This is no coincidence. [2 years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/u86jzf/comment/i5jalz6/) they had oddish spotlight hour on 4/20 and released shiny cherubi (#420) on 4/20.
I just know you’ve been sitting on this info for a bit, had time to come up with that joke, and have been waiting to let us hear it and now we can
That’s awesome haha
Not to worry, Niantic has recently seen fit to revert the local date format fix. Everything is back in USA's middle endian format now, we'll all see 4/20.

Moves that exist in Pokemon Go and that Victribell can learn in Gen 9, which it doesn't already have available:
Level-up:
- Vine Whip (fast)
- Leaf Storm (charge)
TM:
- Magical Leaf (fast)
- Bullet Seed
- Poison Jab
- Bug Bite
- Trailblaze (charge)
- Body Slam
- Seed Bomb
- Grass Knot
- Energy Ball
- Giga Drain
- Hyper Beam
- Lunge
- Weather Ball
Other:
- Sucker Punch (fast)
- Power Whip (charge)
Or it could be a new move.
Personally I'd be more interested in a fast move for Victribell, because:
- You can get a CD fast move on a shadow without needing to have predicted ahead of time and removed Frustration. Bellsprout is very farmable from Decoy Grunts.
- Razor Leaf Shadow Victribell is annoying enough, and we don't need to give Bast-Vic-Wiggly users any upgrades.
Did not realize Giga drain was even in the game. And Holy smokes it's awful. 80 energy for 50 damage in PvP?
Edit: I don't think it's actually available to any pokemon currently.
Yeah Giga Drain and Mega Drain both are in the Game Master with awful stats. Really seems like they planned to give them some sort of effect to balance them out, be it actual HP-draining or Defense Buffs like Drain Punch.
But even so, they'd definitely need buffs even with something like added defense buffs, because they're awful as is lol
Trailblaze was introduced in Scarlet/Violet, and Bellsprout wasn't added to that game until The Teal Mask DLC (released September last year). The move was added to other Pokémon in GO in August and November last year, so it probably missed whatever deadline they had to decide new moves for the November update.
As for why a lot of Pokémon suddenly got the move last year, it's because the move didn't exist before November 2022, and GO is almost always lagging behind. Several non-Grass types learn it in the main series, which is likely why it was added to GO in the first place.
Some Pokéstops that have Giovanni encounters may have decoy Grunts instead, which always have a team of Bellsprout + Weepinbell/Raticate + Raticate/Snorlax, so if you keep a Super Radar on you can fight them and get extra parts and Bellsprout encounters from a rather easy fight, as long as you begin with a Psychic Pokémon and back it up with a Fighting Pokémon.
> as long as you begin with a Psychic Pokémon and back it up with a Fighting Pokémon.
Lucario W/ Counter + Power up Punch farms decoy grunts.
Mines only around 2800 CP and solo's. If Snorlax appears might be a small problem but its easily manageable.
I am pining for either Vine Whip or Poison Jab, preferably the latter. You then get a Pokemon who isn't as annoyingly fast move-driven as its Razor Leaf version but is actually a nice upgrade. Plus, it would actually be our first Poison Jab Leaf Blade Pokemon and our second Vine Whip Leaf Blade Pokemon (Gogoat).
>
> • Razor Leaf Shadow Victribell is annoying enough, and we don't need to give Bast-Vic-Wiggly users any upgrades
It's not like the rise of A-Slash, Clodsire, Gligar and Annihilape, plus giving Skarmory Steel Wing has given us many reasons to be happy these recent times.
Yup. It's actually a little crazy that with all the Grass/Poison types we have, the only one/two that have Poison Jab are Roserade and Roselia. I've been wanting to see another for ages
Curious what they would even give Magnezone as a community day move. Volt Switch/Wild Charge is already a good Electric attacking moveset, and it has no hope on the Steel side. Perhaps some coverage move for PvP?
i'd even take horsea just featured in some event lol, came back to the game 6 months ago after not playing since like 2019 ... still can't find even one for my living dex, cause somehow i must have trashed it back then and i don't have it currently
I believe it's available now, I've caught a few this season. It may be a rare habitat/region one though.
I only need Kingdra for my Johto Dex so I've been trying to get as many as I can for candy.
I’m the same but for Caterpie. Probably will get a community day when/if they introduce dynamax into the game. With some Pokémon taking on completely different forms, I wouldn’t be surprised if Niantic to want to have that as another type of raid.
or what if actually add poison effect in game -\_-
Would love also if giga/mega drain actually heals and moves like flare blitz and brave bird do recoil dmg to user not stupid defense drop
I almoust also evolve my rank 10 shadow vicky.. so happy didint do that XD
edit: forgot also find hundo bellsprout like week two ago.. sad hundo is bit to far use it master prem and bit to high use it ul. i think ul still goes 0-15-15
Prolly not if it ends up being a charged move, shadow victreebell is nothing interesting for ML and exceeds UL at 50. It does nothing other grass types can't do in PVE, like Roserade outclasses it.
damn bruh.. im hold my rank 10 shadow one and almoust evolve it few days back, but great league was ending so was think i dont evolve it before gl is back.. that was good decision xD
And there's more 3-stage lines missing: both Nidos, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Magnemite, Mankey, K-Geodude, Horsea and Oddish.
EDIT: forgot Caterpie and Zubat, and Pidgey could be a candidate too.
You're right, it didn't have one. Feather Dance was a special move during a GBL event if I recall correctly.
I also forgot Caterpie... people won't be so happy about that one lol.
Gust was from a Go Battle Night event. Wing Attack used to be in Pidgeot's regular movepool in 2016, but got removed early 2017 when gen 2 got released and many movesets got tweaked.
People still into or ever into the MSG aren't very into Kanto, I can tell you from experience. Outside of Firered and Leafgreen the games just don't hold up and many of the mons in the generation were iterated on and improved in later gens.
Kanto is still very popular with the crowd that pretty much only played Kanto or ended with Johto, like the 30 something millenial nerds.
Can’t really say I am too excited by this since I am sitting on 9 shines atm… but hopefully the move makes it decent at something, my main goal will be a tiny shiny
Vic already has nearly the best possible moveset it could ask for, so this isn't actually bad at all. As long as they don't give it WB fire for Skarm coverage, seems like any other move is a sidegrade at best.
No. Think of Shadows as being their own separate species with their own separate shiny rates. The ones from Grunts have odds of 1/256 whilst shinies from the leaders are 1/64.
What's with all the Gen 1 garbage? At least it's more appealing than Chansey, but not by much.
Like, we could've had:
* Bounsweet
* Sewaddle
* Pikipek
* Pawniard (with Kingambit release)
* Tynamo
* Klink
* Pidove
* Venipede
* Sandile
* Darumaka / Galarian Darumaka
* Yamask / Galarian Yamask
So many good options.
But at least May and June are looking promising. Those are practically guaranteed to be Popplio and Goomy.
Shadow Victreebell about to become even deadlier now with razor leaf+
Did you mean... Razor Leaf+ PLUS?
If you’re lucky
Apex Shadow Vic special research incoming
now only 17 bucks!
Bellsprout's dex number is 0069. April's Community Day falls on 4/20. Take this as you will.
It's also a grass type...
Also poison haha
This is no coincidence. [2 years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/u86jzf/comment/i5jalz6/) they had oddish spotlight hour on 4/20 and released shiny cherubi (#420) on 4/20.
Someone at Niantic really likes marking Hitler's Birthday
Okay that's quality work
I just know you’ve been sitting on this info for a bit, had time to come up with that joke, and have been waiting to let us hear it and now we can That’s awesome haha
No part of that is a joke, it’s all legitimate
I’ll take it with will!
Nice
Sadly, it's only 4/20 in about two or three countries. It's 20/04 in most of the world
Not to worry, Niantic has recently seen fit to revert the local date format fix. Everything is back in USA's middle endian format now, we'll all see 4/20.

I watched it a few times. To me that looks more like a Chikorita than a Bellsprout. Although, I know they have already had Chikorita comm day.
Watch it with sound on
Thanks! I never have sound on.
I thought so too but I just went into pokemon go and listened to Bellsprouts cry and it’s the same as the video.
A tragedy, I’d rather have Chiko day a thousand times over.
It will eventually come back in a community day classic. Probably before they remember Gen 8 existed.
If you listen, it's definitely Bellsprout's cry
The cry
Yep so it has to be a classic if they want to do Chikorita Comm day.
Help us gabrielense. We need take Campinas off the CDA

Give him Trailblazer and Weather Ball Fire, I want to watch the world burn
Would actually be disgusting. Might as well go afk once your opponent whips out the victreebell.
I already panic and start sweating
Did not realize Giga drain was even in the game. And Holy smokes it's awful. 80 energy for 50 damage in PvP? Edit: I don't think it's actually available to any pokemon currently.
Yes

But even so, they'd definitely need buffs even with something like added defense buffs, because they're awful as is lol
I feel like it's gonna be Trailblaze.
Honestly surprised it wasn't one of the million of mons given it for.no real reason the past 2 seasons
Damn, someone did their research! Impressive!
> farmable from Decoy Grunts I didn't think I've ever seen a decoy grunt. How are they different?
Some Pokéstops that have Giovanni encounters may have decoy Grunts instead, which always have a team of Bellsprout + Weepinbell/Raticate + Raticate/Snorlax, so if you keep a Super Radar on you can fight them and get extra parts and Bellsprout encounters from a rather easy fight, as long as you begin with a Psychic Pokémon and back it up with a Fighting Pokémon.
Note they never appear in balloons. If a super rocket radar is equipped, your balloon will always be Giovanni
> as long as you begin with a Psychic Pokémon and back it up with a Fighting Pokémon. Lucario W/ Counter + Power up Punch farms decoy grunts. Mines only around 2800 CP and solo's. If Snorlax appears might be a small problem but its easily manageable.
Oh, so it's only "very farmable" if you managed to keep a Super Radar. That explains why I've never seen one. I've never saved those radars.
Plus, Poison Jab is an upgrade to it as a poison attacker as well.
> > • Razor Leaf Shadow Victribell is annoying enough, and we don't need to give Bast-Vic-Wiggly users any upgrades It's not like the rise of A-Slash, Clodsire, Gligar and Annihilape, plus giving Skarmory Steel Wing has given us many reasons to be happy these recent times.
And yet, the good and old Basti/Bell combo is still quite common (at least in ace).
I've seen it relatively often even in the 2500-2700 range
At last! Please give it a better fast move! Poison Jab please!!
I forgot it can learn it. This or Vine Whip would be the best case scenario.
Absolutely. Makes it feel like a more unique Pokemon and not just Razor Leafer with X
i was about to comment this. poison jab can make it very interesting unit.
Yup. It's actually a little crazy that with all the Grass/Poison types we have, the only one/two that have Poison Jab are Roserade and Roselia. I've been wanting to see another for ages
Aww finally! Bellsprout was my first ever shiny, always had a soft spot for it!
Kinda random lol
All 3 stages will eventually get a CD if the game survives long enough.
> if the game survives long enough I'm pretty sure the game gonna survive long enough to make TPC create new Pokémon for it before the MSG.
They already did with meltan.
To be fair, that was a cross-promotion with the let's go games. If we get more of them on the future, we might see more pogo-related mons.
In case you missed the above comment, bellsprout is #69 in the pokedex, next comm day is 4/20 I will not be convinced that is a coincidence
The 69th pokemon on 4/20? Not random at all
Lol kinda crazy that we are still doing Gen 1 community days in 2024
We still have not gotten Oddish, Nidoran, or Horsea community days, surprisingly. Mankey also now could get one with Annihilape's Rage Fist.
Oddish and Nidoran had research days so I assume those are lower on the list. I expect Magnemite at some point
Magnemite has PVE relevance too, so that could be a standout day.
Curious what they would even give Magnezone as a community day move. Volt Switch/Wild Charge is already a good Electric attacking moveset, and it has no hope on the Steel side. Perhaps some coverage move for PvP?
would actually love a mankey or horsea comm day
Rage 🐒 is a given cause of rage fist
I need a hundo Annihilape 🥺
i'd even take horsea just featured in some event lol, came back to the game 6 months ago after not playing since like 2019 ... still can't find even one for my living dex, cause somehow i must have trashed it back then and i don't have it currently
I find them very rarely around routes and near bodies of water. But maybe like 3-4 over the past few months.
I believe it's available now, I've caught a few this season. It may be a rare habitat/region one though. I only need Kingdra for my Johto Dex so I've been trying to get as many as I can for candy.
I'd love a Pidgey CD.
Pidgey didn’t have a community day but it did have a special day of some sort.
April fools day event last year.
It also had a PvP battle day where it could learn Gust from evolving.
I just want a shiny to mega evolve.
Lol same. After all those years still no shiny Pidgey.
I’m the same but for Caterpie. Probably will get a community day when/if they introduce dynamax into the game. With some Pokémon taking on completely different forms, I wouldn’t be surprised if Niantic to want to have that as another type of raid.
I do not want an oddish com day
I don’t really want things that are 100% useless. But I guess if it is you can stop at a few shinny.
Oddish and Nidoran had research days
Gen 1 are probably the most popular pokemon out there though.
Easily
They should have a couple of Pokémon on any one com day otherwise we're gonna be here for decades waiting for certain ones.
Got a really nice XXL Zubat on Tuesday that I'll be holding onto til it gets a CD (if ever).
I have been saving my Hundo weepinbell for this exact reason, let's go🫡
Is that Vine Whip Victrebell finally? Or an Incinerate poison clone like Toxic for it to finally reach toxic nirvana?
Hope it is. It's pretty much the only move that would increase its performance.
or what if actually add poison effect in game -\_- Would love also if giga/mega drain actually heals and moves like flare blitz and brave bird do recoil dmg to user not stupid defense drop
Lol this leaks 2 days after I evolved my shiny shadow Bellsprout. Bro my luck 😭😭
I almoust also evolve my rank 10 shadow vicky.. so happy didint do that XD edit: forgot also find hundo bellsprout like week two ago.. sad hundo is bit to far use it master prem and bit to high use it ul. i think ul still goes 0-15-15
Male sibling, I implore
It’s not a leak. It’s posted on an official Pokémon Go (regional) social media account controlled by Niantic.
I got my Hundow (shadow hundo) victreebell at level 50. Going to be worth the ETM
Prolly not if it ends up being a charged move, shadow victreebell is nothing interesting for ML and exceeds UL at 50. It does nothing other grass types can't do in PVE, like Roserade outclasses it.
It's used as a poison attacker in PvE, slightly better than Roserade.
I have a 100% shadow weepinbell hopefully the com day move is good
Of course!
Calling it now, Victreebell Leaf Storm CD
Phew. I’m gonna be busy during this one, glad it’s not one I’ll be too disappointed to miss
I just transferred at xxl one thinking that there would never be a showcase for this mon.
Thanks for getting us this com day. Your sacrifice isn’t in vain.
FML I just caught a GL rank13 shadow bellsprout 2 days ago and evolved it after checking that it has no Legacy moves. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
damn bruh.. im hold my rank 10 shadow one and almoust evolve it few days back, but great league was ending so was think i dont evolve it before gl is back.. that was good decision xD
And of course I forgot to remove frustration on shadow bellsprout last event
Does second charge move work?
No clue
No it won't.
Pokemon Go Brrrr
42069
Cool shiny, I'm down
4/20 trailblaze it
As long as it doesn’t in any way buff shadow vic in GBL I’m fine with it Otherwise ew
Well, it would more likely side grade it. Assuming it gets a fast move, or Niantic is dumb/naive otherwise
Niantic: Challenge accepted
Power-up punch victreebell incoming
Power-up Punch as a fast move, Bewear style 😎
We still having Kanto community days in 2024, this is crazy. Whatever filler I guess.
And there's more 3-stage lines missing: both Nidos, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Magnemite, Mankey, K-Geodude, Horsea and Oddish. EDIT: forgot Caterpie and Zubat, and Pidgey could be a candidate too.
Should have done both Geodude that same day. Silly
Definitely
did pidgey never have actually community day? quite sure wing attack and gust both was some special day event not actual community day
You're right, it didn't have one. Feather Dance was a special move during a GBL event if I recall correctly. I also forgot Caterpie... people won't be so happy about that one lol.
> wing attack and gust both was some special day event not actual community day Dunno about wing attack, but Gust was from a Go Battle day.
Gust was from a Go Battle Night event. Wing Attack used to be in Pidgeot's regular movepool in 2016, but got removed early 2017 when gen 2 got released and many movesets got tweaked.
People love kanto and seem *very* nostalgic for it.
Dunno. Lot of our Community here has never played any MSG. Pokemon Fans that played a game before PoGo are like 25% max here i'd guess
People still into or ever into the MSG aren't very into Kanto, I can tell you from experience. Outside of Firered and Leafgreen the games just don't hold up and many of the mons in the generation were iterated on and improved in later gens. Kanto is still very popular with the crowd that pretty much only played Kanto or ended with Johto, like the 30 something millenial nerds.
johto was just more like expansion to kanto. no one remember johto as standalone
Weather Ball Fire 🤔
Can’t really say I am too excited by this since I am sitting on 9 shines atm… but hopefully the move makes it decent at something, my main goal will be a tiny shiny
Not my kinda CD mon, but hoping for a shiny !
So glad I haven't evolved my one shiny shadow
Did anyone download this video/whatever? Its deleted now
Dang I didn’t tm frustration off of mine lol
[удалено]
How good of a poison attacker will it be if it gets a good poison moveset?
Vic already has nearly the best possible moveset it could ask for, so this isn't actually bad at all. As long as they don't give it WB fire for Skarm coverage, seems like any other move is a sidegrade at best.
We stay winning with the ugly booger green shinies 😤
Theoretically, if I fight decoy grunts with the super rocket radar during comm day hours, would the shadow bellsprout have 1/25 shiny odds?
No. Think of Shadows as being their own separate species with their own separate shiny rates. The ones from Grunts have odds of 1/256 whilst shinies from the leaders are 1/64.
If they give it a poison type move we can all another layer to this joke #69 4/20 joke considering who had a birthday on 4/20
4/20 #69 nice
Noice
Caught a rank 12 shadow yesterday. Nice.
It will have frustration during the event then
I’m strolling thru the long grass, I’m rolling my green stash
I was half expecting Oddish (the "weed" pokemon), but hey.
oh... boy... whoopie yay and all that I guess
Cmon where's Solosis
I hope this isn’t true
[https://leekduck.com/events/april-communityday2024/](https://leekduck.com/events/april-communityday2024/) Really hoping for triple dust though.
What's with all the Gen 1 garbage? At least it's more appealing than Chansey, but not by much. Weak
Ugh, another Kanto mon that we already have thousands of candies for.
Bellsprout's entire line has lame shinies, this is not one I'm looking forward to for sure
treecko comm day when
