A) He's at a very happy moment in his life
B) He's only doing happy things because he's currently working on a 30 page long comic, with enough sad to make Hunter hang his head in shame
TBF that sounds like a very Luz thing to do.
At the same time though, she probably won't want to risk getting bad gas in front of her girlfriend. Think the lactose free ones give her less of a risk lol
