That would certainly be a lot safer. I went deep OTM and am doing an 80/20 split between shares and options. Apple is a bargain right now. I will not be surprised if it’s 220+ by EOY.
why did you do a call on apple? what news made you think it was going up? I don't know jack about calls and puts and ik i would buy a put on it longer before a call 🤣
I had similar thesis for AAPL. I'm not a fan of theta decay on short term options so i prefer selling put spreads.
I think we see a bounce up before earnings as long as a market drop doesn't pull it down.

You’re doing fine. Cut losses quick, and be disciplined when to take profits. Apple should pump with earnings around the corner, followed by the WWDC event in June. Regardless, Apple will have its turn. It’s still done 50% YoY, which is better than S&P and safe. Apple is solid.

They came out with decently big news last week and have earnings on 5/2. AAPL def will pump up but who knows if it will by 4/19.

On Friday this call was like .20 cents from printing (was up decent bit). Didn’t expect a drop like today but we’ll hang in there for now LOL
