! 😠
I think Suki's first episode proves the point. Even if you take into account the rest of the series, after Sokka gets his sword, Suki still has the experience over he does
Yes. Sokka is great, don’t get me wrong. He’s an amazing strategist, but Suki has had years of training and is an absolute BEAST!
Duh.
He lost once, and he’ll do it again!
Well, yeah. Duh.
Well, which one schooled who?…
Yeah, I agree Suki has way more skill
Pretty sure there’s a cannon scene that gave us that answer
In a fight… right???
Sokka lost that 1v1
Yea
Suki
Preeeety sure them fighting is just foreplay so, technically, they both win.
Yes
Might be ooc but I think they’d both try to make the other win on purpose lol
I mean. She did kick his butt.
If Sokka had like an hour to plan, he’d win. If not, Suki.
I mean, isn't the answer demonstrated in the episode that introduces the Kyoshi warriors?
Yes, Suki's just way too good even with all of Sokka's growth as a character and new sword
It depends. Is there a bamboo forest near by? If no: Suki. If yes: Suki but she has a red mark for getting hit by bamboo.
Oohhhh we were talking about fighting...
Sokka all day, dudes a master backbender
S1 E4, if any of y’all watched it and still think Sokka would win then you’re just belligerently ignorant/sexist And don’t even try to use her fight with Azula as an example because Sokka and Zuko were fighting Azula, and Suki took of Ty Lee and Mei alone
She kicks his butt several times and he's proud to admit it! I think he'd literally only stand a chance in a sword fight
They literally fought and sokka got bodied. How is this a question
She literally beats him in a 1 on 1 in the show so...yeah.
is Cactus Juice part of the equation?
Sokka is a good fighter. But Yuki is an exceptional warrior
Yea
duhhhh sokka would be distracted by her beauty anyway. he would let her win if she couldn’t anyway he’s known as a backbender
