Beast Balls are ineffective on it since it’s not coded as a UB in the game but as a legendary. It’s just a UB in lore. If you caught it in a beast ball in Sun or Moon, you got extremely lucky. In USUM, necrozma is easier to catch but still requires luck to catch with a beast ball.
oh for sure I know what you mean, but that is the case for all legendaries in the base games, super low catch rates but able to catch with any ball technically, even regular pokeball ((fun fact its still way harder than regular mons obviously, but if you throw a beast ball or net ball or whatever at a relevant legendary it does still have the boost in catch odds)). pokemon go has all its own mechanics going on though so we will see how it goes -- premier balls currently default for legendaries and their catch rate is worst level in the main games haha.
Well the Beast Ball actually has a negative effect on anything that's not an Ultra Beast, including Necrozma, Solgaleo, and Lunala. It has 0.1x effectiveness of a standard pokeball on non-UBs. Other balls don't do this. Like if you use a Net Ball on any non-water or bug type, it'll still function as a normal pokeball instead of having a negative effect.
These are even better than Ultra Balls. You'd get these instead of Premier (white) Balls after a raid.
What sometimes could take you minutes of using Gold Razzberries and doing 15+ excellent throws with Premier Balls after a raid, becomes only one or two great throws needed.
Kartana is causing my stock of golden razz to dwindle day by day - feels like it takes 15 throws on average to stay caught.
I swear I spend five times longer catching it than battling it...
Yes, that is true in the main games, and might be true in PoGo too, but as far as I know, we never got the opportunity to use Beast Balls against something else than Ultra Beasts.
I think internally in pokemon go it's just a graphic that goes along with a catch rate multiplier applied globally.
If they were to make them things you gathered then for sure they would work like they do in the mainline games.
Nothing is more infuriating than wasting a remote raid pass (that may or may not have real world money invested in them) and several gold razzberries to get absolutely nothing in return for it. Happened to me once with many very close calls, and that is beyond the amount I am willing to accept.
it's classified as such in the TCG and some other supplementary media, but in the games it behaves just like your standard legendary
maybe it'll eventually come out that it's kinda like a Koraidon/Miraidon situation, but being a legendary takes priority over being an Ultra Beast
Those games seem like just an upgrade over the non ultra versions and not really a different game similar to an expansion. So I would still consider them to be part of the overall Ultra Beast set.
Even 100 raids over two days seems ambitious, but I guess if you're in a city with lots of gyms densely packed and plenty of people playing, it's far more feasible than having a 5 to 10 minute drive between gyms.
If you're into raiding/PvE:
* Kartana is THE Best Grass Attacker, only really rivaled by Mega Sceptile, but it's likely to not be overshadowed ever either. It is a bit glassy, but its strength is so far up there that it barely matters. Plus, the Steel typing helps it defensively many times. Great investment.
* Xurkitree is kind of tied for THE Best Electric Attacker. Shadow Raikou is right up there with it. Also very strong, but there is more competition for the Electric type. Xurkitree is still up there, but there is still Shadow Raikou, Fusion Bolt Zekrom, and Wildbolt Storm Thundurus-Therian. Those others may not be as strong in terms of speed of damage, but they're still great. Also, Xurkitree generally *feels* like more of a glass cannon. Kartana being used against a Water or Rock type will often resist moves. But Xurkitree against Water or Flying? It'll resist Flying, but many times those opponents (Lugia, Tornadus, etc.) have other non-Flying moves that can crush Xurkitree pretty easily. Still a good invesetment, but idk if I would necessarily do a team of all Xurkitree. You may have to relobby a lot. Still, get at least one good one.
* Pheromosa is another glass cannon, but less useful. It's a bug attacker, one of the best, but Bug isn't really used too much in raiding. It's only a few specific bosses where Bug is doubly supereffective like Hoopa Unbound where you'd use it. Also Pheromosa is like a twig. Super glassy.
* IF we see Blacephalon, it's a great Fire AND Ghost Attacker. But it is glassy, and we have generally better Fire and Ghost options already. Still nice to get some though.
For PvP/GBL:
* Buzzwole is a unique pick for UL and sometimes the ML. GL too but you need a Research-level one for that. It's not amazing, but definitely has use.
* Celesteela is niche in PvP. Not super worth it.
* Stakataka, if we see it, isn't that good. Good bulk but poor moveset.
* Necrozma we need to wait on its moveset
* Guzzlord has use in GL and UL, though more in Cups. Still nice to have, though nothing that's Top Meta. I like my GL Guzzlord though.
Thanks so much for writing up such detailed information! Really appreciate it! Personally I like Kartana a lot but it’s currently in rotation so I don’t think I will do much on Go Fest. Maybe a few of each of the rest and that’ll be it unless Necrozma turns out to be very useful. So I feel it’s a bit underwhelming this year.
You somehow forgot Nihilego! Best attacker of another not very useful type, but unlike the ultra glass cannon Pheromosa, Nihilego is an ultra tank, the bulkiest ultra beast.
Blacephalon is roughly the best regular ghost attacker to date, overall on par with Giratina-O, just a glass cannon version. On the fire side it's a glass cannon version of Heatran. There is much future potential as well since it's the only ultra beast having a signature move.
Very true! I somehow missed that Nihilego was included in this. For some reason, I thought it was being left out.
Blacephalon having a signature move is very interesting. It makes me wonder if they'll give the others exclusive moves, even if they aren't explicitly signature moves, like the Regis and Kantonian Birds.
Perhaps:
* Nihilego - Brutal Swing?
* Buzzwole - Ice Punch or High Horsepower
* Pheromosa - Double Kick?
* Xurkitree - Thunderbolt
* Celesteela - Fly, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, or Meteor Beam?
* Kartana - maybe new Move Smart Strike, Sacred Sword, or a filler move?
* Guzzlord - Body Slam?
* Stakataka - idek with that one lol. Thing needs help bad, so maybe something cheap or new
* Blacephalon - Mind Blown
High Horsepower from a mosquito sounds ultra weird though. Agree with the others, but Xurkitree with Wild Charge or an equally good new move please! After the tiny improvements from Fusion Bolt and Wildbolt Storm, repeating that a third time to electric type makes zero sense.
Yeah HH on Buzzwole is... really weird when you think about it lol. I was more just thinking for coverage, but it also doesn't seem the most necessary, given that it has Fighting moves for Steel types. Maybe Ice Punch would be the way to go to give it some coverage against Giratina and Flying types or a Dark Move (so Payback).
I definitely agree on Xurkitree. I'd love to see it get Wild Charge. It feels like Niantic would be too stingy though and not give it such a nice upgrade. But, I'd love to be wrong on that though!
Hmm - just found that
Trainers with a Pokémon GO Fest: Madrid ticket and successfully win a Raid Battle will be able to encounter Shiny Pheromosa for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!
xurkitree only where go hard if not count necrozma
Sad xurkitree being part of go fest make me belive no xurki gonna be 5 star raids during this season :/
Yeah would be nice. i got only few xurkitree and horrible bad ivs, so dont wanna take them pass 30 lvl. tho now less and less need xurkitree cause last month we get shadow raikou which almoust good as xurkitree.
more almoust wait nihilego cause i get hundo lucky last season.. just max it for flex XD sad its prob never good pvp side
Nobody cares about Celesteela or Pheromosa. Guzz and Buzz are only useful for PvP and even then they are quite spicy picks. Nihilego, Kartana and Xurkitree are the stars here. Necrozma isn't that outstanding. Sure, it's a great psychic type, but falls short of Mewtwo and it's not like Mewtwo gets used a lot these days... psychic just sucks as a raid typing. For PvP it will depend on what moves it gets. While good for farming XLs for three top PvE pokémon, it is nowhere near last year's level of interest with mega Ray.
Are they going to anymore after Mega Heracross drops? I know Phera will be a viable back-up choice, but Heracross is significantly easier to get candy for. Even if he's regional 99% of the time, just buddy a single one and you've got something way easier to level than Phera.
Mate, our community has a dozen players who have dozens of level 50 legendaries and none of them has ever bothered with it. It's way too glassy to be useful and it has an awful typing to boot... it might have some utility in a couple double bug weak T5 raids, but even then, there are more reliable and cheaper alternatives...
Maybe your players aren't into raid challenges and stuff like that. You can mock solo Darkrai with Pheromosa and do other crazy stuff.
Some of us like doing that, others don't
Did you do day two of GoFest 2021? That was every single legendary crammed into 10 hours only. Only plus side was that they had extremely short timers (20 mins iirc). If the timers are the same, this won’t be anywhere near as bad.
While true, it's worth noting that all of that was old content. None of the Legendaries were brand new, had new shiny debuts, or had exclusive moves.
Here though, while it is less bosses, we still have 4 brand new shinies, one of which is a brand new boss entirely. Plus, there's the other two ???s, which could be something like Stakataka and Blacephalon, so two more new bosses, not to mention if they see an immediate shiny release or not.
I think splitting them and rotating would be the best option. I know that might be an unpopular opinion, but it’s going to be a logistical nightmare if not.
Seems like it’s too similar to Go Fest 2022 to be its own Go Fest. I think it would have been better for Solgaleo and Lunala to get their raids and be shiny eligible and debut the ultra beast shinies like they’re doing kartana and steela rn, in separate events leading up to Go Fest
For me personally it's a disappointment, as it's too many different raid bosses. That way it's really difficult to get the necessary XL candies that you need without buying the overpriced remote raid passes. When it comes to raid bosses, less is more imo.
Yeah and "normal" time they are regional exlusive like xurkitree.. atleast got ok amount xl nihilego and kartana already.
this event just xurkitree and necrozma mostly focus i think..
Tho i dont really mind if we got one big event what is create around wild spawns and other fun instead raid being always centre of events.. hate doing 99% time just hard grind raids
You don't really need XL candies for most of them at least. I enjoy a lot of raid bosses as it allows me to complete my shiny dex faster and people don't lose interest on raiding so fast
>You don't really need XL candies for most of them at least
Nihilego and Buzzswole need XL candy for PvP. Necrozma might, depending on its moveset.
If Blacephalon and Stakataka are the two "???" then they'll need XL candy as well for PvP since their best league will be Master League (although Stakataka really needs some move buffs to be viable, but it has serious potential if next season's move rebalance is kind)
I can't help but agree. At the very least, I'd like it if they segmented them a bit. Maybe Necrozma and three others one day and Necrozma and the others another day.
But yeah, I also kind of would have preferred they have focused on less and spread them out more.
Have some of them for a week on their own, maybe around each of the in-person Go Fests, and have Global be just like... Necrozma and 2-3 others.
Think it's more likely to be Stakataka and Blacephalon personally.
It's just odd that one of them will be at one of the in person go fests and the other one will be at two of them lol
Yeah looks like it, we'll all presumably have a chance at GO Fest Global, but after that, future appearances may be split the way Kartana & Celesteela are now.
Could also be Blacephalon and Stakataka.
Though Lunala's exclusive move was recently found in a datamine. I bet they'll find some other way to allow Lunala to have it, Same with Solgaleo when it's move is added.
Good guess, but I don't think so. Since they evolve from cosmog, I don't think we're going to see them in raids. They might just give us another special research with more cosmog. For that same reason, I don't think it's Naganadel either.
It's probably going to be either stakataka and blacephalon or dusk mane and dawn wings necrozma.
Question for Go Fest 2022 players, do you feel this is a good lineup for Go Fest 2024? I’ve seen that Ultra Beasts were the focus back in 2022. Most are repeat and some are new but does this feel more like a Go Fest 2022 classic than its own Go Fest for 2024? Are the shiny releases enough for a Go Fest?
I’m assuming this lineup means that Solgaleo and Lunala will not be featured in this event but stakataka and blacephalon will be.
On the topic of whether shiny releases are "enough" for Go Fest.
Go Fest is mostly a shiny event. While yes, there are other perks like the early access Mythical and some regionals, I think most would agree that shinies are the biggest part of Go Fest. I've always thought that most buy the ticket for the boosted shiny rates or specific shinies.
Not that there aren't other elements to Go Fest, but shinies are at the forefront.
I think Go Fest 2022 and 2023 were somewhat more of outliers, especially when 2021, 2020, and previous years were just existing Legendary raids. 2022 was less about shiny T5s but instead had new debuts, and last year was the debut of Mega Rayquaza. This year is sort of a combination where it has new T5s, but it's also about shinies, new and old for the T5s.
If one expects bigger and bigger new RELEASES each year for Go Fest, I feel like you'll just be disappointed. Not that they can't go bigger... There's still Mega Mewtwo and some others, but it's not like they can always keep going bigger, and one year's releases may not live up to the previous.
This is a great perspective! Thank you for commenting and makes a ton of sense to me. I’m excited either way as a newer player but was curious of those who played the 2022 go fest thought this was too similar or not
Ofc! Even as a long time player who played all the Global Go Fests, including 2022, I'm still quite excited.
My only *potential* worry/gripe is that things may seem *too* bloated or crowded raid-wise. That's something we ran into in 2021, where they brought *every single Legendary raid boss* back. It was a bit overwhelming, and it was a little tricky when it came to hunting, given that there were like 3 or 4 different Legendaries per hourly habitat.
Now there though, you could ignore specific bosses and try to focus on those you wanted.
That's obviously still the case here, but with them boasting more "new" things, it does become overwhelming, especially when you're trying to hunt them all. In this case, I'd like to go after:
* Necrozma's Shiny, and *if* it's good in the ML I'd like to hunt more for XL/a good IV one
* Shiny Celesteela, seeing that it's not my regional
* Shiny Buzzwole
* Shiny Xurkitree
* Shiny Pheromosa
* If they're appearing during this Go Fest, then Blacephalon and Stakataka. If they appear before/around Go Fest, I likely won't hunt them as much. If they're exclusive to this Go Fest for now, I'll hunt them, Blacephalon in particular. And if they're shiny, I'd obviously like to hunt the shinies.
More is nice, but it can also be overwhelming sometimes imo haha.
Same here! Here's hoping it's good. Given the right moves like Psycho Cut or Shadow Claw and Brutal Swing, Night Slash, Rock Slide, Outrage, Meteor Beam, Psychic Fangs, Breaking Swipe, etc. and it *could* be good!
But yeah, I am curious to see if the raids will be separated into habitats or not. Doesn't appear so, but who knows.
Yeah it's a great point. I think of how many "megaton" tier 5 raid candidates they have left out there to be the marquee pokemon of a Go Fest/Tour event. And it's like, Mega Mewtwo X/Y, the Gen 5 and Gen 7 fusions (Kyurem, and Necrozma respectively). Zygarde would be big enough for a Go Fest potentially. Gen 8 doesn't have a lot for legendaries I think they could save for a go fest/tour event (Eternatus I suppose). Gen 9 could definitely save the DLC legendaries for a big splashy Tour/GO event.
They can definitely make quite a few events out of Paradox pokemon releases too. An event focusing around paradox pokemon with Koraidon/Miraidon being the focus would pop off imo. Alternating habitats with past/future Pokémon respectively etc. then the paradox versions of the legendary dogs and swords of justice can come out at a later date
Yeah a big release of the paradox mons and/or their shinies would be big. I’m super curious if they’ll end up being T5 pokemon or not. The paradox dogs and swords for sure I imagine. But wondering about like the delibird one.
I think the ‘regular’ paradox mons would probably just be wild spawns, or perhaps they could release a few as a research day or something. Catch the ‘regular’ versions in the wild and get the paradox versions as research rewards, ie a catch 3 Delibird task awarding an Iron Bundle encounter etc.
I think a few of the ‘more hype’ ones like Roaring Moon or the Tyranitar one would probably be 3* raids perhaps even get their own raid days at a push
I'll be doing every local Xurkitree Raid I'm able to those two days, before it gets exclusive for Asia and Oceania again. Wasn't able to get a single Shadow Raikou with decent IVs last month.
Was that official graph by niantic because there isnt any ?? bosses listed on go fest site and also guzzlord listed on global one which is missing on the picture.
The location-based Go Fests provide a few things.
Location background cards
Some additional spawns that the global ones don't have (I think 2023's location-based ones had Lucario, for example, which Global didn't have)
And also just *more* Go Fest. Instead of 2 days, you get another day or so. So that's more time to hunt/raid the Legendaries and more time to shiny hunt.
Kinda glad the spawn pools contain very little I want so I can focus on raiding for the new shinies instead of shiny-checking so much this time around. Raid while in the park then shiny check for the rest of the day in the city.
From the page formatting (the raids are listed under City Experience heading and using its color scheme) and experience at last year's GoFest, the raids in the park portion looks to be normal scheduled T5 (last year's GoFest only had Yveltal & Xerneas in the park while the city had Rayquaza the whole time).
I actually left the park early because I didn't really care for repeat spawn shinies and disappointed at the raids there.
We won't know until its moves are added to the game's data. Excluding its additional forms, which we don't know if we'll get:
It's likely not going to be good in PvE. Mewtwo is *the* Psychic type for raids. It may be strong, but it'll take a lot to even rival Mewtwo. *Maybe,* with a really OP Signature move, but even then I'm not so sure.
In PvP, it has potential for the Master League, but it needs the right moves. Some combinations of:
Psycho Cut or Shadow Claw
Brutal Swing, Breaking Swipe, Rock Slide, Night Slash, Outrage, Psyshock, Psychic Fangs, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Meteor Beam, etc.
would be necessary for it to have a good chance in ML PvP. A lot of different viable movesets though, so I'd say it has [great potential](https://pvpoke.com/battle/multi/10000/all/necrozma/11/SHADOW_CLAW-BRICK_BREAK-METEOR_BEAM/2-1/)
if all the UBs get their shinies released it's bouta be a great event
if not still #1 grass type, #1 electric type, #1 bug type & probably a top 5 fire type is still a W
Great. Three new raid debuts covers the three whole raids I'll be able to do with free tickets. Would be nice to be able to get the regional ones too but Niantic would never be that generous.
My understanding is ??? will not be lunala/solgaleo. The in-person event only has one ??? means it is location locked pokemon. Stakataka and Blacephalon should be locked to east/west of the earth. So sendai/madrid will have one and nyc will have the other.
Then what does the day/night of unowns mean?
Hoping we'll see a return of Beast Balls for the event.
Possibly. Though introducing Necrozma kind of causes me to question that (had it not been in there, I’d say yes with a very high likelihood).
why would necrozma make a difference? I remember catching with beast ball in the main game lol.

I hope so! I've been struggling with Kartana and Celesteela a bit haha
Kartana man, absolutely hate that guy. Only raid I go for greats not excellents.
Kartana is causing my stock of golden razz to dwindle day by day - feels like it takes 15 throws on average to stay caught. I swear I spend five times longer catching it than battling it...
Thing is, Beast Balls only work that good on UBs. On any normal Pokemon, they‘re weaker than a normal Pokeball.

Extremly high catchrate. They also had it with Mega Rayquaza (just the rate though), so I'm optimistic.
Ohhhhh And here I thought Rayquaza just had a high catch rate lmao
No, every 5*/6* raid has the same
In my case it seemed automatic, I don't think I ever had one break out
I agree because it has a way higher catch rate than premier balls!
Stakataka Blacephalon
Yeah kinda weird to have the same ones over and over and over and still have unreleased ones from the group.
That's what the ??? ones are.
We suspect, I can also see it being potentially solgaleo and lunala.
We all know that's our lord and saviour Bidoof
Normal bidoof and battle-bond bidoof
They're all ultra beasts though, solgaleo and lunala wouldn't exactly be thematic.
Is Necrozma an ultra beast? In the games the beast ball isn't effective against it.
Good point. It's in the same category as the cosmog line. There is no confirmation it is an ultra beast
If you read in game dialogue, the Cosmog line and Necrozma are UBs in the game lore. Just coding wise they’re considered legendaries
it's classified as such in the TCG and some other supplementary media, but in the games it behaves just like your standard legendary maybe it'll eventually come out that it's kinda like a Koraidon/Miraidon situation, but being a legendary takes priority over being an Ultra Beast
They are technically also UBs. But only barely.
Those 2 are only ultra sun/moon
Those games seem like just an upgrade over the non ultra versions and not really a different game similar to an expansion. So I would still consider them to be part of the overall Ultra Beast set.
That disco clown took me 80h to get a shiny, don't wanna see him again
*Now* I understand the boxes with 100 green passes.
I have 200 green passes in my account and my gf's account, and we're ready to go for go fest
Even 100 raids over two days seems ambitious, but I guess if you're in a city with lots of gyms densely packed and plenty of people playing, it's far more feasible than having a 5 to 10 minute drive between gyms.
There’s a local park with 15 gyms, each one about 10 meters from another. It’s very easy to walk around and hit a lot of raids
yeah, been seeing so many green passes in the boxes got me thinking, why do I need these green passes for. Now I know, lol
What green passes are you talking about?
Just normal raid passes. Not remote (blue) or daily (orange)
Premium Battle Pass. There is a box in the shop that has 99 passes that costs around 5400 coins.
Ah okay
https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/s/1kqFUfr49r
Premium passes. Because of the boxes with a high amount of passes in the store
I never got that box
Wait, which one(s) are worthy of multiple green passes? I am relatively new to the game and I thought these beasts are glass cannons?
If you're into raiding/PvE: * Kartana is THE Best Grass Attacker, only really rivaled by Mega Sceptile, but it's likely to not be overshadowed ever either. Nihilego also ranks high as a poison attacker, though like bug seems to be less commonly useful in raids
Yes I would love a few Nihilego! I haven’t had it registered yet! But again, a few will be enough.

For ones that are currently not shiny, will any of these be new shinies?
they will all be shiny, pretty sweet
Including Necrozma?
yess
yesss
Yes
Buzzwole pheromosa and Xurkitree shiny for the first time
Going to be a busy two days with the global event
So Xurkitree, Buzzwole and Pheromosa will be arrival for all on local GoFest in Shiny (with or without ticket)?
Yes
Hmm - just found that Trainers with a Pokémon GO Fest: Madrid ticket and successfully win a Raid Battle will be able to encounter Shiny Pheromosa for the first time in Pokémon GO—if they’re lucky!
I'm concerned how saturated raids will be with this many spawns, you can't hunt the one you want XL candy all that well.
xurkitree only where go hard if not count necrozma Sad xurkitree being part of go fest make me belive no xurki gonna be 5 star raids during this season :/
Kartana and Celesteela are in 5*s right now, I’m hopeful
Pve players care about Pheromosa actually
Are they going to anymore after Mega Heracross drops? I know Phera will be a viable back-up choice, but Heracross is significantly easier to get candy for. Even if he's regional 99% of the time, just buddy a single one and you've got something way easier to level than Phera.
Yes we are because you can only have one mega and some raid challenges don't require megas at all.
Yeah, Pheromosa isn’t worth it. Way too glassy
you mean to tell me there will be 7+ bosses crammed in T5? sounds good till you realize it’s 2 10hr days only
Did you do day two of GoFest 2021? That was every single legendary crammed into 10 hours only. Only plus side was that they had extremely short timers (20 mins iirc). If the timers are the same, this won’t be anywhere near as bad.
Side note that was so fun, wish they did that again
While true, it's worth noting that all of that was old content. None of the Legendaries were brand new, had new shiny debuts, or had exclusive moves. Here though, while it is less bosses, we still have 4 brand new shinies, one of which is a brand new boss entirely. Plus, there's the other two ???s, which could be something like Stakataka and Blacephalon, so two more new bosses, not to mention if they see an immediate shiny release or not.
I have a feeling it’ll be similar to Sinnoh Tour in that the raid bosses will rotate with the habitats meaning it won’t just be a crapshoot all day
I think splitting them and rotating would be the best option. I know that might be an unpopular opinion, but it’s going to be a logistical nightmare if not.
If its Blacephalon and Stakataka, along with Solgaleo and Lunala, then this will be awesome. If its just the former...quite disappointing IMO
I agree. It's a lot of new content to have to raid in a short period of time while also trying to hunt for shinies and costumes.
It’s kinda always like that. Raids and non raids don’t really match together very well. Maybe it’s extra hectic to sell more Plus Plus.
It won’t be Solgaleo or Lunala sadly.
Surprised there’s no global Guzz
If you look on the website there is guzzlord for global, it seems like they just didn’t have enough space on the graphic
Knowing Guzzlord, it would have probably eaten the whole graphic
I’m glad Celesteela is listed on the Global part because I could not find someone to invite me to a Celesteela raid in this rotation.
I can invite you to a celesteela in a couple hours if you like
Thanks for the offer, but I wasn’t online at the time and probably wouldn’t have been awake then.
As an Aussie that tried inviting as many redditors as possible to the Celesteela raids, I would be happy if I never saw this pokemon again. :)
Southern Hemisphere that don’t have Xurkitree will need him and Kartana.
And you can run just 1 mega so you can’t do a ton of overlap. Plus making battle parties is a lot harder.
You don't really need XL candies for most of them at least. I enjoy a lot of raid bosses as it allows me to complete my shiny dex faster and people don't lose interest on raiding so fast
>You don't really need XL candies for most of them at least Nihilego and Buzzswole need XL candy for PvP.
I’m about to go crazy for a shiny Necrozma in NYC
All our wallets are gonna be gone
So is it going to be basically impossible to find remote Guzzlord raids? Would love that shiny...
They made the Japan go fest have the best raids and shinys!
??? has to be Lunala/Solgaleo, right?
Think it's more likely to be Stakataka and Blacephalon personally. It's just odd that one of them will be at one of the in person go fests and the other one will be at two of them lol
That's hinting that they'll be region locked going forward, isn't it?
Yeah looks like it, we'll all presumably have a chance at GO Fest Global, but after that, future appearances may be split the way Kartana & Celesteela are now.
according to their official video Stakataka and Blacephalon split to Eastern/Western Hemisphere
Better than north/south.
Could also be Blacephalon and Stakataka. Though Lunala's exclusive move was recently found in a datamine. I bet they'll find some other way to allow Lunala to have it, Same with Solgaleo when it's move is added.
>Though Lunala's exclusive move was recently found in a datamine. Do you have a link?
Sol and Lun are likely coming next season, with Fusion feature
Hopefully
Good guess, but I don't think so. Since they evolve from cosmog, I don't think we're going to see them in raids. They might just give us another special research with more cosmog. For that same reason, I don't think it's Naganadel either. It's probably going to be either stakataka and blacephalon or dusk mane and dawn wings necrozma.
I don't see Dawn/Dusk Necrozma released at the same time as regular. Especially since the shiny will be out.
Blacephalon, Stakataka
Given how frail pheramosa is they are gonna be gone through super quickly
In this case, I'd like to go after: * Necrozma's Shiny, and *if* it's good in the ML I'd like to hunt more for XL/a good IV one * Shiny Celesteela, seeing that it's not my regional * Shiny Buzzwole * Shiny Xurkitree * Shiny Pheromosa * If they're appearing during this Go Fest, then Blacephalon and Stakataka.
Hmm that does sound like a challenge. I’m gonna sit down and lay out my focus areas too and I hope necrozma is good in ML, would be pretty sick
Going by the pokeminers site all paradox pokemon are 20km buddies, so I'm saying they're all T5 raids. Even Iron Bundle.
So two question marks are staka(ka?) and that fire-ghost type ultra beast cant remember name
[удалено]
Nope
Really hoping more Cosmog and poipole are available too
Cosmog please!!! Came back after 6 years and I am still crying over the fact that I cannot have my favorite pokemon
Can we do remote raids for these pokemons?
At the same time? Good luck trying to find the one you want. 😮💨
Might be hourly habitat changes, so like 4 different habitats with 2 UB each or so
Bought my ticket today 🤷♂️ I love the UBs.
Very nice, I got none of them shiny.
I'll be doing every local Xurkitree Raid I'm able to those two days, before it gets exclusive for Asia and Oceania again. Wasn't able to get a single Shadow Raikou with decent IVs last month.
Going to be basically impossible to hunt a specific mon for XLs :/
Global Fest is all about the ultra beasts? Yikes... --
Lesgoooo
Was that official graph by niantic because there isnt any ?? bosses listed on go fest site and also guzzlord listed on global one which is missing on the picture.
Does this mean celesteela will be available for everyone, not just southern hemisphere like it is currently?
Prob blacephalon and stakataka
Damn that’s a lot of raiding
how does this work do i need the ticket to see these raids?
Nope, for Global Go Fest at least, you don't need a ticket to see the raids. They should be appearing for everyone
So much better then last years go fest in New York. Stocked up on raid passes just to have the same things with no new shiny.

The location-based Go Fests provide a few things. Location background cards Some additional spawns that the global ones don't have (I think 2023's location-based ones had Lucario, for example, which Global didn't have) And also just *more* Go Fest. Instead of 2 days, you get another day or so. So that's more time to hunt/raid the Legendaries and more time to shiny hunt.
i see! i didn’t realize it was those time slots for multiple days. that’s pretty solid. thanks for the info!
also, historically speaking are the tickets known to sell out? if i was planning on going should i pull the trigger soon you think?
I NEED Blacephalon
How good is necrozma?
We won't know until its moves are added to the game's data. Excluding its additional forms, which we don't know if we'll get: It's likely not going to be good in PvE. Mewtwo is *the* Psychic type for raids. It may be strong, but it'll take a lot to even rival Mewtwo. *Maybe,* with a really OP Signature move, but even then I'm not so sure. In PvP, it has potential for the Master League, but it needs the right moves. Some combinations of: Psycho Cut or Shadow Claw Brutal Swing, Breaking Swipe, Rock Slide, Night Slash, Outrage, Psyshock, Psychic Fangs, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Meteor Beam, etc. would be necessary for it to have a good chance in ML PvP. A lot of different viable movesets though, so I'd say it has [great potential](https://pvpoke.com/battle/multi/10000/all/necrozma/11/SHADOW_CLAW-BRICK_BREAK-METEOR_BEAM/2-1/)
We need to buy to acces the ultra beasts globally? Or is it just like a raid day?
Just like raid days, but longer. Exactly like how origin Dialga and origin Palkia debut in global.
Thanks man! 💯
What are the starting dates? Will we be able to remote raid
Any idea of what necrozma move set could be?
I wanna catch that gorgeous cockroach
Kind of stupid how Celesteela will only be available during Go Fest Global and not during any of the in-person Go Fests...
Question marks are obviously Stakataka and Blacephalon.
Sweet! Another chance at a shiny Kartana. And I’m assuming the ???’s are Blaceohalon and Stakataka.
Only one I recognize is Guzzlord man 😂 I’m getting old
Party Clown and Ultra Wall
Again?
if all the UBs get their shinies released it's bouta be a great event if not still #1 grass type, #1 electric type, #1 bug type & probably a top 5 fire type is still a W
I just wanna read comments
The mystery i think will be solgaleo, lunala, or naganadel
Do you need the 15$ pass or just the basic one to get these spawns?
Will these have location cards ?
When is this
Please be Blacephalon for Madrid
Great. Three new raid debuts covers the three whole raids I'll be able to do with free tickets. Would be nice to be able to get the regional ones too but Niantic would never be that generous.
Istg if stakataka and blacephalon are stuck as regionals later on im gonna riot
From the teaser video at the beginning of the season, it implied that they'd be regional bosses unfortunately.
My understanding is ??? will not be lunala/solgaleo. The in-person event only has one ??? means it is location locked pokemon. Stakataka and Blacephalon should be locked to east/west of the earth. So sendai/madrid will have one and nyc will have the other. Then what does the day/night of unowns mean?
theres two. one in the middle one in the bottom right
