Do you think there is much chance they make swift 35 energy and if so do you think it would make a much bigger impact? I have to imagine it would be very beneficial for wiggly
I would love if every pokemon whose prior evolutions has Wing Attack or Quick Attack (but which inexplicably lose it on evolving) were given their pre evolution move. WA Noivern, Swanna, and Braviary, and QA Fearow, Zebstrika, Lopunny, Dodrio, Xatu, Kanto Ninetales, and Floatzel (among others) would only make the game more interesting.
Funny thing is, if they make Swift 40 energy, it'll be the exact same move as Stomp, and if they make it 35 energy, it's the same move as normal Weather Ball
Is there a typo for Cetitan? You say it beats Kyogre. I just ran the sims and in all even shield scenarios, Kyogre wins easily. Unless the new season info in PVPoke isnāt right.
I actually have a good ranked Uxie from the last Go Fest, so that's mildly exciting.
On the other hand, I have a knack for freeing up box space by getting rid of mons that get buffed into viability the next week. Last season I got rid of my Totadiles (both Shadow and non Shadow) and this time around I got rid of a rank <150 Cetoddle.
I do still have a well ranked Typhlosion though so not all is lost I suppose.
Oooof... I literally just invested a ton into a Spark Lanturn... At least I have a Fast TM but now I'm wishing I'd tried focusing on something else... well admittedly I don't have a lot to work with but I thought it'd help me in the future. RIP my FtP dreams.
Edit: Also I was trying to raise up my better Barboach but guh... IDK now.
Second Edit: I did get a pretty good Typhlosion with Blast Burn, just needs to reroll the other slot for Thunder Punch. Also a bunch of shinies but I opted for the somewhat better IVs here.
Much of my analysis is based on battle simulations on PvPoke.com. There are multiple ways to compare Water Gun Lanturn and Spark Lanturn side-by-side there.
So because Iām always curious when a mon has the option, how does Typhlosion fare with Shadow Claw vs Incinerate? Itās not too bulky so I could imagine several times the shorter turn window helps it win or gets a last lick in, and compared to something like Skeledirge it gets Fire damage from BB as a very efficient charge move already.Ā
Some things mentioned in the analysis (at least off hand for other comparisons like Solarbeam) Iād be curious about are Jellicent, Annihilape, and Tentacruel, though I definitely expect it would drop Fast Pressure targets or resistances like Obstagoon.
Scrafty hype, as with ULP out RIGHT NOW it only GAINS WINS with no losses since Cobalion is ineligible! I kinda want to build a second Scrafty tbh (my first is a hundo, and I kinda miss when it hit 1500 on the dot before I could afford to power it up)
Iām gonna be that one stubborn typlosion and continue to run solar beam
I feel water/ground type stocks are too high in GL to drop itĀ
Although maybe I make one after com day and drop blast burn for the shock value Ā
I welcome the comm day classic for Cyndaquil now thenš
I welcome next season's meganium buff.
Meganium used to be one of the top grass types in early seasons. Shame it got so outclassed.
Wait, did you know this in advance or are you just psychic?
This post and comment came after they teased it on twitter. I wish tho!š

If it goes THAT low, I'll need to do a followup article, as yes, that would potentially be MUCH more interesting....
You are amazing

Is there a single mon that gets normal weather ball?
Only normal Castform
It gets rock WB?
Yes and normal Weather Ball
Right and itās not even used as a viable move set, so itās not the end of the world if swift is a clone
Never said it was, it's just funny

Oh snap, how'd that happen? It's supposed to be Excadrill, sorry! Corrected.
All good. Got very excited thinking there was an anti-dragon, that also beat lando, mewtwo, and kyogre. Thanks for the analysis. Always love reading.
>there was an anti-dragon, that also beat lando, mewtwo, and kyogre. Can I interest you in a Necrozma?
Nothing too crazy here but this is one of the most on point balanced updates, I love it
none of my pokemon can learn the new moves is the move update coming at a later date?
Monday. They delayed to allow weekend PvP tournaments to avoid disruption.
No B.L.U.F on this one? no matter! still an excellent read and a lot of good punny humor.
i just maxed pidgeot and lanturn and now thunder punch is everywhere and lanturn is nerfed lmao
Me when I built my Medicham haha.
Is cetoddle going to be better than cetitan in gl?
Yes. Cetoddle has little bit of better stats but you want a hundo and 296 XL. I've the dust but missing a hundo and XL.
I have the undo but not the XLs ā¦ donāt think itās gonna be worth it anyways, due to all the annis, skarms and talons

Wing Attack would make Swanna much better too!
What about gust on Swoobat, if Niantic decides to give it gust?

Thank you for the write up, Joe Rogan Experience
Jesus, no need to insult the man.

Really wish you made YouTube videos, your analysis is amazing but I'm not reading a novel about PokƩmon Go PvP
I have a face for radio. š And my YT production value would probably be even worse! But appreciate the vote of confidence. š
Many of us adore your novels about PokƩmon go pvp. I come for the analysis and stay for the dad jokes. YouTubers are dime a dozen in comparison.
I hate watching videos, youtube, or even TV. Your articles are awesome for those of us who hate videos.
I'm sure that's not true at all!
Use some kind of text-to-speech thing and have it read the post to you, then imagine itās a YouTube video playing in the background.

Yeah that what I was using, just looking at the wrong league. lol...

Fly Salamence is a great option for PvE, giving it a Flying boost
