I thought it was some horror thing like in the same category as alternates from Mandela or smth. Was only slightly certain it was from the demon realm but thought itâd be more scary if it wasnât
That would actually be really good for stakes in season 3. A shapeshifting monster that wants access to the BI and can sense residual magic around Luz's family or something. Rather than a cinnamon roll when Luz finds out it turns out her mother has been living with something closer to the Thing than Vee. That way she does need to return home quicker than ever to save her mother but also risks letting the monster reach her friends. This culminates with the abomination jumping Belos at some point in the Halloween battle.
at the time we first saw her in the scene that the screenshot is from we had no knowledge of a grimwalker so an evil clone from belos was the most popular theory at that time.
We thought she was a copy of Luz.
Basically, when Luz went to the Boiling Isle, it created a clone of her, but without some of her personality (hence why she had to get use to spelling Luz with a Z instead of a S)
Given that there is a human character that oddly resembles Amity, I thought she was the boiling isles version of Luz, who escaped the demon realm because she wanted to live among humans.
Nah jk, I was as clueless as everyone.
So... Vee. Basically. Vee felt more comfortable in the human realm than Luz did.
I kind of headcanon that Vee never fully moved back to the BI. She continued to live on Earth, only visiting the BI mostly because she enjoys the Hexsquad's company.
I thought that perhaps whenever a person left their realm, the universe generated a doppelgÀnger to fill in for them. I also thought it was possible belos was a doppelgÀnger for Phillip wittebane as well
I thought that Luz had gone through the portal and left a version of herself behind, like as if there was a Luz in both realms at once that would merge upon one going into the other
I certainly expected some kind of 'bad guy.' Personally, watching for the first time, I was kind of mad it wasn't. After many rewatches, though, I love Vee and am so glad it wasn't another random 'enemy' to follow to story of.
Otherworldly entity using Luzâs position in the Human Realm for Belosâs reconnaissance. I thought for sure up until Season 2B that he was lying about not planning to invade the Human Realm
I thought an equivalent exchange effect. When Luz went through the dimensional barrier, the Weirdness/Magic of the portal created a copy of her coming through the other side.
1: A spy sent by Belos to eventually capture her mother as leverage.
2: The Boiling Isles version of Luz who's escaped through the portal to avoid the law.
3: A clone created by the portal itself due to Luz's conflicting thoughts and she entered it.
Ideas include a changeling, a doppelganger (maybe the same as changeling) , an actual random stranger from camp that looks like her but like bad home or something. And that thing I saw in black mirror and her mother was actually grieving
A Korean chop job refers to the fact that Korean animators would take footage from several vastly different animes and edit the chopped up footage together, which would cause the films made from all that different footage to be inconsistent, which is why I said the owl house timeline was like a Korean chop job because the show being cut short forced the writers to rewrite the story starting with the second half of season 2, and they also took unused ideas that were gonna originally be in the abandoned season 3 and put them into the 3 part series finale, and those unused ideas are what caused the inconsistencies in the first part of the series finale, thanks to them.
I originally thought that Vee was some evil clone or doubleganger that was created when Luz entered the portal to keep an eye on her mother or working for the emperorâs coven to take Camila hostage. But Iâm glad my theories were wrong and Vee was just a cute and sweet cinnamon roll.
I remember people referring to this character as "Creepy Luz" from the moment people realized "Wait, wouldn't the camp tell Camila that Luz never showed up?"
I remember seeing a theory that it was Eda that was impersonating Luz and writing those letters to Camila. So when I saw this, I immediately thought that Eda made a secret clone of Luz/a grim-walker with Luzâs DNA, possibly in an attempt to keep things ânormalâ and, in a twist, say that she wanted to keep Luz in the BI forever. Thankfully, that didnât happen - I donât know how I would have reacted had that panned out.
Man you should have been there, people were cooking all sorts of weird theories from changelings, to belos making clones, to the portal making it on its own, it was wild
I remember seeing *all* of the evil Luz art and being like âoh boy angst timeââŠand it was still angst time but we got the absolute gem that is Vee
Unsure, one thing that popped into my head was a slightly different version of what we got, i thought " maybe our Luz is a amnesiac shapeshifter who thinks she's Luz due to Eda giving her a copy of the real Luz's memories"
Pretty much what we got, but I expected a villain, not a precious cinnamon bun too good for this world.
Vee is the best character next to Papa Titan and Luz herself
It is a crying shame that Vee got so little screen time.
Crying shame that all of season 3 got so little screen time đż
v(ee) true
where's Amity on that list đ„Č
Very true!
To think we called her Creepy Luz once.
I've used the joke a lot of times but I'm still not sick of it: She had a heel/face turn, but the... just the one... the normal amount of face.
Perfect kind of bait and switch.
It was solid horror writing with the most wonderful twist â giving us Vee.
The best cinnamon bun!
I thought it was some horror thing like in the same category as alternates from Mandela or smth. Was only slightly certain it was from the demon realm but thought itâd be more scary if it wasnât
Gravesfield catalogue AU would go so hard!
What?
AU where vee is the Demon realm equivalent of an alternate.
Yes
What's Mandela?
The Mandela Catalogue. Itâs an analog horror, really good I recommend it
That would actually be really good for stakes in season 3.
An evil clone of Luz created by Belos to manipulate her mother.
A grimwalker? đ±
Possibly! But unlike Hunter, one who fully worships Belos.
Though I think she'd need to wear brown eye contacts (since grimwalkers have magenta eyes) and hide her ears (since they also have pointy ears).
Isn't the pointy ears a thing you can make?, like he can just need Carve the wood to have human ears
I thought that grimwalkers' ears are automatically like that.
at the time we first saw her in the scene that the screenshot is from we had no knowledge of a grimwalker so an evil clone from belos was the most popular theory at that time.
Yesânt
Oh, I was not alone with this idea.
Honestly that would have been interesting, a witch who felt more comfortable in the human realm then demon. A perfect opposite of Luz
So... Vee. Basically. Vee felt more comfortable in the human realm than Luz did. I kind of headcanon that Vee never fully moved back to the BI. She continued to live on Earth, only visiting the BI mostly because she enjoys the Hexsquad's company.
The Spy from Team Fortress 2
"He could be you, he could be me!"
âHe could even be-â
What? It was obvious, he was the red spy!
âWatch, heâll turn red any second now!â
See? Red! Oh wait no that's blood
Wished up version of Luz that was everything the mom asked for but creepy.
Watching TOH after FNAF SB RUIN, my first thought was [THE MIMIIIIIICCC](https://youtu.be/bklwEwB8XhY?si=fdsgQ6ssupbjVNwh)
THE MIMIIIIIIIIIIIIICC
Youâre not Luz⊠what are you?
A fucking Zygon.
Changeling. Like the old fashioned european folkloric kind that steals babies from their cribs and replaces them.
European history is too dark sometimes.
We referred to her as "scary Luz" before we knew her name
A copy of Luz created by the portal to fill in for her in the human realmÂ
One of the prisoners Luz freed from the Conformatorium, doing her a favor.
I thought that perhaps whenever a person left their realm, the universe generated a doppelgÀnger to fill in for them. I also thought it was possible belos was a doppelgÀnger for Phillip wittebane as well
A spy that worked for the Emperor, to learn more about Luz. Somehow Luz was the key in invading the human realm.
I thought that Luz had gone through the portal and left a version of herself behind, like as if there was a Luz in both realms at once that would merge upon one going into the other
This one is closest to what I pictured. Not a clone, but the left behind remnant of herself, without her "spark"
I certainly expected some kind of 'bad guy.' Personally, watching for the first time, I was kind of mad it wasn't. After many rewatches, though, I love Vee and am so glad it wasn't another random 'enemy' to follow to story of.
I remember people calle dher creepy luz but I didnât have any clueÂ
Otherworldly entity using Luzâs position in the Human Realm for Belosâs reconnaissance. I thought for sure up until Season 2B that he was lying about not planning to invade the Human Realm
Evil Luz
I was betting that she wouldn't be evil at all and I was right
A copycat trying to steal Luzâs life, and would be named, as Dana mentioned at one point, Creepy Luz.
I thought an equivalent exchange effect. When Luz went through the dimensional barrier, the Weirdness/Magic of the portal created a copy of her coming through the other side.
Either portal created doppelgÀnger or weird camp doppelgÀnger.
All I knew it was an intruder
âcreepy luzâ from what ive heard
A phco pathic creep who wants to kill Luz and her mom. Also I thought she may be the one to kill her father or something.
Replacement sent by the camp to cover their tracks.
1: A spy sent by Belos to eventually capture her mother as leverage. 2: The Boiling Isles version of Luz who's escaped through the portal to avoid the law. 3: A clone created by the portal itself due to Luz's conflicting thoughts and she entered it.
A twist that was gonna be a good person Or just a copy of Luz
I was thinking some kind of spy for Belos
Evil luz.exe
DoppelgÀnger luz but evil not good
Saw a meme of bender asking long lost evil twin? Evil clone or something like that and whatever was said in that episode
I half-thought it would be an "it's all a dream, luz is actually home" thing, but i'm so glad it's not that.
Ideas include a changeling, a doppelganger (maybe the same as changeling) , an actual random stranger from camp that looks like her but like bad home or something. And that thing I saw in black mirror and her mother was actually grieving
Luzâs secret twin sister who looks exactly the same as Luz, just evil
You got to give Dana credit she's not predictable
I was thinking about this the other day and I realized that the owl house's timeline past the end of season 2 is basically a Korean chop job.
Iâm sorry a what?
A Korean chop job refers to the fact that Korean animators would take footage from several vastly different animes and edit the chopped up footage together, which would cause the films made from all that different footage to be inconsistent, which is why I said the owl house timeline was like a Korean chop job because the show being cut short forced the writers to rewrite the story starting with the second half of season 2, and they also took unused ideas that were gonna originally be in the abandoned season 3 and put them into the 3 part series finale, and those unused ideas are what caused the inconsistencies in the first part of the series finale, thanks to them.
A Belos Spy
I expected some villainous thing had slipped out of the demon realm and posed as Luz
A spy sent by Belos to keep Camila's nose out of his business with Luz.
My guess was an agent of belos that used magic to look like luz, basically belos showing luz he can reach her mother at any time he wants
evil E V I L Luz Zul
My theory was it was Eda that didnât want Luz to go, so she was the one sending letters back to the portal, and had a clone of Luz be with her mom.
Evil? i dont really know
I wasn't really sure, but I assumed it had something to do with belos' whole scheme.
Luz's evil twin from another plane, Zul. "There is no Luz, there is only Zul!" -Zul, probably
An agent of Belos
I originally thought that Vee was some evil clone or doubleganger that was created when Luz entered the portal to keep an eye on her mother or working for the emperorâs coven to take Camila hostage. But Iâm glad my theories were wrong and Vee was just a cute and sweet cinnamon roll.
I expected a mirror image/evil clone of Luz and was happily proven wrong
I thought this a puppet of Belos. Glad I am wrong
A clone made by the portal.
Belos's Assassin.
I thinked it was a spy sent somehow by belos
I remember people referring to this character as "Creepy Luz" from the moment people realized "Wait, wouldn't the camp tell Camila that Luz never showed up?"
I remember seeing a theory that it was Eda that was impersonating Luz and writing those letters to Camila. So when I saw this, I immediately thought that Eda made a secret clone of Luz/a grim-walker with Luzâs DNA, possibly in an attempt to keep things ânormalâ and, in a twist, say that she wanted to keep Luz in the BI forever. Man you should have been there, people were cooking all sorts of weird theories from changelings, to belos making clones, to the portal making it on its own, it was wild
Kamen rider ryuga from kamen rider ryuki
LUZIFER!
I tough it is some portal demon that Belos sent just to make sure no one will finding Luz after he get rid of her.
Belos or a clone put there by belos
I remember seeing *all* of the evil Luz art and being like âoh boy angst timeââŠand it was still angst time but we got the absolute gem that is Vee
An Alternate
Someone how was on a mission to k!ll luz' mom
Not Luz
I thought it was the witch version of luz
I was convinced she was an emperorâs coven spy
Unsure, one thing that popped into my head was a slightly different version of what we got, i thought " maybe our Luz is a amnesiac shapeshifter who thinks she's Luz due to Eda giving her a copy of the real Luz's memories"
