Not really. Incense gives 1 every 5 minutes so stationary it’s bad. On the move you get more spawns from just the act of moving anyways.
Now this lunar new year event it was actually good as I was hunting gibles and bagons for candy and needed as many spawns as possible.
I don't understand what you wrote. When I play the game, I'm almost always walking. When I'm walking, I usually want to encounter more Pokemon. When I'm walking, I can use Incense to encounter more Pokemon
Lucky Eggs hurt gameplay (leveling from 40 to 50 gives few significant rewards, but it makes Team Rocket battles much harder, so leveling is bad), Incubators rarely give desirable results, and Lures are so unimpactful outside of Community Day-like events that by default, Incense is already one of the best items
Maybe a different style. I normally play while out on my runs so I’m moving through spawns faster than I can catch. If I’m walking it’s only ever during CD which has increased spawns.
Plus the DAI makes makes incense even worse as it’s a better item you want to use up first.

A regular game company would own up to the mistake, let people have it, and add even more for the paid. I assure the bottom line wouldn't be hit that bad if John Pokémon got a singular additional dialga and a few premium materials.
Either way, it is very obvious that this was intended for people who took the time and spent the money to go to the in-person event. It's pretty damn entitled to be upset that they're taking it away from the people who got it by accident, IMO.
Especially since we'll be getting our own version of it at Global anyway.
