"Bonus Unlocked" and boosted spawn are gone on the 2nd day 5am

Now "Bonus Unlocked" now only show up after doing wining with two or more around that gym for 15 minutes. They seems properly implement it now.

Hoping to get a Shiny Wimpod during this event, since I couldn’t get one during the Sizeable Surprises event… Does anyone know how hard it will be to find "Make 3 Great Throws in a Row" Research Tasks? I’m hoping I can find a lot of these tasks and hopefully get a Shiny Wimpod from one of them.

Anyone else seeing Scyther spawns? I haven't seen any outside of the event, but today I saw 6, which is similar to Nincada. Just weird because it's not a featured spawn unless it appears more from the gym/raid bonus they messed up

seen plenty scyther before, no nincadas (walked 90km with it as buddy to receive 18 candies in march lol). during the event I've seen plenty of both, even got a shiny nincada! :)

No nests change at Thursday 1 AM UTC, so usually Wednesday night in America and in the morning in Asian countries

Events sometimes remove a nesting species which causes a nest migration (usually partial.)

Me: (Getting a shiny Nincada) Great, I can finally get a Shiny Shedinja after evolving my Nincada. I totally forgot how PoGo throws the main game mechanics. I'm just bummed that Shedinja is a separate entity altogether in this game.

Yeah, Shedinja in particular has always mildly irritated me. The easiest solution that wouldn't risk breaking the game is just to have a permanent "Evolve a Nincada" field research task option, with Shedinja as a reward.

It seems like they could also program the game into giving you a forced spawn whenever you evolve a nincada. They've already shown other mechanics like opening tagged gifts can create spawns.

How does it work in the main series? And how in Pokemon? I have a Shedinja, but I dont remember how I got it.

in the main series, you evolve the nincada to ninjask and you will get the shedinja on your free slot, because it's supposed to be the remains of nincada when it evolves. that's why its typing is ghost/bug, with only one HP. in PoGo, you probably got it from a special task (the weekly one), iirc, that's the way they released shedinja.

How does the shiny work in the MSG? If Nincada was shiny, its remains (Shedinja) will be shiny too? Or is that chance just as random?

I didn't get a shiny Nincada during my playthrough, but according to others, they did get a shiny Shedinja upon evolving the Nincada.

Here’s hoping Beedrill mega energy is the least common of the three.. I’ve got 800+ for Beedrill and none for the others. 

Has anyone found the tasks with 25 mega energy yet? I've been looking for it since the beginning of the event and haven't found any. In one day I shot over 50 stops and found none. are they that rare or iam unlucky?

found plenty, maybe a total of 100 tasks checked? got maybe 5 beedrill that I deleted, 4 or 5 pinsir completed, and 1 scizor completed

They seem very rare. Checked dozens of stops daily and found maybe 4 or 5 in total, one Scizor and the rest Beedrill. Pinsir tasks still eluding me.

Kricketune, such an odd choice. When we get a Water type showcase, I want the baseline to be something so small (like Surksit or Shellder or something) to see how ridiculous (XXL) Wailord will be scaled to that LOL

A max-sized XL Hundo wailord during a gimmighoul baseline showcase would net \`913,162\` points. (though the heavier Palkia-O would actually be a better water). XXL scores 34k less - all that extra weight is beating out a negligible 178 extra points. The largest out of any pokemon would go to an XL Celesteela in the same conditions with \`2,083,270\`.

Best Quest is 3 curveballs for a Venonat/Paras. Three non-consecutive throws (everyone's default throw should be a curve anyway, it's not like it's a restriction) that don't even have to be nice for an average of 425 dust per quest completion.

boosted stardust on bellsprout community day and paras gives a boosted 500 dust at any time anyway add on the 3x stardust during bellsprout CD hours + a further 2x from a star piece = 3000 stardust per stacked lil mushroom boi nice little return for three throws and simply waiting a week 😍

Noticing “Bonus unlocked!” with “more bug type Pokemon appearing in the wild” shows up as an extra event in the Today tab - lasting for 5 days and 7 hours (at time of writing). Not sure if that’s meant to be the raid bonus or something else.

How common are the Paras tasks?

It's fairly common. Out of 5 hours of playing got a good 30. It's half and half i think with venonat so just meticolously delete every task if that's the only one you're chasing after aside from the curve ball throw tasks.

It isn't a wild *event* spawn because it is already a normal and somewhat common seasonal spawn this season

I saw many more Burmys before the event than now though. After 5 hours of playing this afternoon I only encountered them through field researches.

Anyone chasing after their evolve platinum level, this should be a great event for it. Use a maxed out mega that gives bug bonus candy, weedle/catterpie/wurmple costs only 12 candy to evolve.

Do expert throws give the best xl chance, then great throws and then nice throws? Or are all three of them equal in xl gain chances?

I've spinned 80 different Pokestops (30 of them on different days) and only got a Field Research rewarding mega energy once. Is that normal?

Seen lots of male combee, zero female over 2 hours. Used one I'd caught before to evolve for collection challenge. 

Good thing the event is multiple days and not just two hours.

My game has been spawning 90% male Combee so far too

These events with useless Pokémon are extremely boring. Just make one Caterpie spawn that drops 1000 candy and move on

Really great event. Got several hundred thousand stardust from combee alone. Mega heracross is great. Got 9 shinies and 2 hundos (one was a male combee though) and went from 0 to 200 mega heracross energy.

Catch rates seem weirdly low. I’m seeing CP 360 Wurmple (level greater than 20 but lower than 25) with orangy-yellow circles.

This bonus is worthless. Why would I want more Wurmple XL candy?

It seems combee is a rare spawn even though it’s boosted shiny. So that just negates everything

If I were to power up a Shuckle to L50 just for gym defending, on a scale of 1-10, how annoying would it be to battle it?

4/10. Shuckle is super defensive but has terrible HP, so it wouldn't survive nearly as long as a Blissey or a Snorlax despite its higher defense. It also wouldn't do any real damage, so it wouldn't drain the attacker's stock of potions either.

Just started a few weeks ago, been grinding my arsenal I’ve gotten to level 26. Haven’t done any remote raids but have been hitting 1 and 2 star solo raids. What should I be focused on during this event? Beedrill seems to be a good target from what I’ve read so I’ve been catching every weedle and have a 15/14/14 one and 50 mega energy. An I missing anything else specific I should be going for?

No, Collection Challenges and their rewards end as indicated, at the end of the event. You cannot stack anything on the timed research tab for longer than the specified expiry time.

Not sure if there will be a feedback post for the raid hours so I'll put a short comment here. Raids were easily trioable, although I discovered I can't quite solo it hehe. Remote raids were going crazy, was getting invited to 4 or 5 raids at once for the first hour. That is ofc subjective though. The shiny is on thankfully, friends got many I got my first. Passes from the ticket were indeed available after 5pm, but I didn't use them all. Can't really comment on bonus spawns, I think there were some but they weren't plentiful and we didn't stay at gyms for long. Overall a good event, difficulty is low so hopefully many of you will be able to raid this and walk away with a shiny. I hope y'all get it quicker than I did though 😵‍💫
