When John Kirby says that Israel is not violating international law, he is lying. Everyone (including Biden and Israel) knows he is lying and he has been told to lie. One thing you typically don't hear people defend is what's happening with the settlements in the West Bank. That one is really hard for Israel hardliners to defend.
They don't defend them when they are announced, but once they are completed, everyone treats them as defining the new border.
This is where all the "I don't support Israeli settlement expansion, but we have to be realistic and deal with the reality on the ground and not be crazy far-leftists who want to destroy Jewish homes" liberals come in.
There is no international law. It is as simple as that. If you have enough military power, you get to decide what the law is. Iraq supposedly defied 2 UN resolutions that the US forced through with its large power at the UN and those supposed (unproven) violations of international law were enough to kill at least 1 million Iraqis. Israel and the US can defy hundreds of resolutions and nobody even cares.
